Sweet Sunday Sketch #265

Happy Sunday!!

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch. There's all kinds of BLING of this one, so it comes with a little BRIGHT and SPARKLY warning!!!

Here it is:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

We were so very honoured to be invited to a beautiful wedding of some gorgeous friends. The wedding was in the glorious Margaret River Region, which is truly stunning and a gorgeous secret (or not so secret ;-) ) of WA!!! The wine is divine, the food is divine, the drive is divine... you get the picture.

This is the card I made for the new MR and MRS! GOLD, GOLD and more GOLD!. I used Gold Glimmer Paper, Very Vanilla Card stock and some Gold Soiree Specialty DSP. I've also added some Very Vanilla Seam Binding and a little bit of Linen Thread.

Please stop by the Sweet Sunday Sketch blog and find out all the details for this sketch, while you're there you can add your very own creation to the Inlinkz too!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

happiness always {a wedding card}

Hello!!!! I hope this finds you all FABULOUSLY well!!!
I've been, actually WE'VE been struck down by a NASTY, NASTY Gastro Virus here, which seems to have hit each subsequent victim worse than the one before.... ME.. well I copped it last, so I've been pretty much out for the count for a few days. Unfortunately I wasn't able to play along with the Inkspiration Team Gals this week... I tried.. but my head and my lil' bod.. just would play along.. haha, and I felt terrible that I didn't have something to show you this week... sooo.. I thought I'd show you Wedding Card I've had made and ready to blog for a little while for a friend of mine.

I've used Whisper White and then layered it with some Textured Whisper White cardstock then to that a layer of Pretty in Pink and another of Textured Whisper White, which I first cut an Apron Lace Border along the bottom of. I made a little flower using my Scallop Circle Punch, but before I cut each layer out I FAUX SUEDED it.. yep.. there it is again!!!.. And I PROMISE I 've got my Tutorial coming... with the Kale' abode being out for the count for this past month.. it's been a wee bit hard to get edited and up for you... SORRY!!!!... ooopps back on track.. right.. I faux sueded the flower.. then added some Certainly Celery ribbon leaves and secured it all together with a gorgeous Rhinestone brad. I added a little bit of White Ribbon (from my stash.. actually from my very own Wedding Stash... goodness it could almost be Vintage Ribbon.. bwhhahaa.. ok maybe not.. I've only been married for 8 years :D ) and the sentiment is from on of the now gone Sale-a-bration sets Whimsical Words.

I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Hope you like.. and PLEASE be sure to visit the Inkspiration Team this week and give them all some comment LOVE. I hope to be back fighting fit next week.. hopefully even for the Sweet Sunday Sketch on Sunday.. FIngers Crossed!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

A Wedding!

Hi There, hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. This one is going to be pretty quick unfortunately.... I'm currently fighting a NASTY Bug, which seems to have knocked me for a SIX, hopefully I'll make it to bed early and feel better in the morning.. technically I should get an extra hour sleep tonight, given Day Light Savings finishes at 2am here in WA... here's hoping my little darlings SLEEP for the extra hour!!!! Well one can hope can't they..hahaha.

Anyway lets get back on track... some of our dear friends (Craig and Kellee) are getting married tomorrow so I had to make a card for them on their very special day. Given I'm not feeling the best, I just wanted it to be quick and simple but classy and elegant. Well, here's what I came up with, and I think I managed to achieve my FOUR wants.

I dont often make ALL White cards, but I figured what could be more simple that white. I've used my Boho Background and Forever in My Heart stamp sets (Forever in my Heart is being retired in3 days!!!!). After sitting at my desk pondering or perhaps procrastinating for a bit I came up with the idea of Heat Embossing one of the background stamps (Boho Backgrounds) onto the card, so I inked up the Flower stamp with my VersaMark Pad and then used some White Embossing powder and my Heat Tool to get the effect on the bottom of the card. Then I used my Forever in my Heart set and stamped the 'love' heart stamp in versamark and the solid spotted heart in versamark and used some Silver Embossing Powder and my Heat Tool, then I popped them all up on some dimensionals. A touch of white ribbon and some silver cord and Voila.... there you have it my 'quick, simple, classy and elegant' Wedding Card.

Oh and if you'd LOVE to get your hands on the 'Forever in Your Heart' stamp set then email me before Tuesday, because on Tuesday this gorgeous set will be retired!!!

HOpe you like it.

Thanks for stopping by.
