Sweet Sunday Sketch #144

Happy Sunday!!! I hope you've had a FABULOUS weekend!!. Here, we're in "Operation De-clutter" mode, and I must admit that if it's sitting still, it's in serious danger of being turfed!!! Yep.. it's time to be ruthless, and in all honesty, I'm still not sure how it's at all possible for one family to accumulate so much C#@*!!! REALLY!!!!

Anyhoo.. the reason you're here is for the Sweet Sunday Sketch, so I won't keep you waiting any longer. Here is my card TAG for today's sketch:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

PERFECT for a Gift Tag don't you think? I needed something quick and easy tonight, and rather than sitting and over thinking my card, I opted for the easy way out and made a Gift Tag instead. I actually really like it and I'm thinking I'll whip up a few more!. Oh, that and the fact that I've been dying to use my new Textured Impressions Designer Frames, that's probably the main reason I made a Gift Tag! ;-) , oh and of course my NEW Two Tags Die!!!

The colours are Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Naturals Ivory with some Vanilla Seam Binding and some Early Espresso ink for the sentiment.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #143

Happy Sunday!!! I hope your weekend has been amazing! It's time of course for another Sweet Sunday Sketch.

I thought I may as week stick to my Christmas theme and create another Chrissy card... THREE down and TOO many to go.. hahaha.

Here's my card for this week:-

And here is the sketch:-

Now, I played and played and moved things, removed things, tilted my head ( you know the way, right?.. the tilt when you're trying to make it look differently to what it really does ;-) ), then, I removed things, re-sponged things, tilted again, squinted and pretty much threw my hands up in the air. I'm still not 100% sure that I'm 100%  happy with this one, but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. Sooo, in an attempt to save my neck from permanent injury (you know from all the tilting) I decided to settle and just let it be.

I've used my Delicate Doilies, Contempo Christmas and  Happiest Birthday Wishes (Hostess) Stamp sets. The colour combo is Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake,Vanilla, Old Olive and some Retired Christmas DSP,

hip-hip-hooray!!

Hello!!! No you're not hallucinating, this is REAL.. a SJ blog post mid week!. Take a moment to recover, I'm taking a little moment myself.. haha.. at the fact that I manged to sit down and make a little card, that this little card is for a boy (that's right, not a scrap of Pink, glitter or ribbon to be seen ANYWHERE!!), AND, that I'm actually posting it here on my blog for you to see.

We had a little birthday party to go to on the weekend and do you think I had ONE card suitable for a little boy in my stash? NOPE not ONE, not even one that could be tweaked to be suitable for a lil' man. So, after panic set in, I managed to calm down enough to remember that I got THE perfect little man stamp set at Regionals this year and here, my lovely blog friends is the final result of all that PANIC, haha :-

I've use the FTL164 as my layout, absolutely PERFECT and an AWESOME layout that I will most definately be using again SOON!!!

The stamp set is Under the Big Top and I've stamped the clown image from it (minus the little sentiment that is with it) in Stazon Ink on Water colour paper, then coloured it using various Ink Pads (Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight) and for this image I opted to use a Blender Pen rather than my Aqua Pen, purely because there are too many little spaces to colour :)

The DSP is some retired Stampin' Up! goodness, I can't think of the name of it at the moment, and the clown image was cut out using my Decorative Label Punch with a splash of Wasabi cardstock behind it.

That's pretty much it. I hope you like it, be sure to leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #142

Happy Sunday! I hope you're having/had a fabulous weekend. Be prepared for some SPARKLE today, I've gone to town on the Glitter!!! :D

I really enjoyed working with this weeks sketch and here's my card for you to see:-

And of course the sketch for you to play along with:-

I've decided to start my Christmas cards now, rather than wait until a few days before Christmas to even think about starting.. oops... SOOOO that means that many of my FAVE peeps might actually get a card in the mail this year!! WOO HOO!

Anyhoo... the card.. I've used the same colour combo as last week, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette and Cherry Cobbler, with a little dash of Early Espresso. The Stamp Set I used is my very trusty Contempo Christmas. The star of the show is possibly the tub of Dazzling Diamonds I used to plonk my Christmas Decorations in. My Little {Big} Flossie, Miss J, thought it was WONDERFUL!!! haha, and was quite the supervisor! ;-)
