Colour Challenge #32

Hello Everyone!!!

Amazingly I've managed to make a card for this weeks Colour Inspiration Challenge by the lovely Kristina. Here is the inspiration for this week:-

The colours this week are Riding Hood Red (we don't have this yet so I've used Real Red), Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Sahara Sand (or a metallic).

And here's my card:-

I've used my Season's of Joy set for this challenge.
The base of the card is Very Vanilla then I've added a strip of Real Red, layered with some Whisper White and Very Vanilla. The Stamp is stamped in Real Red onto Whisper White and I've added some 'Faux Metallic' parts to it also and a little bit of Dazzle with some Dazzling Diamonds.
It's a pretty simple card this week, but I'm oh so tired and about to go and feed Ella and ship myself off to bed.

Hope you like the card and I'll be back soon with some more creations.

Here's what I used:-

Stamps:- Seasons of Joy
Card:- Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Real Red
Ink:- Real Red
Accessories:- Silver Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Dimensionals, Dazzling Diamonds, 2 way Glue Pen.

Happy Birthday Scarlett!!

Thought I'd show you the card I made for my cousin Sammy's little girl Scarlett. Scarlett turned ONE on Thursday and is having a 'LadyBird Morning Tea Party' soooo, I thought I'd make her a LadyBird Card.

Happy Birthday Scarlett, hope you had a WONDERFUL day!!!!

So, for this card, I used my NEW toys... my Heat Tool to Clear Emboss the base card stock, firstly I'd stamped it with my Polka Dot Background stamp in Versamark. Then to make the Lady Bird I pulled out my Pick a Petal Stamp Set and stamped the image on Whisper White Card in Real Red then used one of the outline stamps in Basic Black I've also 'Crop-a-diled' the white spots to raise them up. I used my circle punches to create the body. The flower is from the Diecuts from the Spring Mini with a little brad in the centre and the Real Red Layer that the LadyBird is sitting on I've also dry embossed with my 'Crop-a-dile' finally I added a scallop edge in some DSP and a touch of Certainly Celery Wide Grosgrain Ribbon.
Oh and the sentiment at the bottom is from the Short and Sweet stamp set.

I hope Scarlett likes it!!!

Here's what I used:-

Stamps:- Pick a Petal, Short and Sweet
Card:- Real Red, Whisper White, Summer Picnic DSP
Ink:- Real Red, Whisper White, VersaMark
Accessories:- Certainly Celery Wide Grosgrain, 1 1/4 inch Circle Punch, 1 inch Circle punch, Crop-a-dile, Corner Rounder, Die cut Flowers (Spring Mini), Dimensionals, Clear Embossing Powder.

Colour Challenge #30

Hello Again Everyone!!!

I have yet again managed to sit myself down to play along with Kristina's Colour Challenge.
Here is our inspiration piece for this week, and I have to say I LOVE the colour combo this week!!!
The colours this week are Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Sahara Sand and Whisper White.
And here is my Card:-

I got a NEW toy this week from Stampin' Up!... well a couple actually, some embossing powder and a Heat Tool and I've been itching to have a play with them.. so I did with this card.
I've used the Live your Dreams stamp set (available in the new Summer Mini) and stamped the large flower image with my VersaMark Ink onto some Old Olive Card stock then I've used my NEW white embossing powder and then smudged around the image with some Old Olive Ink, to make it stand out a little more, the butterfly is stamped in VersaMark and Dazzled with Diamonds!!!!! Then i've layerd the card Sahara Sand being the base, some DSP (Falls Flowers) and then the flower is layered onto some more Sahara Sand. The scallop is in Sahara Sand with an Old Olive and Whisper White Circle and the image on the circle was stamped in Old Olive for the Butterfly and Sahara Sand for the 'Thanks'. I added a splash of Certainly Celery Ribbon too.

I did have fun with my new toys!!!!!
Hope you like.

Card:- Sahara Sand Textured Cardstock, Falls Flowers DSP, Old Olive, Whisper White

Colour Challenge #29

WOW!!! are you amazed... I sure am!!!! Two weeks in a row and I've managed to sit myself down and make a card for the wonderful Kristina's Colour Challenge.
I of course had the 'Beautiful Ella' assisting me, she sat ever so patiently watching me while I made this card... well ok, she actually slept for most of it, but she did approve of the final result!!! hahaha.

Sooo... here is this weeks inspiration and colours:-

The colours were Pacific Point (we don't have this colour here yet, so I used Ballet Blue instead), Taken with Teal, Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White.
VERY BOLD colours and I must admit I was a little bit... well ok a BIG BIT scared of this one, but I was DETERMINED to get a card made. And here is what I came up with:-

Sooo, I've used Pumpkin Pie as my card base and then layered some Taken with Teal (well a colour similar to it!!!) and used my 'A Little Bit of Happiness (Level 1 Hostess ) stamp set.
I've coloured the image with Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant and Ballet Blue Pastels using my Blender pens. Then I added a tad of Pumpkin Pie Striped ribbon and popped both layers up on dimensionals, then I used my paper piercer to add a bit of dimension and a border around the image.
The words 'forever friends' is from the Level 1 Hostess Set 'So Many Sayings' and is stamped in Pumpkin Pie, then I added a little butterfly from the 'A Little Bit of Happiness' set too.

So there you have it.... 2 challenges in two weeks... something to celebrate...well for me at the moment anyway... hahaha.

Here's what I used:-

Stamps:- A Little Bit of Happiness (Level 1 Hostess), So Many Sayings (Level 1 Hostess)
Card:- Pumpkin Pie, Taken with Teal, Water Colour Paper
Ink:- Black, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories:- Blender Pens, Pastels, Pumpkin Pie Striped Ribbon, Dimensionals, Paper Piercer and Mat.
