Sweet Sunday Sketch #300 - Farewell!!!

Happy Sunday! It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! All the details are over on the Sweet Sunday Sketch blog. I do hope you'll join us!

I've been sitting in front of my computer for hours trying to figure out what to write for this post... I've been a member of the Sweet Sunday Stampers since the 20th September, 2009!! My goodness.... 6yrs!!!! This could get a little soppy, so please, bear with me!

I have truly LOVED every moment and each and every week of hanging out with the GORGEOUS and AMAZING bunch of ladies that have made up the Sweet Sunday Stamper team of the years...and to this day have always pinched myself and wondered why and how I was so lucky to stamp alongside such DIVINE and TALENTED ladies.,... I mean seriously, have you seen their cards!!! After nearly 7 years, our gorgeous leader, Karen, whom I am honoured and delighted to call one of my dearest friends has decided that the Sweet Sunday Sketch has come to an end.... SNIFF!!!! As I'm sure you're all aware, sometimes LIFE just takes over... and I can also say, that over the past year or so.. LIFE has definitely gotten in the way of my stampin' time!

My style has changed oh so much since my first Sweet Sunday Sketch entry... HERE!! and my first Sweet Sunday Stamper entry HERE!!! Goodness.. HUGE changes! The ladies, the camaraderie and let's not forget a team of stampin' ladies where THREE of us have the SAME birthday.. YUP the exact same day!!!! Seriously.. where does that happen!!! have been absolutely AMAZING... Even the constant debates on whether WONKY panels on cards were actually allowable on any of the sketches!!... (VICKI!!!) hahaha... actually... I think, Vicki may have even turned my opinion of them... a little!
I feel like I've known these gorgeous gals for ever, even though I've only ever been lucky enough to meet one of them in real life... a moment I still hold dear to my heart! I hope that one day in the future, I'll get to meet the rest of them.... it's such a shame AUstralia is SOOOOO far away!!!

We've had a ball an I'm sure each and everyone of us has gone all out on today's sketch!... Soooo... here is mine...

And the FINAL sketch for you to play along with:-

I do hope you'll all jump on board and play along on this very last Sweet Sunday Sketch!!! I'm quietly hoping, we might be able to have a little Sweet Sunday Sketch Reunion down the track!!! That would be fun!!

Thanks for stopping by.

I was going to be brave with this card and use one of the new BRIGHT In Colors... but... I chickened out, so you'll have to pop back a little later to see that attempt!

This card I decided to stay SAFE and use Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride and some Vintage Lace and Burlap... can't go wrong with that combo!

I used my Butterfly Basics stamp set and the co-ordinating framelits. It's all finished off with some linen thread and a couple of Pearls!.

Today I've used Crumb Cake as my base with some Burlap Ribbon, Vintage lace and some linen thread. The stamp set is a NEW Hostess set called A Whole Lot of Lovely and isn't it just that, LOVELY!!!???? I've used my NEW In-colour markers to colour the stamp. The colours I've used are Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron and Delightful Dijon.

The banner is a strip of Typeset Specialty DSP and I've added some Gold Sequins, because.. well... just because!.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #269 - BOLD and BRIGHT!

Happy Sunday! It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! All the details are over on the Sweet Sunday Sketch blog. Join us, and perhaps you could be our SPOTLIGHT designer for the week!!!

I have gone way out of my comfort zone on this one....BOLD, BRIGHT, BOLD... did I mention BOLD!!! Goodness... I might actually need a little lie down after this!

A few weeks ago, I hopped on a jet plane and flew to the other side of this BIG country of ours (Australia) to the Gold Coast, for the Stampin' Up! Inspire Create Share Convention! This DSP was one of the goodies we received as an 'all attendee giveaway'. It's a NEW DSP, which will be available soon when the NEW Catalogue goes live.. Did I mention that happens on the 2nd June!!!!. It's called Bohemian and it uses EVERY colour I would normally steer clear of!!! BUT.. I was up for a challenge and this is what I came up with!

Here is my card for this week:-

Here is the sketch for this week:-

The colours I've used are Rich Razzleberry and Island Indigo card stock, of course, the NEW Bohemian DSP and some Burlap Ribbon and twine. The other colours in the DSP pack are Delightful Dijon ( NEW), Bermuda Bay and Blackberry Bliss!
The stamp set is also NEW and available soon, it's called 'I think your're great'.

Here is my card for this week's sketch:-

I've used my favourite and go to colour combo.. partly because it's my FAVE and partly because I'm making this card just before I jump on a plane!!.. I was doing SO well, being organised a few weeks in advance... Anyhoo... it's done, it's posted and I can breathe!!

So, Soft Suede, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pink Pirouette are the colours of choice, some GORGEOUS Burlap and Lace and a little bit of Typeset DSP!

The stamp set is Kinda Eclectic, a FAVOURITE!!!

Sweet Sunday Sketch #266

Hello There!!! It's Sweet Sunday Sketch time, once again!!

Today's card was made for my little girl's sweet little friend, who just celebrated her sixth birthday. The brief from my little six year old was "something FROZEN colours!"

Sooo... this is "something FROZEN colours" and it seemed to get the A OK! Phew.. The pressure!!

Here is my sample for this weeks sketch:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I used Smokey Slate, Pool Party and some Silver Glimmer Paper on this one. The stamp set is Starburst Sayings (which is UNFORTUNATELY retiring soon!!) and the 'Happy Birthday' is from Sketched Birthday.

The wine is divine, the food is divine, the drive is divine... you get the picture.

This is the card I made for the new MR and MRS! GOLD, GOLD and more GOLD!. I used Gold Glimmer Paper, Very Vanilla Card stock and some Gold Soiree Specialty DSP. I've also added some Very Vanilla Seam Binding and a little bit of Linen Thread.

Today's card was pretty quick and simple and I literally used things I had sitting on my desk. I've used Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette and some Pool Party as my colour combo and used the gorgeous Flower Patch stamp set... LOVE that set. I've added some Burlap and Venetian lace as well as a Doily and some sparkles in the form of Rhinestones... Pretty much ALL my faves.

Happy Sunday! It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch!!! I hope you'll have a chance to join us. For all the deets on what to do, just head on over to Karen's blog!

Today we were so very blessed to attend the Christening of a gorgeous and ever so precious little girl and even MORE blessed and honoured to be asked to be her God Parents. My card for today's sketch is the card I created for her, although, it didn't seem to photograph as nicely as I'd hoped...it's one of those cards that looks SOOOO much better in real life, but, here it is anyway:-

Here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I've used Strawberry Slush, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White, with a smidge of Crumb Cake to vintage it up a little bit.
I pulled out a gorgeous stamp set that I have been seriously neglecting, Daydream Medallions, to created to focal point and added an extra little flower, just to make it a extra special. I created the flower using my scallop punch, some Pink Pirouette card stock and a Rhinestone brad. I used my Delicate Designs embossing folder for the side panel and spritzed the whole thing with some Vanilla Smooch, although the photo makes it look like I attacked it with a wet cloth... I assure you, I didn't!

Be sure to pop on over and visit the rest of the amazing Sweet Sunday Stampers' for some inspiration:-
And don't forget to link your card to InLInkz over at Karen's blog so we can all see what you've created.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Here is my card for this weeks sketch:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

This weeks card is a tad skinnier than a the usual card size you'd make. The measurements I used are 3.5" x 5.5". I used the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack for the colour combo. The base of the card is Naturals Ivory and I've used Soft Suede rather than Crumb Cake, partially for a little contrast and partially because it was sitting on my desk ;-).  I used the gorgeous Hardwood Background stamp stamped in Soft Suede Ink and the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder and Large Scallop Edgelit for the Costal Cabana piece across the middle of the card. I'm loving the Scallop Flower Die at the moment, and couldn't resist adding a Real Red Rose the the card, with a little Linen Thread behind it. The sentiment is from the Oh, Hello Stamp Set and I've stamped that in Soft Suede.
