Jolly - Sweet Sunday Sketch #288

Happy Sunday! It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! All the details are over on the Sweet Sunday Sketch blog. Join us, and perhaps you could be our SPOTLIGHT designer for the week!!!

Here is my card for this week's sketch:-

Here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

Seriously, how DIVINE is this GORGEOUS Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper!? It's SOOO divine and in my honest opinion, you  NEED to have some! I've teamed it with some Crumb Cake card stock and some EQUALLY divine Very Vanilla Subtle Stripes Satin RIbbon ( it ties THE BEST BOWS... just sayin' ). The little Santa has been cut out from a piece of the aforementioned DIVINE DSP and I've used the VERY cute Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies for the sentiment. Quick, simple and amazingly easy for a bulk lot of Chrissy cards!.

Please stop by the Sweet Sunday Sketch blog and find out all the details for this sketch, while you're there you can add your very own creation to the Inlinkz too!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Here is my card for this weeks sketch:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I've decided to give my new Festival of Trees a run for its money this week. And today I decided to break away from the tradition Red and Green colours of Christmas and go for some GORGEOUS Pink (Pirouette) and Lost Lagoon, with some Crumb Cake thrown in!

I've added some Burlap Ribbon and some Pink Pirouette seam binding, oh and a little dash of Linen thread. The tree has been punched out with the coordinating Christmas Tree punch and I've punched 4 of those to make it a 3D tree. I also used the new On Point Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Sweet SUnday Sketch #146

Happy Sunday!!. It's time of course for another fabulous Sweet Sunday Sketch.

I can't guarantee that you'll be jumping in raptures over my sample today, but, for me it's a minor miracle that it's even made, let alone photographed and blogged. It's been a CRAZY week here... with Kindy Mum duties (which I LOVED by the way!!), swimming, dancing, more dancing, then some more dancing rehearsal, then a Dancing Concert, a Christmas Party thrown in there somewhere and then of course just normal everyday living and necessary things to do!!. CRAZY!!

Sooooo.... here is my sample (please be kind!!):-

And here is the fabulous sketch for you to play along with:-

I've gone and made another gift tag today. Yep, it's my go to thing now when my brain is overloaded. hahaha.

My colour combo is Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and some retired SU! DSP!.

I've used my Contempo Christmas Set and stamped the Christmas Ornament out three times in Cherry Cobbler then punched it out and gave it a serious dunking into the Dazzing Diamonds pot. The "falalala" is from my Season of Joy set. I'm actually thinking of using this on my Advent Calendar this year, which is currently 4 days late in its putting up, but hopefully will be up by the end of tomorrow... hahha.. oops!!!

The rest of the Sweet Sunday Stamper's have some AMAZING cards to show you too... sooooo... off you go.. go visit them and be INSPIRED:-

The colours are Cherry Cobbler, and well Cherry Cobbler  ;-), some Whisper White and a little bit of Blushing Bride for his face.

I've used a HUGE amount of punches here... let's see... Extra Large Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, XL Bird Punch, Ornament Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (Flower).

Sweet Sunday Sketch #143

Happy Sunday!!! I hope your weekend has been amazing! It's time of course for another Sweet Sunday Sketch.

I thought I may as week stick to my Christmas theme and create another Chrissy card... THREE down and TOO many to go.. hahaha.

Here's my card for this week:-

And here is the sketch:-

Now, I played and played and moved things, removed things, tilted my head ( you know the way, right?.. the tilt when you're trying to make it look differently to what it really does ;-) ), then, I removed things, re-sponged things, tilted again, squinted and pretty much threw my hands up in the air. I'm still not 100% sure that I'm 100%  happy with this one, but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. Sooo, in an attempt to save my neck from permanent injury (you know from all the tilting) I decided to settle and just let it be.

I've used my Delicate Doilies, Contempo Christmas and  Happiest Birthday Wishes (Hostess) Stamp sets. The colour combo is Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake,Vanilla, Old Olive and some Retired Christmas DSP,

I've decided to start my Christmas cards now, rather than wait until a few days before Christmas to even think about starting.. oops... SOOOO that means that many of my FAVE peeps might actually get a card in the mail this year!! WOO HOO!

Anyhoo... the card.. I've used the same colour combo as last week, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette and Cherry Cobbler, with a little dash of Early Espresso. The Stamp Set I used is my very trusty Contempo Christmas. The star of the show is possibly the tub of Dazzling Diamonds I used to plonk my Christmas Decorations in. My Little {Big} Flossie, Miss J, thought it was WONDERFUL!!! haha, and was quite the supervisor! ;-)

So.. here is my IDEA!!.. ooops nope.. Card.. nope not even ... Tag!!! haha :-

And here is the FUN sketch from Karen:-

I've used a little creative license today... using some Twine for my little thin panel.. you see the one on the sketch and rather than my "image" panel I've used a BIG Old Olive Striped Ribbon Bow!!. (that was a mouthful!!). I added a little Tiny Tag to that after spending TOO much time trying to get my Twine (because I couldn't find my Lovely THIN Linen Thread) through the teeny tiny hole!!.. never fear.. I DID it!!! hahah

Be sure to visit the fabulous Sweet Sunday Stampers for some AMAZING inspiration:-

I've used just a little bit of my FAVE Chrissy set at the moment, Contempo Christmas.. in the form of just the sentiment... I didn't want to send you all into complete shock by omitting it completely from my first project back.. haha. And.. I thought it might be nice to use my OH SO CUTE Owl Punch.. and deck him out in some Christmas attire!!.. What do you think??

This layout is FABULOUS.. quick, simple and GORGEOUS. I definately think I'll be using this one again, and again!!

Oki.. I'm running out of time..and given it's my first week back I'd best be getting this posted on time.. Right???

Christmas in {pink and chocolate}

Now... don't fall off your chair in shock!!!.. I know it's mid week and I... Yes I, the one and only SJ have a card to show you.... ooohh!!!.. haha

I was recently asked to make a Christmas card in Pink and Chocolate, two of my VERY favourite colours.. yes I know you're all shocked to hear that!! hahah

The problem with being asked to make a particular card is that I tend to OVER THINK the whole thing... you know, start something, put it down, start another, look at the first thing, put it back down, look at the second thing, put that back down, start another thing... blah, blah.. you get the idea, Right?! Does anyone else have this "over thinking" problem or am I all alone?

Anyhoo... I came up with this, although the photo isn't really doing this Shimmery little card the justice it deserves. I LOVE the new Shimmer Paints, NO REALLY!!! I LOVE the new Shimmer Paints. All that gorgeous shimmery goodness in one little pot.. BUT... it's SOOOO hard to photograph!!!

Right... I'll stop blabbering and show you the card:-

The colour combo is Pink Pirouette, with Early Espresso, which has been put through my Big Shot with the GORGEOUS Vintage Wallpaper Impression Folder... LOVE!!! The baubles are from... can you guess???? YEP.. Contempo Christmas and are stamped in Espresso and then covered with SHIMMER PAINT!!! LOVE, LOVE!! Oh and the ribbon comes in the form of some satiny Pretty in Pink goodness... YUMMMMMM!!!!

So, what do you think??? YES or NO?

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #91

Happy Sunday!!! It's time for another FABULOUS Sweet Sunday Sketch!!!

Today I've kept mine nice and CAS!!! Oh and a little Christmassy too!!! Gotta get that STASH all ready ... there isn't really that long to go!!! And when it comes to mass producing Christmas cards... i've found (the HARD way) that CAS is definately the way to go!!

Soooo.... here is my card:-

And here is the Sketch:-

I've used a little creative license this week... and flipped the oval but left the stripes going the same way as the sketch... oohhh.. RULE BREAKER.. right?... bwhahah

I am LOVING my Contemp Christmas set at the moment... oh wait.. you've probably guessed that considering my last .. um.. FOUR posts have all used it!!! .. I can't promise that there will be a break in that transmission any time soon... hahaha.

I've used Crumb Cake (Kraft), Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler (LOVING!!!) for this card. The tree was stamped in Old Olive and the base coloured using my Marker and stamped onto Vanilla cardstock and then a little Rhinestone was put up onto the star.... Chrissy trees need sparkle ... right? hahah. I then added a scalloped border around the image in Cherry Cobbler ( did I mention LOVE at the moment!!) To get the little scallop border I punched out two Scallop Ovals using my SU! Punch then Cut one of the in half length ways and attached to either side of the the tree image then cut the top and bottom of the other scallop and attached to the top and bottom of the image... have I confused you???? if you want more deets just let me know!!

The strips going across the card are made by attaching double sided tape and plonking the entire contents of my Dazzling Diamonds pot on to them then replonking the contents back into the pot before brushing away the left over sparkles... my desk and I are VERY sparkly at the moment!! hahaha

That's pretty much it!!! See CAS!!!

The scallop along the width of the card is Cherry Cobler and I've added some also retired Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, although if you had some white taffeta ribbon you could colour it to Cherry Cobbler.. CLEVER.. right?!!!

The tree is stamped in Kiwi Kiss and Choc Chip for the trunk and the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler!! Ooh and I've also added a little Rhinestone to the top of the tree for a little bling!!

My Chrissy Cards!!!!

Hello There!!!

I know, I know... It's only Monday and I've got a post ready for you. hahaha.

I've actually been meaning to post these cards for a while, but with going away, coming home, having a sick little poppet, organising a 3rd Birthday, finishing my Christmas shopping, ACTUALLY posting my Christmas cards... I kinda ran out of time... BUT I'm here to show them now. hahah

Here are some Chrissy cards I made this year. The first two are the ones that I MASS produced and sent out as my Chrissy Card for this year, the others are ones that I made when I was deciding which ones to send, and have actually already found themselves a new home... is it just me, or do you always need MORE cards than you first anticipated. hahaha.

So which one is your FAVE?

All that's left to do now is wrap up all the pressies... I can't actually wait for Christmas Day... sitting, eating and spending it with my GORGEOUS family.

Merry Merry Christmas to you all.

sweet sunday sketch #46

Happy, Happy Sunday!!! Gotta LOVE Sunday's and you've just GOTTA love Karen's gorgeous Sweet Sunday Sketch!!! This week Karen has set us a really FUN one, so be sure to have a play.

Here is my card for this weeks sketch:-

And here is the gorgeous Sketch:-

I REALLY enjoyed working with this one. I thought I'd go with another Chrissy card. I've been BUSY, BUSY, BUSY this past week making all of my Chrissy cards, which I'll post soon, and thought an extra couple of cards wont go a stray that's for sure.

I started out with some Choc Chip and created my own background by using the small Poinsettia stamp from my Season of Joy set. I then added a layer of Real Red and some Ski Slope DSP. Be quick though if you want some of this DELICIOUS DSP because as of Tuesday, you won't be able to get it anymore, so let me know if you need some to finish of those last minute Chrissy cards. I then used my Circle Scissors... LOVING this little toy!!!... and my new 1¾" Circle punch and on the white circle stamped JOY from the large stamp in Season of Joy in Choc Chip then restamped the snowflake in Baja Breeze added a "Glue Dot laiden, Dazzling Diamond plonked" brad to the centre and popped it up on a dimensional. (GOSH... how was that for a mouthful!!!) I also stamped one of the small Poinsettia's from the same large stamp and "dunked" that into some "sparkly fun" and added it just above the 'J'. I also added a touch of sponging around the edges of the circles just to soften them a little and to finish it off some Old Olive Ribbon.

Be sure to pop on over and visit the other Sweet Sunday Stamper's for some gorgeous card samples too:-

And don't forget to link your card to Mr Linky over at Karen's blog so we can all see what you've created.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
