Sweet Sunday Sketch #177

Happy Sunday!!!! Hope you've had a wonderful weekend. It's time of course for another Sweet Sunday Sketch, so I hope you can join us.

I've been wanting to try out the "Chalkboard" technique that I've seen on various blogs, so that's just what I did this week... try it out :D

I've used some of the DIVINE papers from the NEW Seasonal Catalogue More Amore Specialty DSP... GORGEOUS!!!! And some of the equally DIVINE Two Tone Ribbon. The stamp set is a Sale-a-bration set called Vintage Verses ( YOU can earn this one for FREE!!!), and I've used Versamark ink and White Embossing powder on the image. Some White Craft Ink to make the Black Cardstock seem Chalkboardy and that's it. It's a really simple technique, VERY effective and FUN!! Can't wait to play around with it some more .

Sweet Sunday Sketch #175

Happy Sunday!! AND Happy New Year!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and are all looking forward to an amazing year. It's our first Sweet Sunday Sketch for the year, I hope you get some time to join us today and of course throughout the year, IT'S FUN!!!

Here is my card for this weeks sketch:-

I've used Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Primrose Petals, Very Vanilla and Basic Black as my colour combo today and I kinda like how it all came together.

The sentiment is from my Perfect Punches stamp set (which is VERY under used!) and I stamped that in versamark and embossed (the birthday part) in White embossing powder. The 'happy' part was coloured with my Marker in Primrose Petals.

There's a little sneak at some of the 'Sale-a-bration' ribbon, which you can earn yourself for FREE from the 22nd January!!!.. Can you see it, poking out there, under the Delicate Doily? It's Pool Party, and it's LOVELY!!! I'll post more details about how you can get that SOON!!

I've added a Dahlia in Primrose Petals and a Butterfly embellishment, which was made by using my Beautiful Wings Embosslit.

Merry Christmas!!!!

Christmas Eve!!! It's here again, ALREADY!!!! Where did the year go??? It's been a crazy year, filled with little people growing up before our eyes, school, giggles, FUN, travelling overseas, meeting {FINALLY} a very special friend for the first time (while overseas), the occasional tough time, tears, BUT mainly happy memories!! How can I not have happy and amazing memories with such a BEAUTIFUL family, and AMAZING and GORGEOUS friends.

OOhh LOOK... meeting FINALLY my beautiful and amazing friend Karen!!!

A stroll through Central Park!!

And of course!!... This... our Christmas Photo!!.. This is our own Christmas Tradition.. an annual family photo!!. It's so hard during the year to get a photo that actually has the four of us in it, but at Christmas time, we manage to do it. It's amazing to see how much the girls have changed over the year. I'm a bit excited about my project for today's sketch! I had SO much fun making it and can't wait to make some more... hmmm.. teacher's gifts, perhaps. We shall see :D.
