Merry Christmas!!!!

Christmas Eve!!! It's here again, ALREADY!!!! Where did the year go??? It's been a crazy year, filled with little people growing up before our eyes, school, giggles, FUN, travelling overseas, meeting {FINALLY} a very special friend for the first time (while overseas), the occasional tough time, tears, BUT mainly happy memories!! How can I not have happy and amazing memories with such a BEAUTIFUL family, and AMAZING and GORGEOUS friends.

Here's a peek at some of the amazing memories the Kalé Clan made this year!!

FIRST Mojitos in Miami!!! The adults NOT the Flossies!! ;-)
A BIG Red Bus Ride Date in Hawaii!!

And a meeting with Princess Belle!!
A meeting with Sleeping Beauty!

A visit to the GLORIOUS Rocky Mountain country COLORADO!!

A FIRST encounter with Snow in the beautiful Rocky Mountains and of course the building of our VERY FIRST Snow Man!!!

Meeting and making life long friends!!! They could actually be sisters!!!

OOhh LOOK... meeting FINALLY my beautiful and amazing friend Karen!!!
A stroll through Central Park!!

And of course!!... This... our Christmas Photo!!.. This is our own Christmas Tradition.. an annual family photo!!. It's so hard during the year to get a photo that actually has the four of us in it, but at Christmas time, we manage to do it. It's amazing to see how much the girls have changed over the year. If you don't believe me check out last year's Christmas Photo here :D.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year!! May the new year bring with it happiness, fun and of course memories that you can look back upon and SMILE!!

Merry, Merry Christmas!!!

    Sweet Sunday Sketch #171

HEllO!!!... My Sweet Sunday Sketch card is going to be a tad late... SORRY!!.. Well, ok, it's actually already late, so I guess what I meant to say was, it's going to be a little later!! SORRY!!!

I had a busy weekend prepping for a Market Stall and had every intention of finishing my card and posting it last night when I got home. Well, that didn't happen, and then I had every intention of doing it first thing this morning. However, I was woken up at 3am with a very sick little person who hasn't wanted me to leave her side for longer than 1 min at a time, so that stopped this mornings card posting intention.

I will do my very best, depending on how long I'm allowed to leave the side of Miss E, to have my card finished and posted tomorrow, or perhaps we should go with Wednesday to be safe!!! Goodness!!

HEre is the sketch though, for you to play along with:-

And of course, don't forget to pop on over and visit the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers for some amazing (and ON TIME) inspiration!!:-

    Sweet Sunday Sketch #170

Happy Sunday! It's time for another fun Sweet Sunday Sketch. Hope you'll find some time to join us.

Here's my card for today's challenge:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I decided to be brave today and use a couple of colours that are not really in my 'GO TO' pile. Now, while Primrose Petals is not one of those... because it's PINK and I LOVE it... Summer Starfruit, frightens the beejeebees out of me, and Midnight Muse, well I like it, but I'm not usually a dark blue kinda girl. I know!!.. SHOCK right!!??
Anyhoo.. I used them, BOTH!!, and I think I did OK!. Although I must admit that Blogger has made the colours look a bit funky.

I also used my Summer Silhouettes stamp set and some of the In-Colors ribbon in Primrose Petals.

Be sure to visit the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers for some AMAZING card samples:-

    Sweet Sunday Sketch #169

Happy Sunday!!!. I'm going to be quick today... Blogger seems to be playing games with me today...!! AND my keyboard just died... it's ok.. just  needed a battery replacement.. but you get the point!!!

Sooo.. here's my card for today's sketch:-

And here is the FUN sketch, for you to play along with:-

I REALLY loved this sketch!! Fun and Simple to work with.. LOVE!!!

I actually used a card that my very lovely friend Sarah made one night when we were having one of our "Play Nights".. you know, those fun, stampin' Play Nights!!.. LOVE those. Anyhoo.. she created this AMAZING card right there in front of me, AND I had to pretty much COPY it straight away... So for this card I used the part I blatantly copied from the lovely Sarah (that part being the stamped image) and added it to the gorgeous sketch blatantly copied from the gorgeous Karen and VOILA... my card for this week!! :D

The stamp set I used is.....Lacy and Lovely (it's LOVELY indeed and NOW I need to have it ;-) ) and the sentiment is from my new Sweet Essentials. The colours are Soft Suede, Primrose Petals and Crumb Cake. I've also used my Adorning Accents Embossing Folder and some lovely Pearls.

Be sure to visit the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers for some AMAZING card samples:-
And don't forget to link your card to InLInkz over at Karen's blog so we can all see what you've created.

    Peek-a-baby

Hello!!! Please, do not fall off your chair!!.. Two posts in two days... AMAZING!!!

I made a little card and gift tag for a beautiful friend who recently had a gorgeous baby girl. Due to all kinds of nasty bugs that infiltrated the Kalé abode and its residents, I've only just yesterday, been able to meet said GORGEOUS GIRL, and I must admit to hogging her all afternoon while I snuggled and sniffed in her gorgeousness :D

Here is the card and gift tag I made:-

I used the BEAUTIFUL Happy You (Hostess) Set, which I have to admit to being a BIG bit in love with. It's such a sweet set and once coloured in, SOOOOOO cute!!!

The colours I used were Crumb Cake, Primrose Petals, Pink Pirouette and a touch of Gumball Green for the Cardstock. For colouring I used my Aqua Painter, Watercolour Paper and Pink Pirouette, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple and Gumball Green Ink.

I'm SO happy with how it turned out. Can't wait to sit down and play some more with this gorgeous set.

The other goodies I used to create the card and tag are, my Big Shot, the Perfect Pennants Die, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Circle #2 Die (although I did have to cut the Gumball Green circle down a tad),Adorning Accents Edgelits and embossing folder,  and my 1 3/4" Circle Punch.

I hope you like this little creation.

    Sweet Sunday Sketch #168

Happy Sunday! It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, I hope you'll find some time to join in the fun!

Today I've made a VERY special birthday card for my Grandmother (Dinan). She is going to be 90 soon, and it's pretty safe to assume she won't be blog surfing, nor will she come on over to my blog for a looksie ;-)

Here is my card for this weeks challenge:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I've been wanting to use my Memorable Moments stamp set since returning from the SU! Convention in Canberra, back in June!!! Yep.... it's been that long, and I'm sad to admit, this delightful set has sat unopened and unmounted all that time. It really is a fun and VERY versatile set, can't wait to play with it again.

The colour combo I used was based around the Twitterpated DSP. Can I just say HOW EXCITED I was to see that it had been carried over into this years SU! Cattie!!.. VERY EXCITED!! Right... back to the colour combo, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Basic Grey, and Cherry Cobbler, with some Whisper White card stock also.

Be sure to visit the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers for some AMAZING card samples:-

    Sweet Sunday Sketch #167

Hello!!! Right!!... Straight into it today.. I'm LATE!! and I'm in BIGGGGGGG trouble from my SSSC boss ;-).

Today is a very special day for a VERY special little girl and my card is just for her :D. Actually, this might just save me from my above mentioned BIIIIGGGGGGG trouble ;-). Happy Birthday sweet Katie!!! We hope your day is AMAZING.

Here is Miss Katie's birthday card, and of course my card for today's Sweet Sunday Sketch:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I've used Katie's favourtie colours Pink and Purple. That right there is why Miss Katie and my Miss Ella were INSTANT friends when they met :D... I'm sure of it.. hehehe.

I've used lots of SPARKLE and of course added a BIG PURPLE (ie Razzleberry) 5!!

Be sure to visit the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers for some AMAZING card samples:-

    SU! Heartfelt Event {Perth}

Hello!!!..Please don't fall off your seat when you see this pop up into your Readers!!! It would appear I've been a little hiatus ;-).

Last week I got to attend Stampin' Up!'s Heartfelt Event in Perth. It was such a FUN day... picture 200+ women all gathered together, to create, be inspired, share and pretty much just BE!!

I was lucky enough (and I'm still in shock!) to be asked to prepare some samples for the Product Playground, using new stock from the NEW catalogue, and thought I'd share those with you today.

I didn't get the chance, due to a few personal issues, to get as many samples made as I had hoped, but was pretty pleased with what I managed to come up with after a few tussles with the NEW Watercolour Winter stamp set (we didn't see eye to eye for a while there ;-) ). Watercolour Winter is available in the NEW Seasonal Catalogue. SOOOOO much NEW stuff to look at!!!

    So here are my samples:-

This first set I've made a matching card and gift tag. The colour combo I went with is Crumb Cake and Primrose Petals (one of the NEW In Colors), I also used some NEW Gumball Green Ribbon and the NEW Bitty Banners Framelits on the card. I coloured my Rhinestone Jewels with my SU! Markers, so add a little colour.

This is a little Gift Box I made and I filled it with little Gift Tags. The set I used for this was Christmas Wishes and it's in the Holiday Catalogue as a Hostess Stamp Set. The little Santa was covered in Dazzling Diamonds, although that's not showing up so well in the photo. The Little To/From tags are from the same set and I've just cut the tags out using the Bitty Banners Framelits.

I do have one other sample to show you, but Blogger is misbehaving and I can't seem to get it to upload. (I'm not sure how I managed to get these two up yet, but when I figure it out, I'll be right onto it!)

Thanks so much for stopping by. If there is any more information you'd like about these projects, please, just leave me a comment or send me an email and I'll get back to you.

    Sweet Sunday Sketch #165

Happy Sunday!!! I hope you've had an awesome week and are ready to join us for another fun Sweet Sunday Sketch.

It's been a weird week here, and a BUSY week, actually it's going to be a BUSY month. My little girls are quite the social butterflies and have a month 'rammed' with birthday parties, so today's card is for her sweet handsome little friend who is celebrating his 'Pirate' Party today.

Here is his little card, and of course my card for this weeks sketch:-

And here is the fun sketch for you to play along with:-

Anyone who knows me,( actually probably EVERYONE), knows that I struggle and I mean REALLY struggle when it comes to creating 'BOY' cards. I think it's the lack of Pink on them.. haha. So I'm actually kinda chuffed that this one turned out, somewhat how I'd actually pictured it in my mind (another reality that rarely comes to fruition.. haha).

I've used a colour combo of Pacific Point (scary), Real Red (doable), Baja Breeze (EASY) and Crumb Cake (REALLY EASY). I also finally got to use my Textured Impressions Stripes Embossing Folder, see it there on the Baja Breeze panel :D and I made a sweet little Pirate Owl, using my Owl Punch. I stamped the image from my Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set and used my Baja Breeze, Pacific Point and Real Red Markers to colour it. Some buttons and a dash of Bakers Twine and it's pretty much done. AND, there is absolutely NO Pink, NO Glitter and NO ribbon!!! I know!!.. I may need a moment to recover! ;-)

Be sure to visit the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers for some AMAZING card samples:-
And don't forget to link your card to InLInkz over at Karen's blog so we can all see what you've created.

    Sweet {SWEET} Sunday Sketch #164

ETA:- Apologies for the late post, it would appear that in my excitement of being ready early, I forgot to hit the correct buttons when 'attempting' to schedule my blog post :-/ ... hmmmm...  SORRY!!!

Happy Sunday!!! I hope you're ready for another fun Sweet Sunday Sketch! This week is  a little MORE fun, because our awesome leader has some FUN Blog Candy up for grabs for one lucky person!!!.. So DO join us!!

Okay.. this week I thought I'd do something a little different.. and seen as our resident rule breaker Jen, isn't with us any more (*waving Jen.. LOVE YA!!!), I thought I'd fill her shoes.. hehehe.
Well, ok, I didn't really break the rules I just changed it up a bit.

Here is my card/scrap card for this week:-

And here is the layout for you:-

When I sat down to make my card this week, I thought it would be fun to create a scrap page layout using it.... ANNNDDD.. of course I just so happened to receive my little girl's school photos, so it worked out PERFECTLY!!! I'm thinking I'll make another, but a FULL Size scrap page for this darling photo. She's BEAUTIFUL isn't she :D. Yep.. I know I'm biased ;-).

I've used the gorgeous Twitterpated DSP from the soon to finish Mini Catalogue. The flower is made using my Triple Doily Punch, and I've used my Designer Frames Embossing Folder for the little pink frame behind the photo. A touch of Baja Breeze Seam Binding and a little tag and it's all done.

I hope you like what I've created and for some more amazing inspration be sure to visit the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers:-

And don't forget to link your card to InLInkz over at Karen's blog so we can all see what you've created.

    A {Suprise}

A few weeks ago I received an email from Melanie Schulenberg of Pockets of Inspiration Blog, asking me if I was interested in joining the Creative Take Design Team for the Paper Crafters Sampler (PCS). The PCS is a monthly online magazine for Stampin' Up! customers and demonstrators and is filled to the brim with ideas and inspriation using Stampin' Up! products.
Included int he magazine is a template, designed by Melanie to create your own 3D object, and it's my job :D, to have a play with the templates and see if I can create something a little different and HOPEFULLY inspire you in the process :D.

I have to admit to being in shock for a while after I'd read Melanie's email... I wasn't sure if she'd sent it to the wrong person.. hahah..

The template I've worked on first is fromt he July Issue , which is filled with Summer inspiration and BRIGHT colours. Although, for me it's actually in the middle of winter, it's always nice to pick up some bright colours and play.

If you'd like to subscribe and receive your own electronic copy of the July Paper Crafters Sampler then just click here.

The template Melanie has given me to work with is a Lollipop Podium, and this is what I came up with:-

I've got an idea for something else using the same template and hope to have that up for you to see sometime this week, so do pop on back to see .

I've used a combination of fabric (Flirtatious) and Designer Series Paper to create my butterflies and then pop them all through my Big Shot using my Beautiful Butterflies die. I used my Doily Triple Layer punch to create the Wisteria Wonder flower on the front and made some 'grass' using my paper snips and some Lucky Limeade Cardstock. Some buttons, Brads and Satin ribbon finish it off quite nicely I think, and it's definately something I can see me making more of, especially as I have two little girls who ALWAYS need pretty party ideas!! :D

Thanks so much for stopping by.

    Sweet Sunday Sketch #162

Happy Sunday!! I hope you're ready to play along with us this week, on the Sweet Sunday Sketch!

Here is my card for this weeks challenge:-

And here is the fun sketch for you to play along with:-

I've gone a little embossing crazy this past few weeks, so I'll try to change it up a bit for you next challenge.. haha.

I firstly stamped the background using the 'Reason to Smile' stamp set, in VersaMark, then used White Embossing Powder and my heat tool to create my own DSP, so to speak. I ADORE white on Crumb Cake, don't you!?

The main image is the other flower from the same stamp set, also heat embossed in white, then I used my Stampin' Write markers to colour the images. One is coloured in Blushing Bride and Cherry Cobbler and the other in Baja Breeze and Island Indigo.

I added a little piece of Twitterpated DSP, some Island Indigo scallops, cut using my Big Shot and Edgelits and finished it off with a BIG DOUBLE BOW in Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding. I'm a little obsessed with those bows at the moment too, in case you hadn't noticed! ;-)

The rest of the Sweet Sunday Stamper's have some AMAZING cards to show you too... sooooo... off you go.. go visit them and be INSPIRED:-
And don't forget to link your card to InLInkz over at Karen's blog (following the DT call instructions if you want to be considered in the DT selection!!) so we can all see what you've created.

    just because

Hello!!!!.. I'm back for a weekday visit!!!

I sat down tonight to make a card, just for fun!!! Yep!!..

I'm having a little embossing fetish at the moment, teamed with lots of Crumb Cake bows!!!... I'll try something new for next week.. PROMISE!!! ;-)

For this card... I used my Polka Dot embossing folder for some background texture then added some First Edition DSP with my current mandatory Crumb Cake ribbon treatment!!. The main image is the large flower stamp from my Bodering on Romance set, which I've heat embossed with White Embossing Powder then used my Stampin' Write Markers to colour in.. I'm actually really happy with how it turned out.

If there is anything extra you'd like to know about this card, please just leave a comment or send me an email and I'll get back to you.

    friends {love}

Why, HELLO!!!! This is a bit of a shock isn't it!? A mid-week post by SJ!!! Goodness!!

I've been having a little play today and managed to come up with, create and actually FINISH a card for a little challenge set by the gorgeous InkyLouLou for a team stamping challenge. I'm actually a bit happy with the outcome of this little card, mainly, because when I started it I had absolutely NO IDEA where I was going with it... all I had were the challenge conditions of 3-2-1 (3 stamped images (or photo's if doing a scrap page!), 2 embellishments and 1 piece of DSP!)

I inked up my  Creative Elements stamp set, well at least the Butterfly from the Creative Elements stamp set, with Versamark and stamped it onto a piece of First Edition DSP, then covered that with White Embossing Powder and then gave it a blast with my Heat Tool. I've used Calypso Coral Ink and sponged over the image so that the Butterfly would POP ... LOVE Emboss Resist!!!. I then used my Framelits to cut the image and then once cut put it back through the Big Shot to emboss the frame around it using my Designer Frame embossing folders.
The doily piece underneath is from the Flirtatious DSP pack and I've just sponged around the edges with Soft Suede to soften it up a tad. I also added some prettieness in the form of Crumb Cake Seam Binding (LOVE!!) and added some tags as the sentiments from my Tiny Tags stamp set. OOH and the Pool Party piece of cardstock has been run through the Big Shot in my Polka Dot Embossing Folder... FUN!!!

Want to learn how to make this!!!???  Why not host your own Stampin' Up! Party? Contact me to find out all the details.

    Thanks for stopping by.
