Sweet Sunday Sketch #121

Happy Sunday!!! I hope you've been having a fabulous weekend. It's time of course for another Sweet Sunday Sketch, so I hope you'll play along!!.

Here is my card for today's sketch:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I've made a Wedding Card today!! And kept the colour scheme... Vanilla and Black!!.

The back panel is made up of ALL of my border punches, all put together to create a 'Vintagy Lace' look. Oh and they've all been Sueded!!.. I  know, I know.. I'm a glutton for punishment!!.. ahahah.

I've used my Fifth Avenue Floral set for the Rose in the Circle... a stamp set which has be sadly neglected over the past 12 months!! I've also used some Champagne Shimmer Mist to go over the rose... however the photo doesn't show it's Shimmery goodness.. sooo.. you'll have to pretend you can she it in all it's Shimmery Glory and give it the appropriate .. oohhh.. and ahhh!! hahaha.

The sentiment is from Well Scripted and it's all finished off with lashing of Vanilla Satin Ribbon and Pearl Jewels!!.

The rest of the Sweet Sunday Stamper's have some AMAZING cards to show you too... sooooo... off you go.. go visit them and be INSPIRED:-

And don't forget to link your card to InLInkz over at Karen's blog so we can all see what you've created.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #73

Happy Sunday!!! I hope you've had a fabulous weekend. It's time for another wonderful sketch from Karen.. So I hope you'll be able to play along.

Here's my card for today:-

And here is Karen's gorgeous sketch:-

I've gone for a little bit of Water Colouring today.... and I had HEAPS of fun!!!!

I've started out with some Baja Breeze and added a splash of Basic Grey and Very Vanilla to the mix.
The Rose from Fifth Avenue Floral is stamped in Stazon then coloured with my Aqua Painter and Baja Breeze Ink. The base layer of Baja has had the Rose from Fifth Ave Floral stamped over it in Versamark as has the Very Vanilla strip, then I added a layer of Baja Breeze DSP and a little Ribbon and Bling to finish it off.

I'm actually really happy with how it turned out and actually have a little someone in mind for this one, so I hope they like it.

Be sure to pop on over and visit the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stamper's for some amazing inspiration:-

sweet sunday sketch #33

Happy Monday!!!!... well it's nearly Tuesday here.... and I've got my Sweet Sunday Sketch card up before the deadline.... I know... AMAZING!!! Perhaps it was the ironing pile that gave me the inspiration.... NOT!!!! hahaha

Anyway... Karen has set yet another gorgeous sketch for us to work with this week, and here is my card:-

Oh before I show you I must warn you... there is a considerable amount of PINK!!!! I haven't been using my beloved colour much lately... not sure why, so I figured it was time to bring it back!!!! LOL

Here is Karen's lovely sketch

I used Pink Pirouette as the base then added a layer of Regal Rose and some DSP from the Candy Lane pack... (LOVE THIS pack!!) I also added some Regal Rose ribbon (DELISH!!). Now for the circles.... you don't even want to know how long I sat at my desk picking up random circle shaped objects to try and find different sizes... I really must get a circle cutter!!!!. Anyway.. the larger circle is Pink Pirouette, and the smaller one Regal rose. I've stamped the Regal Rose circle with my Fifth Ave Floral rose in Regal Rose just to create a background. Then, I stamped my Rose stamp onto some Watercolour paper in VersaMark and embossed it with White embossing powder before I coloured it in Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose using my Aqua Painter.. I added a little Regal Rose bow with some bling attached and a couple of little pink gems to the top.

Hope you like, and don't forget to have a looksie over at Karen's and have a go at her SSSC... they're so much fun!!!

Thanks for stopping by.

sweet sunday {guest stamper}

WOW!!!! Finally I can share my "little secret".... well actually it's a BIG secret and I've been busting with excitement ever since Karen asked me if I'd like to be her 'Guest Stamper' over at her awesome Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!!!! I am so VERY honoured that she asked me to do this, afterall there are SOOOOOO many extremely talented stampers out there... I'm still a little speechless. So, once I'd picked myself up off the floor and recovered from a slight, well OK BIG panic attack, you know the kind, where I'm thinking OMGosh, what am I going to make, what if Karen doesn't like it, is it going to be WORTHY of being a 'Guest Stamper' creation, (insert slight hyperventilation here!!!).... then take a deep BREATHE.... Tell myself that I'm OK and lets get to stampin'.

If you've been visiting here for a wee while, you'll know how much I LOVE participating in Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenges... just LOVE them!!!! And if you haven't had a go, then you must pop on over to Karen's GORGEOUS blog and have a play... Trust Me.... they are heaps of fun.

So, do you want to see what I came up with and of course have a look at Karen's GORGEOUS sketch for this week???

Well OK... here it is.... my VERY FIRST Guest Stamper Card:-

And here is the fabulous sketch I had to play along with:-

I started out with a base of Pink Pirouette and then added some DSP from the Candy Lane pack to that I added a square of Riding Hood Red and some Very Vanilla which I stamped with my Fifth Avenue Floral set to create my own background in Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red. I then stamped the large Rose onto some Watercolour Paper using versamark and embossed it in White before colouring it with my Aqua Pens in Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red (to add some depth). I then cut it out and popped it up on some dimensionals.
I added a circle of Pink Pirouette and onto some Very Vanilla card stamped the sentiment in Riding Hood Red from the Hostess set 'Best Yet'. Then added some Rhinestone Brads and a bit of Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon.

Again... I am SO very honoured that Karen asked me to be her Guest Stamper this week, and I hope that I haven't scared her off in anyway!!! hahaha.
Don't forget to go on over to Karen's Blog and have a go at this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

ETA:- The link/post for this weeks SSSC seems to be hiding at Karen's Blog at the moment, so if you are interested in playing along, leave your link here and I will load them onto Karen's Blog when it's all fixed up.

ETAA:- Mr Linky and Karen's post are all working now... so if you want to play along pop on over to Karen's Blog and check out all the details.

Thanks for stopping by.

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #9

Well Hello There!!!!

I was so sad to not be able to play along with Keesh's challenge last week... My little darlings were both unwell, and then thought it would be nice to share it with Mummy, so, I've had my hands full and not with lovely stamps and ribbon. hahaha.

Anyway, I am feeling a tad better today, so thought I'd sit down and play EARLY this week, just incase the inevitable should happen... fingers crossed, it's GONE for good.

Keesh has set a Colour Challenge this week and the lovely colours are Ruby Red, Baja Breeze, Basic Grey and Whisper White.... mmmmmm LOVELY aren't they.

Here's the card I came up with:-

Now I received my GORGEOUS Fifth Avenue Floral set on Wednesday and have been itching to play with it.... but it's had to wait until TONIGHT!!!!!!! Wooo Hooo!!!!
I've used the same layout as this card I made a little while ago, and why the temptation to play along and use the same and equally as gorgeous Trendy Trees was great, I remained strong and played with my newbie.

I started with Baja Breeze as the base and layered it with some Ruby Red and onto that some Basic Grey DSP. The smaller layer is Ruby Red and I've stamped one of the smaller flowers from the set in Ruby Red onto that. I used the same flower stamped onto some water colour paper which I embossed with White Embossing powder before colouring with my Aqua Pens and some Baja Breeze Ink... I'm thinking now that I probably should've played a bit more and increased the depth of colour a wee bit... I'll remember that for next time (I'm a bit new to water colouring you see!!). I also stamped the sentiment from the same set in Baja Breeze and that has all been popped up onto some dimensionals. The Ribbon is Baja Breeze and I secured the bow ( which I must say, I'm very Very proud of!!! hahahaha) with a Rhinestone Brad.

Now, please let me elaborate on my BOW!!!! You know how you can spend close to an hour sometimes (well maybe not everyone, maybe just me!!) fluffing around trying to tie your bow so it looks all lovely.... anyone??? Well tonight it just sort of happended the very FIRST time I tried... it's like all the fluffing around has finally paid off... hahaha.. The test though, will I be able to do it again.. and will I remember how I did it... hmmmmm.. I shall let you know.. hahaha.
(sorry about the little digression!!!)

I hope you like my card and thanks for stopping by.
