Welcome Baby Olivia!!!!
My lovely friend Melissa and her hubby Simon just welcomed their precious little girl into the world... Baby Olivia!!!! I'm off to visit her soon so I thought I'd share with you the card I made for her. I've used the sketch layout and the 'little Bird' idea from Karen Giron and her Sweet Sunday Sketch (from last week) ... and here's my card:-
I've used Pretty in Pink as the base of the card and then layered it with a piece of Very Vanilla, and some Pink DSP from the Spring Fling DSP Packet ( so pretty!!!). Then I've used Certainly Celery and used my Scallop Edge Punch on some Pretty in Pink cardstock, again layering with some Very Vanilla and a piece of Certainly Celery Prints Designer DSP. The stamp set I used is Nursery Necessities for both the little bird and the sentiment. Then finished it all off with a piece of Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon.
I hope you like it.... and I can't wait to go and have some lovely New Born cuddles (well ok New New Born cuddles... I still get the most beautiful cuddles from my Beautiful Ella!!!).
I'll be back soon.

Ooh....Hello - A Calendar Page!!!
Hello There!!!
I've got some of my BEAUTIFUL Girlfriends coming over tomorrow to participate in a 'Calendar Class' using the Days to Remember 12x12 Calendars. I've got a couple of layouts made up for them to see and use as a start to their very own calendars (of course they are free to change and adapt them to suit themselves... hahaha) anyway I finished this one last night and thought I would show you... I must however apologise about the photo... 12x12 pages are REALLY hard to photograph... well for me anyway!!!!
I first saw this layout on Karen Giron's Blog and LOVED the page she created, so thought I'd give it a go. The layout is actually from here but seen as I have been feeling 'Scrapbook Layout Challenged' at the moment it was AWESOME to be able to see the sketch actually made into a page.
I've used my brand new packet of 'Crew Kids - Girl' to make this page. I love this pack mainly because it contains Pink and Green and considering my girls are often in these two colours there is absolutely no shortage of beautiful pics to scrap.
I cut out some Green (Wild Wasabi) Flowers and some Grey ones too as I need quite a few for this page and the ones included in the kit were a bit large and I didn't want to take the focus away from my 'Beautiful Photos'.
I hope you like my page and I hope the girls like it tomorrow night.
I'll be back soon with some more goodies to show you.

Wonderful Friend
Hi There!!!
It's Colour Challenge time again and this week Kristina most definately set a HARD one.... gosh, I most definately struggled with this one... but I wasn't going to give in... Here is the inspiration picture for this week:-
The colours we had to use were Ruby Red, Pretty in Pink, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White.
And here is the card I came up with:-
I used Whisper White as the base of my card... and in hindsight... probably NOT such a wise choice.. but that's what I started with, so I told myself that's what I'll finish with. I used the same technique that Kristina used on her MACM - Love You Card by scalloping the bottom of the white card and adding a piece of Pretty in Pink on the bottom, which I also added some paper piercing to. I used my Boho Backgrounds stamp set and stamped the flower stamp in Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red and Pretty in Pink then restamped the centre flower in the same colours before I added a tiny bit of 'SPARKLE' then I attached it to each of the images with a silver brad and used Dimensionals to add them to the card. The sentiment 'Wonderful Friend' is also from the Boho Background set which I've stamped in Ruby Red and underlined with the dots on the same stamp which I coloured with my Markers...(oohhh I do LOVE my new markers!!!)
I then added some Pretty in Pink ribbon to finish it off.
So there you have it... for me A VERY tough challenge... and I'm still not sure that I'm happy with the end result.. but I did promise myself I'd get a card done for this challenge.
Hope you like it.

A Challenge from Keesh!!!
I'm Back!!! WOW this must be some kind of record... well for me anyway!!!
One of my goals for the New Year is to sit down and participate in more Challenges and I think I'm off to a pretty good start.. Two challenges in a week.. YAY.
So.. Keesh is in charge of setting challenges for the online Demo Group I'm lucky to be a part of and here is her challenge for this week:-
This week she set a 'Sketch' Challenge and here is the card I came up with:- (I wonder if you can guess what colours I chose!!! hahaha)
I've used Regal Rose as the base with a layer of Certainly Celery DSP, the I've added some Rose Red DSP which I've 'Scalloped' (and let me say I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY SCALLOP EDGE PUNCH TO ARRIVE!!) - oops sorry for shouting!!!.. and then added a layer of Regal Rose which I've dry embossed with my Crop-a-dile (I'm a little obsessed with this technique at the moment.) and to that I've tied a bow in Certainly Celery Wide Grosgrain. My image is layered onto a piece of Rose Red and Whisper White card stock and the flower is from my Bodacious Bouquet set (which I just love) and that is stamped in Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose, the leaves are of course Certainly Celery. The sentiment is from my So Many Sayings (Hostess Set) and stamped in Certainly Celery onto Whisper White. The side panel and the flowers section have both been propped up on some dimensionals.
Hope you like.

I'm a LUCKY Girl!!!
I am a very LUCKY Girl, but at the same time... a bit naughty!!!!
Why you might ask... well... the lovely Danniel gave me not ONE but TWO Blog Awards and I am only just now getting around to THANKING her on my Blog... Oh I have thanked her personally, but not up here and I've been meaning to do so for a few weeks now... SO I'm VERY sorry Danniel.
I must say though that I am HONOURED that Danniel would find my Blog and little creations worthy of such awards... It alway amazes me when I log on and see that people actually do come and visit my little corner of the cyber world and that they might actually like what they see. If you haven't been to Danniel's Blog, make sure you go and check it out, she makes gorgeous cards and I was lucky enough to have met her at our Regionals last year... she is a really lovely lady and I'm lucky to have met her through something that we both enjoy doing so much.
Here are my Awards!!!
Now... being new to receiving such awards, I believe I am to nominate FIVE blogs to award.... soooo here we go ( a task I might add is not at all easy... given there are so many wonderfully talented ladies out there):-
Karen Giron:- I stumbled upon Karen's gorgeous Blog through one of her beautiful entries into Kristina's Colour Challenges. Karen's cards are beautiful and I often visit her Blog for some inspiration for my own cards. Thankyou Karen!!!
Makeesha Byl:- Keesh is such a lovely person... not only does she create beautiful cards, but she kind of adopted me into her Stampin' family and lets me tag along to her talented teams stamping get togethers. So BIG thanks go to you Keesh!!!
Traveling Mama:- I LOVE visiting Tina's Blog... she always puts a smile on my face. Tina had a little baby boy Landon around the same time (the same week I think) as my beautiful Ella was born, and always made me giggle when she posted stories the first couple of months after he was born... she pretty much was typing my exact feelings!!! Apart from giving me a laugh Tina also makes beautiful cards, and you should go and check out the calendar she is making at the moment.. GORGEOUS!!!!
Sarah Klass:- Sarah is another lovely lady I've had the pleasure of meeting since I began my Stampin' Up! journey. Her blog is filled with amazing projects and is a wonderful place to visit for inspiration.
Karen Thomas:- Karen is another fellow Aussie Demo and I love visiting her blog. (So much so that I do believe I am known to Karen as the Blog Banner Stalker... hahaha). Karens work is just gorgeous... so please go and have a look.
Soooo... there are five nominees... a very hard task to narrow it down to just five... soooo please if you are a frequent visitor to my BLOG consider yourself awarded too...
Take care and I'll be back soon to show you some more things.

Kristina's Colour Challenge #37
I am so glad to be playing along with Kristina's Colour Challenge this week. I've missed the last few due to Chrissy, Birthdays and New Years. But, I was determined to have a go this week.
Here is the Inspiration picture for this week:-
The colours are Old Olive, Baja Breeze (I;ve used Soft Sky... we don't have Baja Breeze just yet!), Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White.
And here is what I came up with... let me tell you though.. It didn't come out at all like I had pictured it in my head... but here it is anyway:-
I actually based this card on a this card I made last year... I really liked the layout so thought I'd have another go at it but with different colours and theme.
I've used Chocolate Chip as the base of the card and have clear embossed using my Polka Dot background stamp, then I've layered some Whisper White and a piece of Soft Sky which I've scalloped and then another layer of Chocolate Chip, which I dry embossed with my Crop-a-dile.. It just gives it another bit of dimension.
I've used flowers from my Felt Fusion (the small ones) and also from my Die Cuts (from the recent Spring Mini) , which I also added a little more dimension by outlining them with my Markers ( and I have to say... WHY DID IT TAKE ME SOOOO LONG TO GET SOME OF THESE???? . One of the few pieces of stamping on this card are the leaves which I've stamped in Old Olive from my Bodacious Bouquet set. The only other bit of stamping is the sentiment 'be happy' which is from my So Many Sayings Set ( Hostess Level 1). Ive stamped that in Pumpkin Pie and layered it onto a small piece of Soft Sky. Finally it is all tied off with a piece of Old Olive Wide Grosgrain and them mounted up on Dimensionals.
Well I hope you like my card for this week. I'll be back soon with some more goodies to show you.

Stars for Boys!!!
I've got a 'Cards for Boys' Stamp-a-Stack coming up... I request from the lovely Sammy (Hi Sammy!!)....which let me tell you has been quite the challenge!!!! ME... creating cards with NO Pink, NO Ribbon (well almost none!!!) and NO Flowers... Gosh...it was tough.. but I've managed to come up with a couple.
Here is one that I made up last night... now I'm not altogether happy with the finished product, but I thought I'd share it with you anyway... maybe you have a few suggestions to help it!!!!... I think I'll need to sit and stare at it a bit longer.. I'll either become happy with it or I'll figure out what I need to do to it... hahaha.
Anyway enough waffle.. here it is:-
I've used Brilliant Blue card stock for the base with a layer of Whisper White and another of Brilliant Blue. The base of the card is stamped with a stamp from Itty Bitty Backgrounds. I've used the 'Star' from Nursery Necessities which I've embossed with White embossing powder and layered a small punched blue star all held together with a silver brad. (Maybe it's a couple of brads in the top corner it needs... mmm will have to play.). The sentiment is from Big Bold Birthday and the small star I used was from my Season's of Joy Stamp set... I like it because it has an outline on it and give a bit more dimension. Oh I've also used some silver cord which I had left over from Chrissy Present wrapping.
I hope you like and PLEASE let me know any suggestions you might have!!!

A Happy New Year and a few bits to share!!!!
Firstly let me start by apologising for being 'MIA' lately!!! With Christmas, New Years, a little persons 2nd birthday party to organise ( a week before Christmas) and just generally being TIRED, TIRED and a little bit more tired and trying to deal with mmm... 5 stys in the last 3 weeks ( again I think due to being overly tired), I've been a tad neglectful of my blog... but no more.... I'm back and I do have a few goodies to share with you. So I hope ( if I haven't scared you off already, that you enjoy what I have to show you.
Before I show you all my bits and pieces I do hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and want to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I hope it is a year filled with lots of wonderful memories and happy times spent with those that mean the most to you.
We had a lovely Christmas... of course it was Ella's very first and well she spent most of the day sleeping!!!... but Jorja of course had a wonderful day and It was absolutey awesome and amazing to sit and watch her get soooo excited. Mind you she pretty much had a whole week of excitement and presents with her birthday too. Here's a little pic of the two of us on Christmas Day... she's on her Lady Bug which Gee (Granny) and GanGa (GranDa) gave her, and I just adore this picture.
Ok here we go.
As I mentioned December is a crazy time of the year, not just because of Christmas, but also it is my Beautiful Jorja's birthday.... 5 days before Christmas!!!! So the first lot of projects I have to show you are a couple of Scrapbook pages I made.. I did want to make MANY MANY more, but time got away from me and trying to squeeze Chrissy preps, cards and a Mickey Mouse birthday cake to make in as well, I had to settle for just these ones for her special day.... I hope you like them.
The first one you've probably seen on my Blog before, but I thought I'd show you again given it was one of the pages I had displayed on her birthday... and I LOVE this page and picture of her.
This next one I got my inspiration for a page that Kristina Werner had created... I loved her layout so thought I'd make a similar page for Jorja's 2nd year!!!!
I used Wild Wasabi textured card stock as the base.... mainly because it was the same colour as the dress she was wearing in the picture... clever huh.... and clever SU! for making such awesome colours... I also used Regal Rose and Whisper White. The stamp set used was my Simple Serif Alphabet set and the rest was hand written.
And this page I used Groovy Guava and Cameo Coral ( a colour I've been a bit scared of before, but not any more!!!!), and given the photos were taken at the zoo I thought it was fitting to use my Wild About You stamp set... with a little bit of Bling added!!!!
I also wanted to show you the Birthday card I made for Jorja.... again similar to one I've made before... but I LOVE the layout so I HAD to make it!!!
And given I'm a PINK girl...well her card just had to have varying shades of pink on it!!! hahaha.
Anyway.. I used Chocolate Chip as the base and layered Regal Rose, PRetty in Pink and Whisper White card which were tied together using Regal Rose Wide Grosgrain. The Stamp set I used was Big BOld Birthday and I added some PINK Rhinestones for the 'Chips' on the cupcake.
Now what else to I have to show you.... well Jorja shares her birthday with my Aunty and I thought I'd whip up a little something for her too.
I first made these Card Holders with Keesh, when she invited me to one of her team stamping nights (which I enjoyed soooo much) and I loved them... they are a fantastic idea for a gift for some one and don't take too much time to make. Inside they hold 2 cards and envelopes. For the folder I used Wild Wasabi and Really Rust Card and the Apple Cider DSP which was in the Spring Mini and unfortunately isn't available anymore. I also used my Corner Rounder to create the scallop, however I WILL be purchasing the 'Scallop Edge Punch' soooo much easier and quicker!!! And that wonderful punch is available in the current Summer Mini!!!! I also used some River Rock card and my Round Tab punch to create the large circle followed by my scallop punch ( Really Rust) and image was stamped on Very Vanilla using my Boho Background stamp set.
Inside were two cards that looked like this:-
For these I used River Rock as the card base and some Wild Wasabi which i created a Scallop Edge with and some more of the Apple Cider DSP. Ive also used some River Rock Double Stitched Ribbon and the sentiment is from my So Many Sayings (Hostess Set) stamp set.
And finally here is the little gift card I made to give to her:-
I've just used a Love Note (Whisper White) and added some flowers from the 'Felt Fusion' tin which is available in the Summer Mini and the sentiment is from the Short and Sweet stamp set.
Ok I think I've probably given you a SJ overload for one post... but I do have more things to share with you... but lucky for you I still have to upload and edit the photos....
I hope you enjoyed looking at some of my creations and hope to see you back here soon.
Take care
Sarah

Take care
Sarah
