Here is my card for this week's sketch:-

Here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

My card today is for a little girl in my daughter's class, who has just become a big sister! I'm guessing you can tell by all the PINK in this one, that it was a beautiful baby girl!.

I've used Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride and Rose Red as my colour choice today and also added some Typeset Specialty DSP and the GORGEOUS little deer is from the equally gorgeous Home for Christmas DSP, which is available in the current Occasions Catalogue, which doesn't just have to be limited to Christmas, as you can see in this card! :D

I added some Doily, some gorgeous Vintage Lace, Linen Thread and some Blushing Bride Sequin trim to finish it off.

Please stop by the Sweet Sunday Sketch blog and find out all the details for this sketch, while you're there you can add your very own creation to the Inlinkz too!

Happy Sunday!!! It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch. This one is FUN! So I hope you can join us in the challenge.

I must apologise for being AWOL the past few weeks. I've been REALLY, REALLY AWOL!!!.. Goodness. My little girls have both started school, one in Yr 1 and my baby in Kindy! We've been busy adjusting to the CRAZY school, afterschool activity schedule, which is really CRAZY. On top of that I've been struck by a HORRIBLE head cold, which has really hit me for a six, it's still lingering, so fingers crossed it's gone by the week.

Anyhoo... I did, FINALLY, get a chance to sit at my desk and stamp. It's a new concept this past few weeks, I haven't sat at my desk, computer or heaven forbid, pulled out a stamp for about 2 weeks!!!

Our very own VICKI, came up with today's sketch, and I have to say, I LOVED it!!!!

Here is my card for today:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I'm so lucky to have been offered the opportunity to have some of my cards go for sale in a local Card and Invitation store. This month we've been asked to create LOTS of baby cards, soooo, I thought I'd start with one for today's sketch too.

I've used my Sale-a-bration set Patterned Occasions, isn't that Elephant adorable!!?? The sentiment is from my Teeny Tiny Verses and is stamped in Midnight Muse. The other bits and pieces are Midnight Muse DSP, Baja Breeze DSP and some Midnight Muse Satin stitched ribbon.

Happy Friday!!! It's time for another Inkspiration Challenge.. and after a week off I HOPE you'll all play along.

Today Keesh has given us a sketch to work with. I had fun putting this little card together.

    Here's my card:-

    And here's the sketch:-

I've started out with with a base of Pink Pirouette and then added some Choc Chip DSP from my Sweet Pea DSP pack. The next layers are Kraft and Pretty in Pink DSP (again from Sweet Pea) then some Pink Pirouette Extra wide Ribbon and a touch of Kraft taffeta ribbon. The image is from one of my absolute FAVES and soon to be retiring..(VERY, VERY sad about that!!) Nursery Necessities (actually this little set is already running low, Soooo if you don't have it and you think that you MUST.. because really YOU MUST!!.. then email me and order it ASAP!!!.. I'd hate for you to miss out :D ) I've stamped the sweet little Elephant in Whisper White Craft ink onto Kraft then sponged around the edges. I also added a little bit of Pink Pirouette ink sponged over the top and then plonked her little ear right into a tub of Dazzling Diamonds. I finished it off with some little PRetty in Pink buttons.

    Inkspiration Challenge #31 {sketch}

Happy Friday!!! Hope your week has been FABULOUS. Unfortunately my little ones are STILL not 100%, but I'm hoping by the end of the weekend, we'll ALL be back to normal.. cheekiness included!!! hahaha

Today the Inkspiration DT has a Sketch for you to play along with, it's a fun one too, so I hope you can find some time to have a little play.

Here is my card for this week:-

And here is the Sketch for you to have a little looksie at:-

I've made ANOTHER baby card this week. Some gorgeous friends of ours ( this is another set of friends.. hahaha) had a GORGEOUS little girl on Sunday. Unfortunately because we've all been sick, we haven't had a chance to visit her yet.. and I MUST be completely better.. after all I am the QUEEN of CLUCK at the moment, and to visit and NOT cuddle, well!!!.. that would just be wrong!!.

I've used some Certainly Celery as the base and then layered some Certainly Celery DSP (retired) to that. My pink layers have been created by using my FAVOURITE technique at the moment Faux Suede.. and YES there is a TUTORIAL (SJK Style) on it's way.. I just have to figure out how to get it from camera to blog... any help.. would be appreciated!!! ahahaha
For the middle layer I've also added some Pink Satin ribbon.. DELICOUS and a little lace border using my Apron Lace punch. The little square has some more Faux Suede in Kraft and I've added some Paper Piercing around the edges and a little pink flower from my Felt Fusion Too tin and a little Pink Rhinestone. The sentiment is from Nursery Necessities.

    Baby News!!!!

No!!! Not mine... well not yet anyway!! oohhhh!!! hahaha
Some gorgeous friends of ours had a wee little GORGEOUS, ADORABLE, Sweet little daughter on Saturday, so I thought it only fitting that I make a little card and of course accompanying gifty to go with it.

To add to that.. I've FINALLY managed to sit down and make an entry for the FABULOUS Just Add Ink challenge this week. The JAI gals do an AMAZING job each week, and I'm so sad that I don't get to play along more often... you know what.. I must make time!!! Yes ... that's what I'll do.

Anyhoo.. here is the little array of goodies I created this afternoon. First up is the little card:-

And here is the little gift box I made for the SWEET little outfit I got for her:-

The layout from the card is from the SSSC#74. I thought it was PERFECT for the JAI challenge this week.. allowing me to use LOTS of DSP. With the little elephant on the front.. such a cutie... I've inked her up in Whisper White Craft ink, and then once dried, which takes a WHILE, I sponged over the top of it with some Pink Pirouette Ink.. just to soften it up a little. Oooh AND, I found a new trick for doing such inking.. especially when inking over Whisper White.. which as previously touched upon takes AGES to dry. Right.. my little trick... well rather than inking up my sponge from the ink pad itself.. I squished the ink into the lid and picked it up from there.. yes I know.. you're probably all going... DUH!!! at the moment.. but for me it was one of those HEAD SLAPPING.. why on earth didn't I think of that before.. I could've avoided WHITE ink on my ink pads... MOMENTS!!!! hahaha
The paper is from my Sweet Pea pack and the base of the card is Kraft. I've also used some Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon.. oohhhhh, and the little ear.. has had it's fair share of PLONKING into the Dazzling Diamond pot.

The little box I made using some Kraft for the base and then some Rose Red for the top. I made a little band.. which after completing said box, probably should've been made to go around the entire box!!!. Anyone else make a box and then wish they'd made it a smidge bigger?.. yep!!!
The band though has been made with some Kraft cardstock, and some Pretty in Pink DSP from the Sweet Pea pack and finished off with some more Pink Satin ribbon.. ooohhhh. I also made a little tag the same as the front of the card.

I've JUST come home from having little snuggles with the beautiful Alyssa.. and may I had.. that I WAS clucky BEFORE I went.. but now!!!! WOW!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

My Beautiful Ella - Day ONE!!!

Hi there!!! As promised in this post, during the week I'll be popping up the scrap pages I've made of my Beautiful Ella, who celebrated her FIRST birthday on Saturday. I made these pages for her scrap book, but also to have on display during her party, so that everyone could see just how much she's grown. Well OK, I think everyone already knew that, but it was fun making them, and made Mummy here a bit teary while searching the hundreds of pic we have of her to make each page.

So, today I've got her arrival and One Month pages.

Ella is literally minutes old in this photo.... she came so quickly that it was taken on Shane's mobile phone, because YES we didn't have time to get the camera out of the car... it was get ME out or have baby in the car... hahaha.

And here she is at One Month old.... smiley, happy and just adorable.

Hope you like these, be sure to pop back tomorrow for a couple more.

All supplies on these pages are from my SU! Simply Scrappin' Kit - Rock-a-Bye Girl. oooohhh I do LOVE this kit.

    Thanks for stopping by.

An Inkspiration Sketch & A Shell Colour Challenge!!!

I've managed to combine a few needs with this card, first up it's the sketch challenge from the Lovely Keesh, secondly it's a colour combo for my lovely Blogging Buddy Shell and thirdly it's a card for my soon to be 'nephew'.... oooh how exciting!!!!

So, first up here is the sketch that Keesh has set for her Inkspiration Challenge this week:-

And let me tell you... the urge to pick up my Trendy Trees set was HUGE!!!!, but I was strong, strong STRONG and picked up my Nursery Necessities instead!!!!

The colour combo for the lovely Shell is Baja Breeze, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Whisper White and a bit of Baja Breeze DSP too!!!

    And now, here's the card:-

I started out with a base of Baja Breeze, then added a layer of So Saffron and some Baja Breeze DSP to that then I've got the middle section with some more So Saffron and some Certainly Celery, with a bit of Baja Breeze Ribbon. The moon is stamped in So Saffron, the star in Certainly Celery and I've put some extra Baja Breeze DSP behind them both. My scallop.... well my scallop around the moon was created by cutting a few Scallop Circles then cutting them so that I could create a Scallop large enough to fit around the circle. That's all popped up on some dimensionals and then I added the sentiment in Certainly Celery with a little So Saffron layer to make it pop out a bit.

Hope you like. And Shell, hope I haven't scared you with the colour combo!!! hahaha

    Thanks for stopping by.

You would've thought I'd learnt my 'cutting out' lesson after my recent post for my sister's Baby Shower invites (check it out here and here), but NO I didn't and I've just spent the last hour or so cutting out little butterflies for Ella's invitations... call me CRAZY!!!

    Hi There!!!

I'm back!!!! Still not 100%, but functioning well enough to have a play with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch... Have I mentioned how much I LOVE her sketches.... I'm sure I have, but just in case... I ADORE them! hahaha.

Here is the gorgeous sketch we had to play along with this week:-

    And here is my card.

Last week I made this card for the Challenge ( A Baby Boy card) and just in case my beautiful friend's sister has a little pink person, I've used this weeks Sketch Challenge to make 'A Baby Girl Card'.

I've used Very Vanilla as the base and some Au Chocolat DSP (very very retired), but I LOvE the colour!! I've also used some Pretty in Pink... well what else for a little girl and my Nursery Necessities set for the little elephant. Oh the flowers are from my Forever in my Heart set (which by the way RETIRES tomorrow!!!!) I've stamped the elephant in Pretty in Pink and then restamped and cut out the ear which I coloured in using my Regal Rose marker and then covered with a bit of Dazzling Diamonds and popped it up on a dimensional. The flowers are stamped in Pretty in Pink and have buttons from my Earth Elements button collection, they've all been popped up too.

I used some Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink ribbons and that's pretty much it.

I hope you like, and thanks for stopping by.

    Sweet Sunday Sketch #10 - It's a Boy!!!

    Hi There!!

I wasn't sure that I was going to make it in time for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.... but I HAVE managed to sit myself down and get my card done, just in the nick of time!!! Phew.

Here is the sketch the lovely Karen gave us this week:-

And here is the card I came up with... oh and you won't believe it... there is NO Pink on it...nope not one trace!!! But then again, you're probably not shocked given the title of my post.. hahaha.

My beautiful friend Bec's sister is having a little baby in a couple of weeks... and nope I'm not even sure she is having a boy, I was actually hoping to get two cards made for this challenge one Blue and one Pink... but I just ran out of time... I will though make it and post it up here for you to see, so be sure to pop back and check it out. If though she does indeed have a boy... well this will be the sweet card she will get.

Thanks for stopping by and if you haven't had a go at Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch yet, then pop on over... you won't be able to help yourself.

    A Baby Shower!!!

Hello.... I'm Back!!!! as as promised I have a picture of the 'FINISHED' Baby Shower invite I was talking about in this post, earlier today.

Hope you like them.... but most importantly i REALLY hope that Kate Jemma LOVES them!!!

The Base of the invite is Certainly Celery, with a layer of Kraft Cardstock. I recently had a Birthday Book Class and had a HUGE amount of Kraft pieces left over, so I really wanted to use them, and I think they were PERFECT for these invites. I used my White Gel pen to create some faux stitching around the edge.

Now for the little animals (all from Wild About You!), I stamped the lion in So Safron, then restamped his head in Pumpkin Pie and cut out the mane, then restamped his head again in So Saffron and cut out the head part and then used my Choc Chip marker to colour in his face features. All the layers are popped up on dimensionals. The Elephant is stamped in Soft Sky and I also restamped his ear and attached that with a dimensional and the Giraffe is stamped in So Saffron and again I used my Choc Chip Marker to colour in his face and tail.

Although there was an AWFUL amount of cutting out involved in these little darlings... I REALLY did enjoy creating them.

    Thanks for stopping by.

Want to see what I've been doing????

Just thought I'd pop in and show you oh so quickly what I've been up to recently.

I'm organising a Baby Shower for my darling sister and opted (of course) to make her Baby Shower invites as well as all the prizes and any other bits and bobs needed for the special day. Sooo....I had this idea in my head for some cute little invites, thinking that I wanted to keep it nice and simple... well hold on to your hats because I'm about to show you my idea of 'SIMPLE'..... (not!!!).

Quite the simple little exercise when you are creating just one invitation, not the 26 or so that I have had to do. Here is the pic of all the little animals from my FAVE 'Wild About You' set... they are absolutely adoarable aren't they... so now can you see how I just couldn't resist... hahaha

And here is a little close up of the little lion... YES that is THREE different layers on his head... CRAZY I know!!!!

Now that I've stamped them and cut them all out, It's time to assemble the invitations... so be sure to pop back soon, to see the finished product.. I SOOOOOO hope they turn out how i've imagined them and I hope that KJ loves them too.

    Thanks for stopping by.

    Gentle Moment... Another Scrap Page!!!

I told you I was on a role.... Look at me go!!! hahaha.

I've finished another Scrap Page to add to my calendar and hopefully a layout that my lovely girlfriends will want to use and adapt for their own calendars too.

Here is a looksie at the sketch I used:-

The layout is from here and I saw a similar page at Karen's site... which I fell in love with the moment I looked at it... it is such a 'simple' and beautiful page, and I have to admit when it comes to scrapbooking I much prefer simple.

So here is my 'Gentle' page...

Again I've used my Crew Kids - for Girls kit...absolutely loving this... think I might have to get another before they disappear... which I'm sure they will given that they have the current 'In Colour' colour Wild Wasabi included. I've also used a stamp from the current 'Sale-a-bration' set Yummy (you may not be able to see it too well in the picture but it is the Flourish on the corners. I've stamped them in Rose Red then used my White Gel pen to add a bit of dimension by dotting it. The letters are from a set of Alphabet Stickers I had (unfortunately NOT SU!!!) but I didn't have an alphabet set that was small enough for the title.

    HOpe you like it.

    Welcome Baby Olivia!!!!

My lovely friend Melissa and her hubby Simon just welcomed their precious little girl into the world... Baby Olivia!!!! I'm off to visit her soon so I thought I'd share with you the card I made for her. I've used the sketch layout and the 'little Bird' idea from Karen Giron and her Sweet Sunday Sketch (from last week) ... and here's my card:-

I've used Pretty in Pink as the base of the card and then layered it with a piece of Very Vanilla, and some Pink DSP from the Spring Fling DSP Packet ( so pretty!!!). Then I've used Certainly Celery and used my Scallop Edge Punch on some Pretty in Pink cardstock, again layering with some Very Vanilla and a piece of Certainly Celery Prints Designer DSP. The stamp set I used is Nursery Necessities for both the little bird and the sentiment. Then finished it all off with a piece of Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon.

I hope you like it.... and I can't wait to go and have some lovely New Born cuddles (well ok New New Born cuddles... I still get the most beautiful cuddles from my Beautiful Ella!!!).

    I'll be back soon.

    Ooh....Hello - A Calendar Page!!!

    Hello There!!!

I've got some of my BEAUTIFUL Girlfriends coming over tomorrow to participate in a 'Calendar Class' using the Days to Remember 12x12 Calendars. I've got a couple of layouts made up for them to see and use as a start to their very own calendars (of course they are free to change and adapt them to suit themselves... hahaha) anyway I finished this one last night and thought I would show you... I must however apologise about the photo... 12x12 pages are REALLY hard to photograph... well for me anyway!!!!

I first saw this layout on Karen Giron's Blog and LOVED the page she created, so thought I'd give it a go. The layout is actually from here but seen as I have been feeling 'Scrapbook Layout Challenged' at the moment it was AWESOME to be able to see the sketch actually made into a page.

I've used my brand new packet of 'Crew Kids - Girl' to make this page. I love this pack mainly because it contains Pink and Green and considering my girls are often in these two colours there is absolutely no shortage of beautiful pics to scrap.

I cut out some Green (Wild Wasabi) Flowers and some Grey ones too as I need quite a few for this page and the ones included in the kit were a bit large and I didn't want to take the focus away from my 'Beautiful Photos'.

I hope you like my page and I hope the girls like it tomorrow night.

I'll be back soon with some more goodies to show you.

    Sarah

    Baby Shower Card!!!

Ok...I think this will be the last one for the night.... Three Posts in one night.... OUSTANDING but my lord my fingers are SORE!!!!!

Just wanted to share with you the card I whipped up tonight for a Baby Shower I'm going to tomorrow.

Such a busy weekend... most enjoyable for sure, but extremely busy... I'll share with you all the goss about the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar I went to today....but I'll do that post tomorrow or Monday.

Now back to the Baby Shower!!!!
Yep you guessed it the Baby Shower is for a GIRL baby!!!! I've used the Elephant and Bird from the Wild About You Set (my FAVE!!!). First up, I've stamped some Very Vanilla Card Stock using one of the Stamps from Boho Backgrounds and my VersaMark Ink Pad, to give it a Watermark effect, although you probably can't see it too clearly from my photo. (I must invest in some embossing equipment!!!!). Then I've stamped the Elephant in Pretty in Pink and added some extra dimension by stamping HER ear in Regal Rose, dipping it in some Dazzling Diamonds and popping it up on a Dimensional. The Bird I stamped in Regal Rose, and she got dipped too!!!!
Layered onto some Regal Rose Card and a splash of the GORGEOUS Regal Rose Wide Grosgrain, and there you have it .... my Baby Shower Card.

Ok.... that's me out for the night... of to rest this body and BUMP!!!!
