Sweet Sunday Sketch #37

Hello There.... It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch. What a BEAUTIFUL day we are having here in Perth today... the sun is shining and even the shorts and t-shirts have made an appearance.... unfortunately quite possibly short lived as I believe it is going to be cold and RAINING tomorrow... hmmmm!!!! But never the less we are all going to enjoy the beautiful sunshine while it is here.

Karen has set yet another fabulous sketch for us this week, and all nice and straight too... phew... hahaha.. just kiddin' Karen!!! (waving at ya!!!).
Here is the card I came up with:-

ANd here is our gorgeous sketch:-

At this rate I'm going to have ALL of my Chrissy cards done and ready to post before December even gets here.... I'm quite liking that!!!!

With this card today I started with Choc Chip as the base and added some Ski Slope DSP using the Real Red piece... ( I seriously LOVE this Paper... I think I should get a neat little stash of it!!!)
Then I added another panel of Choc Chip with some of the Striped paper from the same DSP pack. I've been wanting to make my own little christmas tree for ages, and thought this would be the card to give it a whirl on, so I used some Choc Chip and then some of the Old Olive DSP from Ski Slope added some Choc Chip Grosgrain for the trunk and a little Baja Breeze flower from Flower Fusion Too with a Rhinestone Brad on the top. I stamped the flourish from my Season of Joy set in Old Olive underneath and the sentiment is from Best Yet using Choc Chip and Real Red. I used some Baja Breeze Wide Ribbon and some Old Olive Grosgrain just to tie in the colours a little better.

I hope you like this one, and don't forget to check out the other Sweet Sunday Stamper Girls blogs too for some amazingly gorgeous cards:-

And of course don't forget to make your own little creation using this Sweet Sketch and link it with Mr Linky on Karen's Blog.

Have a wonderful rest of your Sunday and for those in WA enjoy the long weekend.

Thanks for stopping by.

It's Friday (ALREADY!!!!) and it's time for another one of Keesh's Inkspiration Challenges!!! This week it's a COLOUR challenge. I was SO prepared for this one... I've had this card made for three weeks... YEP... Well ok, it's been ready for three weeks because I made it for this post before I realised an hour before it went live that I'd made the wrong week... ooops... but NOW it's here for showing.

I really enjoyed these colours, they work so nicely together and I think quite often a combo that I wouldn't normally choose for myself.

Anyhoo... here is my card:-

And here is the gorgeous Colour Combo from Keesh:-

I started with a base of Old Olive then added some unfortunately retired DSP from Falls Flowers. I stamped my image from Cheep Talk onto Very Vanilla using Old Olive, Not Quite Navy and Choc Chip Inks and also added a little flower from my Flower Fusion Too pack in Choc Chip with a little silver brad.

Sweet Sunday EXCITEMENT!!!!! and a Sweet Sketch!!!

Well Hello there!!!! It's Sunday, and that means Sweet Sunday Sketch time.... BUT!!!! there is more.... YES MORE!!!! I have some SUPER EXCITING news to share with you... I've been busting to share this oh so SWEET news with you, but have been sworn to secrecy until TODAY!!!! Right... so onto the EXCITMENT. I am extremely honoured and privileged to tell you that I have been asked by the GORGEOUS Karen to be a Design Team member or rather a 'Sweet Sunday Stamper' for the Sweet Sunday Sketch!!!!.. I'm still pinching myself, and was questioning at one point if Karen had asked the right "Sarah" given the AMAZINGLY TALENTED ladies that make up the rest of the "Sweet Sunday Stamper" gang.... SERIOUSLY, you must check them all out, the are AMAZING!!!!!

Now onto today's Sweet Sunday Sketch... and let me assure you this is a GOODIE!!!

I sat and pondered over this card for ages... well ok DAYS... and FINALLY came up with this:-

Oh and of course for Karen's GORGEOUS sketch:-

Oh I almost forgot... MORE EXCITEMENT... can you handle MORE!!! Of course you can!!!... Karen is giving away some BLOG CANDY this week for the Sketch winner..... sooooo wait no longer... pop on over to her fabulous blog and play along.... it really is FUN.

Now to tell you what I did.... well... I started with some Kraft cardstock and to that added a layer of Baja Breeze which I sponged a little with Choc Chip and then added some Baja Breeze DSP from the Ski Slope pack. I then tackled the Off Centre panel... hmmmm... what to do with that little beauty!!!! Well I opted to make that with some Choc Chip and some more of the gorgeous patterned paper from Ski Slope. I used my Best Yet (Hostess set) for the sentiment (the little square) and stamped that in Old Olive and Real Red with some more sponging in choc chip and added a little Choc Chip Ribbon tag. I stamped the Poinsetta from Seasons of Joy twice once on White cardstock and then on Real Red card and then joined them and the little Old Olive ribbon tag with a Rhinestone brad. I'm still a little uncertain of this little beauty... I'm not sure whether it needs a little something else... but in fear of totally ruining it, I opted for the "less is more" option.... hahaha.

Now... YOU MUST pop on over to the most amazingly talented Blogs of the other Sweet Sunday Stampers:-

Thanks for stopping by.

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge {13}

Hi there!! It's Friday, which means it's time for another Inkspiration Challenge. Today.... Keesh has set a SKETCH challenge for you... and who doesn't LOVE a good Sketch Challenge!!!

Here is the card I came up with:-

Here is the Sketch to play along with:-

I've used Regal Rose, Always Artichoke, Choc Chip and Very Vanilla as my colours today.... and a delicious combo they are too.

I started with some Regal Rose and to that added a layer of Always Artichoke which I sponged around the edges with Choc Chip and also added some Faux Stitching with my Choc Chip marker.
I cut some squares using my Scallop Square punch in Regal Rose and to those added some squares of Au Chocolat (retired) DSP... sponged the outside of those too.... hmmmm it would appear that I've been on somewhat of a 'SPONGING Frenzy' with this card... hahaha... I'm not usually one to do a lot of sponging, but I quite like it!!!! LOL
The main image is stamped on Very Vanilla and mounted again onto some Regal Rose... and yep you guessed it... MORE sponging. The stamp set I used is Live Like you Mean it ( Hostess Set) and I've used Regal Rose and Always Artichoke ink. I used my slot punch to cut a slot in the Vanilla card before adding some Choc Chip Ribbon and to that a wee touch of Kraft taffeta ribbon. The sentiment is from Sweet Little Sentiments (Hostess Set) and is stamped in Regal Rose onto Vanilla... yep more sponging and then cut using my Word Window punch.... what on earth did I do with out that punch for so long????

Be sure to pop on over to the other Design Team Members blogs for more gorgeous CARD EYE CANDY, I'm sure you wont be disappointed:-

Sweet Sunday Sketch 35 {just}

Well!!!!.... Talk about scrapping in just in the nick of time!!!!! Good Grief!!!... This would almost be a record... a record of lateness that is. I've been so busy this week that I ALMOST didn't get a chance to play along with Karen's GORGEOUS Sweet Sunday Sketch!!!!...

Here is the little card I made... and it is indeed little... slightly bigger than a love note. I had these colours out on my desk, if you could call it a desk at the moment, it looks like a Natural Disaster sight!!!!, so I thought I'd use up what I had, moreso because I couldn't actually find anything else.. hahaha.

And here is the sweet sketch Karen gave us this week to play along with.

The base is Regal Rose and to that I added some Always Artichoke which I sponged around the edges with Choc Chip. I then added another layer of Regal Rose with some Au Chocolat (retired) DSP. Some Choc chip and Kraft ribbon and then a large circle of Regal Rose, a Vanilla scallop and the floral circle from my Circle Circus set, stamped in Choc Chip. The sentiment is from Sweet Little Sentiments.

Sorry it's so quick tonight!!!!

Thanks for stopping by, and PLEASE come back tomorrow, there's a BRAND new Inkspirations Challenge and on the weekend WELL some VERY exciting news, so be sure to pop back to find out.

flower pots, flower pots and MORE flower pots

Hello There!!!! It's been a tad quiet around here this past few days... SORRY!!!! But I have a VERY good reason for that, and I'm going to show you what it was that's been keeping me so very busy.

My GORGEOUS Ella Bella is turning ONE in a few weeks... ONE!!!! And apart from the usual "Mummy find it hard to come to terms with" moments, and the "where on earth did that YEAR go" thoughts!!!! I've been BUSY, BUSY making her sweet little birthday party invitations.

NOW.... for those of you that know me, or have been visiting for a wee while, you'll also know that I tend to go a BIG BIT crazy with these little projects, and well this one is no exception.... ME and my ideas!!!!!!

So.... want to see.....:-

Here is the group shot!!!!... Yep 20 odd of these delightful little flowerpots... that's 20 flower pots, 60 odd flowers and well, I've lost count of the leaves, and YEP... I cut them ALL out!!!! CRAZY right!!!!. I must admit, I did have the occassional... "What on earth was I thinking" moment, but... I'm so glad I did them... they're soooo cute!!!

Here's one in all its cute glory.... they really are sweet and in the singular form, REALLY fun and easy to make.

Here's what the inside looks like when you slide it out of the little flower pot.

So there you go... that's what's been keeping me so busy this week. Now I just have to POST them all oh and decide what cake to make and plan the little party... oh I do love being a MUMMY!!!!

Be sure to pop back this week though, I'll have some more fun things to show you and some more exciting news.

Thanks for dropping by.

An Inkspiration of {circle circus}

Hi there... it's Friday which means it's time to play along with Keesh's Inkspirations Challenge. This week it's and Inkspiration Inspiration Challenge... try saying that fast a few times... LOL.

The SECOND I saw this GORGEOUS picture that Keesh had given us i had CIRCLE CIRCUS screaming at me... so you can imagine my excitement... I LOVE playing with my Circle Circus set... and let me assure you, this was a GOOOD play. So do you want to see.... well here it is:-

Here is the GORGEOUS Inspiration picture to play along with:-

How FUN is that????

I've used the Bed Cover as my inspiration... and started out with base of Pacific Point... see my fear of this colour is SLOWLY disappearing. I then added some Baja Breeze and stamped my Circle Circus patterns onto Whisper White using Pacific Point and Baja Breeze Ink... don't you think this stamp set is just PERFECT for this challenge?
I then added some Summer Sun....(woah... VERY BRIGHT!) which I paper pierced and added some faux stitching to and then used my Scallop Square punch to punch two "cushions". I stamped the Floral image from Circle Circus in Summer Sun then used my Square punch to punch it out and the sentiment is from my Best Yet set. I added a little Baja Breeze ribbon tag just to balance out my use of the Baja Breeze Colour and to replicate the little striped cushion sitting in the front.
So... I hope you like, and be sure to check out the other Design Team Gals GORGEOUS work:-

Well hello there!!!! If you popped in last night you might remember me telling you that I had some EXCITING news to share with you. I've been BURSTING at the seams to tell you, and well, now I can!!!! I have just been chosen to be a part of Keesh's Inkspiration Design Team.... HOW EXCITEMENT!!!!! I'm so looking forward to working with Keesh (who is just GORGEOUS) and the rest of the girls on the DT... they create such stunning work each week and I still can't believe that I am going to be a part of it.... Thanks Keesh!!!!

This week is a Colour Inspiration and you don't even want to know the PANIC that happened earlier today when I realised just before posting that I'd made a card using the WRONG colours for the week.... lets just say that I'm not exactly sure where my desk is located at the moment...hmmm will fix that later... BUT I managed to calm myself down and create a new card using the CORRECT colours.... Phew!!!! So without further adieu here is my VERY FIRST card as an Inkspiration DT Member!!!!

Here is the lovely colour combo that Keesh has given us all to play along with:-

I tied the Bow separately and attached a white button then used some glue dots to attach to the card. Both layers are mounted on Dimensionals.

Don't forget to check the rest of the Design Team's gorgeous creations, I know you wont be disappointed.
