Today's card was pretty quick and simple and I literally used things I had sitting on my desk. I've used Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette and some Pool Party as my colour combo and used the gorgeous Flower Patch stamp set... LOVE that set. I've added some Burlap and Venetian lace as well as a Doily and some sparkles in the form of Rhinestones... Pretty much ALL my faves.

I've flipped the sketch for my card... beeeeccaauuuse... I really wanted to use the cute  stamp from the Amazing Birthday stamp set, for a sweet little man's birthday today!

I've used Smokey Slate, Tangerine Tango and Bermuda Bay for the colour combo and added some Smokey Slate Chevron Ribbon for the little flag tags.

It's a pretty Clean and Simple card for me today, but I'm sure little Noah will LOVE it.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #244

Happy Sunday! Apologies for my lack of existence of late!. It's been a tad busy and crazy around this neck of the woods, with school, LIFE, and my little girl having to have her tonsils and adenoids removed. She's been a trooper and is almost back to normal!.

All the deets for this weeks sketch are over on Karen's blog, so I hope you can join in the fun!.

Here is my card for this week's sketch:-

And a little close up of the main image:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I have to admit, when I first saw this sketch I had a little FREAK out!!! Tilted panels!!!!... Arrrrgggg. Anyhoo... I have to admit, I might actually be getting the hang of these tilted thingamys... AND... I might even actually like them!!!. GASP!!!

I really enjoyed putting this card together... It's made using colours I wouldn't usually pick up first time around... Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow, although it does have Calypso Coral and Crumb Cake... so I guess that made it all a little easier! ;-). I've used the gorgeous stamp set Kinda Eclectic... LOVE it!!! And the sentiment is from Four You. I've added my usual suspects in the form of a Doily, Burlap Ribbon, Linen Thread and some sparkles!

Sweet Sunday Sketch #240

Happy Sunday!! It's time for another fabulous Sweet Sunday Sketch!. All the important deets are over on Karen's blog :D

Here is my card for this weeks sketch:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I've decided to give my new Festival of Trees a run for its money this week. And today I decided to break away from the tradition Red and Green colours of Christmas and go for some GORGEOUS Pink (Pirouette) and Lost Lagoon, with some Crumb Cake thrown in!

I've added some Burlap Ribbon and some Pink Pirouette seam binding, oh and a little dash of Linen thread. The tree has been punched out with the coordinating Christmas Tree punch and I've punched 4 of those to make it a 3D tree. I also used the new On Point Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Here is my card for today's sketch:-

And a little close up look of the 'Wondrous Wreath' in all its loveliness!

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I've used the gorgeous Wondrous Wreath stamp set and coordinating framelits for this card. LOVE THEM!!! I see a Wondrous Wreath Christmas Class in my future!!... Are you interested? Leave me a comment and let me know!! :D The colour combo is Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler with Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz as the greens on the wreath. I LOVE how this sketch can be used as a CAS card OR you can add extra layers. I've kept it pretty simple just using my Arrows Textured Embossing Folder for some extra dimension.
The word 'Joy' has been cut using the Wondrous Wreath framelits... YES there are TWO words included and I've used Glimmer Paper for that!. A couple of Rhinestones for an extra touch of bling and, VOILA, DONE!.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #226

Happy Sunday!!! Goodness it seems like FOREVER since I've been here!!! So, sorry about that! It's been kinda crazy here... since Convention ( which was in MAY!!!) I've kind of felt like a duck!!.. You know... calm on the top, but paddling for dear life underneath!!.. End of school, recovering from an AMAZING Convention, preparing and completing my Education Assistant Prac and pretty much LIFE has all contributed to it. I've quite honestly had NO time to stamp, and thought I may have completely lost my MOJO. I think it's coming back, slowly!.

Anyhoo... enough of that.. you're here to see my Sweet Sunday Sketch card, right!?.. here it is:-

My little girl has a birthday party to go to tomorrow, and this sweet card is for her friend. Now, had it been for an adult, I quite likely would've gone a little more crazy on the embellishments, a little something else on the bow, perhaps, but considering, more often than not, I end up rescuing them from the party floor, I thought I'd stop and keep it kinda simple!.

Here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I've used Soft Sky, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz as the colour combo and added a little bit of Soft Suede for the sentiment. I embossed the Pear Pizzazz piece of card stock with  my..... um..... wait..... Delicate Designs Embossing folders ( LOVE THIS ) and added some Crumb Cake seam binding and a couple of little rhinestones.

Happy Sunday! It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch!!! I hope you'll have a chance to join us. For all the deets on what to do, just head on over to Karen's blog!

Today we were so very blessed to attend the Christening of a gorgeous and ever so precious little girl and even MORE blessed and honoured to be asked to be her God Parents. My card for today's sketch is the card I created for her, although, it didn't seem to photograph as nicely as I'd hoped...it's one of those cards that looks SOOOO much better in real life, but, here it is anyway:-

Here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I've used Strawberry Slush, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White, with a smidge of Crumb Cake to vintage it up a little bit.
I pulled out a gorgeous stamp set that I have been seriously neglecting, Daydream Medallions, to created to focal point and added an extra little flower, just to make it a extra special. I created the flower using my scallop punch, some Pink Pirouette card stock and a Rhinestone brad. I used my Delicate Designs embossing folder for the side panel and spritzed the whole thing with some Vanilla Smooch, although the photo makes it look like I attacked it with a wet cloth... I assure you, I didn't!

Ive stamped the image in Early Espresso and added an extra "AMAZING" stamped in Strawberry Slush. Some divine Burlap and some Silver Glimmer Paper, oh, and some twine and this little beauty is done!
