It's ALMOST here!!!... The MOST and I mean MOST EXCITING time of the Stampin' Up! Calendar!!!... THE LAUNCH of the AMAZING, FABULOUS and BRAND NEW Idea's Book and Catalogue!!!

Finally!! The LAST installment!!!

Well!!! As promised some weeks ago... I'm FINALLY sharing my FINAL installment of Convention pics!!

So... here we go with a few snaps of the night of nights on the Stampin' Calendar.... if you thought Convention itself was exciting...well.... add the opportunity to "Dress Up" in our pretties for a night all in the name of Stampin' and you get yourself a whole new level of EXCITEMENT!!!

First up the Lovely and Fabulous Lulla.... it was Lulla who convinced me to wear my BIG Pink Flower in my hair.. I was feeling a little, well, apprehensive about it at first!!! Love this pic!!!

And next the lovely Fi and I... I am in LOVE with her gorgeous dress and adore this pic of the two of us.

And of course the Beautiful and fabulous Sarah Klass!!!

 
 Ooohh.. oohh and here... KIRSTY BROWN!!!... Kirsty is an absolute delight and SOOOOOOOOOO clever.



 And the GORGEOUS Sharnee!!!... One of many HUGS for the night.. I had to get my "fill".. I may not see her again for another 12 months!!! Isn't she gorgeous!!

Some MORE Convention Excitement!!!

Hello!!!!!... It's Friday and it would appear that ALL the rain Perth has missed out on has fallen this morning!!.. Goodness.. that was a whole HEAP of rain is a very short time!!!

Soooo... given it's cold and wet today I thought I'd share some more Convention excitement with you... there will be more.. I've not got my Awards Dinner pics ready yet!! :D

Ok!.. lets go!!:-

 First up!!... The TWO SJK's... yep... same first name...ok.. so I don't have a second name.. but the J in my first name is the same as the J is Sarah's second name!!.. Confused!!??? hahaha... Different surname though ;-). LOVE, LOVE this GORGEOUS girl.... and although I hugged her at any given opportunity while we were away.. I'm LUCKY enough to live about hmmmm... 7mins away should I require a SJK cuddle at any time!!.. Mwah... Love ya to bits!!

 The BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL Sharnee!!!... Really... I simply ADORE her... and still don't think I got to HUG her enough at Convention... Sharnee really is one of the most beautiful, kind and AMAZING ladies I've had the pleasure in meeting. Unfortunately she lives a little too far away for impromptu cuddles... so I have to get my Sharnee hug fix via cyber space... Love you Sharnee!!!

 The AMAZINGLY talented Claire Daly!!... AMAZINGLY talented!!!.. I've stalked Claire's blog FOREVER!! It was SO lovely to catch up with her again this year!! xxx

 The gorgeous Fi!!... I had the pleasure of meeting and sharing a room with Fi last year at Convention!!!... She's absolutely GORGEOUS and it was AWESOME to catch up with her again this year!!.. xxx Fi

 The beautiful Inky LouLou!!!... who is NOT allowed to kill me for posting this GORGEOUS picture of her!!!... Beautiful girl inside and out.. this is the second Convention I've spent with her and I simply ADORE her!!!. xxxx

The FABULOUS and GORGEOUS Lulla!!!... Another amazing and wonderful lady.. NO.. wait FRIEND!!.. I've had the absolute pleasure of getting to know since joining SU!... Love her to BITS and was lucky enough to room with in Melbourne.. Crazy Shower (that's a whole other story!!) and all!!.. hahaha.

Some SU! Convention EXCITEMENT!!!

HELLO!!!.. HELLO!!!.. I'm BACK... I've just spent the most AMAZING 5 days in GORGEOUS Melbourne with the MOST AMAZING, GORGEOUS and INSPIRING ladies at the Stampin' Up! Convention!!! Did I mention I had an AMAZING time!!??

I thought I'd share just a couple of pics with you... there will be MORE.. I just have to edit them all!!

I made a couple of little gifts for some of the GORGEOUS gals I was going with and thought I'd show you those. I had SO much fun making these and only wish I'd come up with the idea to make them a little earlier than I had.. you know.. coming up with a fabulous idea 3 days BEFORE I'm due to fly out, doesn't leave a girl much time, to get things done.. hahaha.. NEXT year.. I'll be much more organised... well that's the plan!!

So.. here is what I made:-

 

This year we had a choice of Clear Mount or Wood MOunt stamp sets in our Convention Bag... the problem.. what to take your Clear Mount stamp blocks in!!... Sooooo.. I made a little pouch to store them in!!! Cool!! Huh!!! But I couldn't just make a pouch.. I HAD to make a little co-ordinating Flower Brooch too!!.. I was SO happy with how they turned out.. and YES I did A HUGE happy dance, which involved copious amounds of squealing, hand clapping, jumping in the air and a little more squealing!!.. Just ask my mum.. I think she thought I'd gone a little crazy!!.. hahaha

The brooches were made using my Big Shot and the Flower Folds XL Die... AMAZING!!

Ooohh and just to get you in the mood for a barrage of COnvention Pics.. I thought I'd show you a couple of pics taken at the Airport just before we boarded our plane:-


Can you see how excited we were.... That's ME.. the GORGEOUS Sarah Klass and FABULOUS Lee (Lulla!!). It's a miracle we didn't get separated on the plane... all that EXCITEMENT!!! hahahha

And this last shot!!.. Well while she didn't come to Convention with me... and I'm sure she would've LOVED to have come.. she did mention it a few times... this is my GORGEOUS little Jorja... Miss Ella was hiding from the camera.. but everytime I got a little HOMESICK.. I just looked at this gorgeous pic.. and SMILED!!!..
And ... was SO excited to get to SQUEEZE her when I got back home!!!

Just checking in!!!

HELLO!!!!

Wow.. it seems like.. well.. FOREVER since I've been on here!! Well in all honesty it has been a while.. but I promise I've had good reason!!.

I've just this week returned from an Overseas holiday with my BEAUTIFUL and GORGEOUS little family. My fabulous hubby and I decided to take our gorgeous girls to Disney Land in Hong Kong!!!! And... it was AMAZING!!!

It's seriously been one of the things on my TO DO LIST!!! I know it sounds crazy and probably a little .. um... WHAT!!!??? Right?... but with the world the way it is today and the way our lives become consumed with being BUSY, working, and the .. "oh it can wait" attitude... my little flossies are growing WAY to fast.. and taking them to Disney Land while they are still such CUTE, YOUNG, tiny little flossies was just something I HAD to do... and am SO thankful that I could do.

The looks on their faces, the excitement in their voices.. not just once, but for the ENTIRE stay was truly PRICELESS and worth every cent. It's a reaction that I know will be never be the same again.. one that although will be filled with excitement "when" we get back there again, will be a different excitement, that type of excitement that changes each year as we get older.

I hope to get back to stamping this week... I'm just trying to recover from the FLIGHTS, the WASHING.. more WASHING.. oh did I say WASHING!!! and then I'll attempt to find that mojo of mine.. hhahaha.

Sweet Sunday Sketch!!!!!... it's COMING!!

Hello!!!

I'm SO sorry... I had a little accident here today, which resulted in a rather lengthy wait at the Childrens hospital Emergency room.. with my little one deciding she'd like to see what would happen if she came into close contact with the edge of a coffee table... lets just say the coffee table faired better!!!!

She's OK.. actually to anyone else you'd never even know what had happened.. she's running around, screaming and generally having a fabulous Flossie time.. ahhaha.

It did mean though that I haven't had a chance to sit down and create my Sweet Sunday Sketch card.. BUT.. I WILL have it up for you this afternoon... HOPEFULLY.. so please come back and visit :D

Creativity of a different kind!!!

Hello!!!! Here's a post of a different kind....something creative.. YES.. but not of the Card or Paper Crafting variety!!!

Many of you may have already read the GORGEOUS and FABULOUS Karen's current post here about her little journey!!

Well... I too have been on that very same journey and like Karen it started with this:-



My little point and shoot.. which led to endless frustration when the FLASH decided it might like to go off ALL the TIME and create ... well... you can see... my pale faced flossies.. who under normal.. unFLASH circumstances are a GORGEOUS olive colour.. you see my problem.. hahaha

Which led to this:-Isn't she GORGEOUS!!!

Although... this sweet shot is now referred to as the "buy me a Pony" shot.. thanks to Aunty Lulla and Aunty Kiki!!!!..




I've LOVED learning about my fabulous new toy.. it's been so much fun.... it's been even more FUN doing all that learning with a very dear friend! :D

I'm about to embark on the next and VERY EXCITING step of this little journey and learn a little more on taking Portraiture photos... I can't wait.. now.. who to take photos of... you see my little ones.. somewhat like Karen's now RUN for dear life in the opposite direction or quite often tease me into believing they are going to allow me to take a photo and give me the CHEEEEEESSSSEEEEE (yes you all know the one) shot!!! Um YEP!!!!

SU! Convention 2010 .... this is a long one!!!!

Hello!!!! Well as you probably know I've just returned for an AMAZING, AWESOME, FABULOUS and somewhat exhausting 3 days in Sydney for the SU! Convention!!!!.

This was my VERY FIRST time to SU! Convention... although at times I felt like a Deer in Headlights, I had a truly amazing time. I got to meet SO many wonderful and talented ladies, got to Swap cards with as many wonderful and talented ladies and got to finally talk face to face with some gorgeous gals who up until now I've only chatted to online. AMAZING!!!

I arrived on Thursday afternoon and made my way to the hotel to be greeted by my roomie for the weekend Fiona Harrison. Fi was on of those gals who up until now I'd not met, just had the pleasure of getting to know online... It was so lovely to finally meet her and we kicked it off straight away... chatting to the wee hours of the night... although we are probably wishing we hadn't done that the first night.... the story!!!!!.... get yourself a cuppa and some chockie!!!!... Anyhoo.. our first night was quite an experience to say the least... and I'm sure that the MANY, MANY other SU! Demo's staying at the same hotel would agree in saying that it's an experience we'd quite likely not have repeat itself... EVER!!! We'd all just settled down for the night.. tucked ourselves up nice and cosy only to be awoken by a BLARING, SCREECHING FIRE alarm... yep... the fire alarm in the hotel had gone off... it took a few seconds to realise that that's what was going on... soooooo.... dressed in our glamourous PJ's... we made our way down 10 flights of stairs at approx 130am to stand in the FREEZING cold.. and it was COLD!!!! We were allowed back into the hotel at around 230ish I think... the numbers are a blur really.. and were told after the fire department arrived that it was and Electrical fault. Cool... back to bed!!! ... oh but it doesn't end there... again... we got ourselves tucked in and all comfy cosy only to be awoke AGAIN.. by the same BLARING, SCREECHING FIRE alarm, although this time with the added extra of a voice telling us that we had to EVACUATE the building!!! YES AGAIN!!!.... Once again... glamorously dressed we made our way back down 10 flights of stairs to the FREEZING cold!!!! FUN!!! NOT!!!.... again we were let back into the hotel and told it was an ELECTRICAL fault... you'd kinda think they'd get that fixed... right???... this time though, in the urgency of getting SOME sleep before our FIRST day of Convention... we opted to take the stairs back up to our room... so yes.. back up 10 flights of stairs.... I have to say... I'm quite fond of a little exercise.. but that amount of exercise that early in the morning...C RAZY... I must admit though.. next time... I must give myself at least a couple on minutes to STRETCH!!!!... I could hardly move when it was time to actually get up!!!

Soooooo... you still with me????? I promise there are some pics coming!!!...

We made our way over to the Convention Centre at 730ish for Registration and the chance to meet and swap with some other demos... EXCITING!!!.. and as promised here come the pics!!!!

First up here are the Swaps I made.... I went for FOUR (yes FOUR) designs... I guess given it was my first I was VERY excited!!!! hahaha




Ok so now that I have all the DRAMA out of the way... wanna see some FUN pics??? Some pics of some FABULOUS gals I got meet, and hang out with.... AMAZING!!!!

The TWO SJK's... yep.... we both have the same initials... the fabulous, amazing and absolutely GORGEOUS gal Sarah Klass and moi!!!... absolutely ADORE this gal and am so very glad that this crazy Stampin' thing has allowed us to become friends... Mwah!!

Ooohh and who else.. oh yes.. fellow Inkspiration gals... the AMAZING Teneale... seriously talented this gal... and YES I did get to swap with her... that was my main objective... hunt Teneale down and not leave until I got one of her Swaps... Mission Accomplished... and of course the gorgeous and extremely TALENTED Kirsty Brown.... AMAZING!!!... I was SO happy to finally get to meet these two amazing ladies... they truly are fabulous:-



Ooohhh and this one is one of my fave pics of Convention... Sarah, Sharnee Torrents, and me.. oh and that absolutely DELIGHTFUL little bundle in the front... Sharnee's little Esther. After speaking with Sharnee on Friday morning and not realising until after she'd gone that it was her... yes insert 'head slap moment' ) I looked and looked and looked for her all day Friday and Saturday.. FINALLY I found her... and she is absolutely GORGEOUS... waving Sharnee... I'm SO very glad I found you and actually got to chat with you.

CONVENTION!!!!! Here I Come!!!!

YES!!!! I am VERY, VERY, VERY excited.. you know that silly, giggly school girl kind of excited!!!! This is my VERY first Convention and I can't believe that I am jumping on a plane tomorrow and heading over to Sydney... I KNOW!!!!! EXCITING!!!

I've been frantically cutting, scoring, sticking, stamping, ribbon tying all week with the help of course with some fabulous Chatter from the my GORGEOUS friends Lee and Sarah.. and of course we had to practice the whole CHOCOLATE eating thing... you know you have to eat chocolate when you stamp.. Right??? hahaha

I'll be away from my computer for a whole four days, so I thought I show you a little sneaky peak at the swaps I've made to take along. I'll be sure to post ALL of them when I return as well as some gossip and of course pictures from Convention. Did I mention I was EXCITED.


I can't wait to FINALLY meet so many of the amazing and talented stampers I've been admiring from afar.. aka... Teneale Williams, Kirsty Brown, Marelle Taylor, oh and the list goes on, and on and on.. oh and of course I will be getting to meet my roomie the gorgeous Fiona Harrison for the very first time too!!! EXCITING.

Hello There!!!

I just wanted to pop on in and let you know that I am STILL here. I hope you haven't all jumped ship and given up on me. We've just returned from 10 days on Hamilton Island and as you can imagine... the unpacking, cleaning up and washing cycle has begun, add to that madness I still have to organise Jorja's 3rd Birthday for Sunday, get the Christmas tree up and all the pressies wrapped.

My Beautiful Ella - Day ONE!!!

Hi there!!! As promised in this post, during the week I'll be popping up the scrap pages I've made of my Beautiful Ella, who celebrated her FIRST birthday on Saturday. I made these pages for her scrap book, but also to have on display during her party, so that everyone could see just how much she's grown. Well OK, I think everyone already knew that, but it was fun making them, and made Mummy here a bit teary while searching the hundreds of pic we have of her to make each page.

So, today I've got her arrival and One Month pages.

Ella is literally minutes old in this photo.... she came so quickly that it was taken on Shane's mobile phone, because YES we didn't have time to get the camera out of the car... it was get ME out or have baby in the car... hahaha.

And here she is at One Month old.... smiley, happy and just adorable.

Want to see what I've been doing????

Just thought I'd pop in and show you oh so quickly what I've been up to recently.

I'm organising a Baby Shower for my darling sister and opted (of course) to make her Baby Shower invites as well as all the prizes and any other bits and bobs needed for the special day. Sooo....I had this idea in my head for some cute little invites, thinking that I wanted to keep it nice and simple... well hold on to your hats because I'm about to show you my idea of 'SIMPLE'..... (not!!!).


Quite the simple little exercise when you are creating just one invitation, not the 26 or so that I have had to do. Here is the pic of all the little animals from my FAVE 'Wild About You' set... they are absolutely adoarable aren't they... so now can you see how I just couldn't resist... hahaha

And here is a little close up of the little lion... YES that is THREE different layers on his head... CRAZY I know!!!!

Now that I've stamped them and cut them all out, It's time to assemble the invitations... so be sure to pop back soon, to see the finished product.. I SOOOOOO hope they turn out how i've imagined them and I hope that KJ loves them too.
