Just Because I Care

I 've been wanting to participate in one of Taylor's Cupcake Challenges for AGES!!! and finally I've managed to sit down and do one... YAY for me!!!! hahahaha

Here is my card for Taylors Challenge this week... I hope you like it.

I've used Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red and Whisper White Card stock and some of the delicious Candy Lane DSP. The stamp set is the Level 1 Hostess Live Like you Mean It and the sentiment is from another Level 1 Hostess Set called Best Yet... these sets are definately going to get a workout.

I think I should've added something to the top right corner... maybe some brads or something, but you see I somehow managed to put this card together all back the front and forgot to add them. Maybe I still can... I might wait until my new Rhinestone brads arrive and add a couple.. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by.

Hello There!!! Be warned this one is a BRIGHT one!! hahaha

It's time for Karen's lovely Sweet Sunday Sketch ( have I told you how much I LOVE these?)

I'm sorry this is quick, but my little darlings have BOTH just woken up from their naps and my craft area is about to be overrun with two little tornados!!!

Here is Karen's gorgeous sketch for this week:-

And here is my SUPER Bright card:-

I've used Summer Sun (YELLOW) and the Good Morning Sunshine DSP, with a bit of Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.
You may notice that I've put a square on my card... well you see I don't own any thing that might resemble an oval, I was going to resort to rummaging through the kitchen in an attempt to maybe find a cookie cutter or something, but didn't think Karen would mind me going 'Square' on her.. hahaha.

HOpe you like it... Oh my gosh I've just realised... I FORGOT some RIBBON... Oh dear... might take me a moment to recover from that!!! hahaha.

I'll be back soon with some more goodies to show you.
Thanks for stopping by.

Look what I got!!!

Hi There!!

I can't tell you exactly what I sounded like, but I did let out little squeals of delight when I opened up my mail today!!!...ooohhhh it was just lovely. It was enough of a delightful squeal that Jorja asked..."Mummy OK?"... Yes Mummy is OK!!!

Sooooo, would you like to see what my squeals were over???

The first lot of squeals were for this BEAUTIFUL Birthday card I received from Karen.... yes that Karen... The lovely and EXTREMELY talented and clever Karen Giron, well OK there were double squeals going on here... one with the delight of the beautiful card, and one because I was so excited it was from Karen. (You see Karen and I share the same Birthday... April 24th)... hehehehe...

Look at this gorgeous creation in all it's PINKNESS... Karen knows me oh so well. Oh gosh I just love it, and it has taken pride of place on the TV for everyone to see.
Thankyou so very much Karen!!!! (I'm still squealing, but a little more quietly now, so as to not alarm Jorja again!!) hahaha

Oh and the next lot of squeals were for this stunning card from Keesh.

Isn't it gorgeous... and again lots of lovely Pink. Ooohh I LOVE it.
Thankyou too Keesh, it's just beautiful.

Getting these in the post today, just made my day. So Thankyou again Karen and Keesh, hopefully after a nice hot cuppa, i'll have calmed down enough to sit down and make some more cards myself.

Bye for now.

Circle Circus meets Pocket Silhouettes

Hi There!!!

I've been playing with my lovely new goodies again tonight and have come up with another card t show you. This one combines Circle Circus (yes the one that caused so much excitement in this post) and Pocket Silhouettes.

Now... I saw a card similar to this somewhere out there in BLOG LAND, and do you think I can remember where!!!! Nope... soooo if this is similar to something you've posted on your Blog, please let me know so I can figure out where I saw it and give due credit. (It wasn't made with Pocket Silhouettes though, I don't think!!!) - sitting here biting my lip!!!!

Anyhoo... here is my card:-

I've used Kiwi Kiss as the base and layered it with some Kiwi Kiss DSP from the Good Morning Sunshine Pack, some Whisper White Cardstock and some Riding Hood Red, which I've stamped with a stamp from Circle Circus in Versa Mark and then Clear Embossed with my Heat Tool, oh and that piece has been scalloped with my Scallop Edge Punch.
I then used Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette to stamp the image from Pocket Silhouettes and the sentiment from the Level One Hostess Set 'Best Yet' is stamped in Kiwi Kiss. Add to that some GORGEOUS Satin Ribbon (Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla) and a Kiwi Kiss Button from Button Bouquet (SU!)...mmm... a few dimensionals and that's it.

I've managed to make that sound like I just whipped it up in no time at all.... not the case... I sat here procrastinating for a while, trying to figure it all out, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

I'll be back soon with more to show you.
Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #14

Hello Again!!! Are you sick of me yet? Gosh Please say NO!!! hahha
Another Sunday and another TWO posts in one night!!!! (Shell, I may need my Blankie AGAIN!!! hahaha).

The lovely Karen has set another BEAUTIFUL sketch for us to work with this week... here it is:-

And here is my card:-

Another Newbie for you to see. I'm trying to ink up all of my new sets at least once each this week... so far so good!!!

This time I've used 'Live Like You Mean It' a Level One Hostess Set. I've used Kiwi Kiss as the Base with a layer of Very Vanilla and some Riding Hood Red DSP from the Candy Lane Pack... ooohh do LOVE that pack... lots of PINK in it you see!!! oh and some Close to Cocoa... oooppss I digress from my card... back on track!!!! then I cut a square in Riding Hood Red and another in Very Vanilla and stamped my flower directly onto the card. I found it needed a bit of a lift so I (the Queen of Cutting small delicate little numbers!!!!) decided to restamp the flower and cut it out and pop in on some dimensionals... much better. Oh and just to make things a tad more difficult for myself, I decided AFTER I'd stuck it all together that it should probably have a bit of Dazzling Diamonds in the centre of each flower... so I'll leave it to you to picture in your mind how I attempted to do this without having the whole card covered in glitter!!!!
Oh and I mustn't forget the GORGEOUS new Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla (aaaHaa...it's Double Sided) Satin Ribbon...ooohhh it's lovely!! Again I digress... well that's it tied around the centre. Hahaha.

The sentiment is another Level One Hostess Set called Sweet Little Sentiments, and I've stamped that in Kiwi Kiss.

Hope you like.

Hello There!!

Hello There!!!

Thought I'd share with you another new stamp set I managed to sit down and play with today.
This set is called 'Cheep Talk' and it has the cutest little bird stamps in it... adorable. I've managed to calm myself down somewhat since my last post... which did see me getting a little, well OK a big bit excited.

Here is my card:-

I've used the lovely Baja Breeze card as the base and then layered it with some Choc Chip, Whisper White and Kiwi Kiss (yep... another newie). I stamped the branch from the set in Choc Chip and the leaves in Kiwi Kiss, then stamped the little bird in Baja Breeze and cut him out and popped him up on a dimensional... he really is adorable...might have to make one in PINK now... hahaha. The Sentiment and the little flower, both from the same Cheep Talk set are both stamped in Riding Hood Red (ahhuh... new!!!). Oh and the flowers along the bottom are stamped in Kiwi Kiss and popped on some dimensionals. I then tied some of the Riding Hood Red Tafetta ribbon around it and popped the whole lot on some dimensionals and 'Voila' all done. This is a great little set to use if you want to create fun cards quickly.. there is heaps of potential here... I just have to sit down for a bit longer and play some more.

Pop back soon... I plan to make some more cards tonight to share with you.

Thanks for stopping by.

Circle Circus - A Brand New Stamp Set!!!!

Hello...Hello!!!

Can you tell I'm a tad excited!!! I really am!!! You see I got my Brand Spankin' New Stampin' Goodies today... oh the joy when I had not ONE but TWO boxes of goodies arrive!! As the gorgeous Shell (my lovely Blogging Buddy... waving to you!!!) said the other day... 'I needed a sedative and my Blankie to calm down!!! hahaha

Anyway.. all of my new stamp sets are already cut ready to mount... yep one of the benefits of the NEW stamp sets in the NEW SU! Catty. Think of all that time saved and all that extra stampin' time... Again OH so exciting!!! and then add to that a Brand Spankin' absolutely NEVER EVER seen before stamp set...yep, us Aussie Demos are the very first to get our hands on this one....Gosh I think I'll need two Blankies!!!!

Ok.. I think I've calmed down enough to show you what I came up with. Of course I had to have the thinking cap on extra tight tonight, given there aren't any cards around made with this set. Sooo... to you want to see??? Of course you do... GOsh I hope you're not disappointed after all this excitement.

The new Stamp set is called 'Circle Circus' and it is just lovely!!! Soooo much potential here.
And here is my card:-

I've used the very pretty and also BRAND NEW Pink Pirouette as the card base, with a layer of Close to Cocoa and Kraft. On the Kraft I've stamped one of the circle stamps from the set numerous times to act as a 'Background' stamp. Then I stamped the Scalloped Circle from the set in Pink Pirouette and again in Close to Cocoa to get the extra centre bit, which has been mounted on dimensionals and had a splash of Dazzling Diamonds added. Well a Brand New Set definately deserves some Bling... doesn't it?? haha I used my Round Tab Punch to create the larger pink circle behind it and then added some linen thread before attaching it to the lovely NEW Pink Pirouette Ribbon. The sentiment is from Short and Sweet and is stamped in Close to Cocoa on Pink Pirouette card.

So there you go... I hope it was worth the wait, and hopefully I've convinced you to GET this gorgeous set.

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to come back soon... I've got MORE new sets to play with!!!!

Sweet Sunday Sketch #13

Hello!!! Hope you all had a lovely Easter.

Well would you look at this.... I think I actually have time to spare!!! hahaha. My little darlings were kind to Mummy this afternoon and both went down for a nap at the same time and gave me a moment to make a card. They're awake now... so this will have to be quick!!!

Here is Karen's sketch for this week:-

And here is my card:-

Yes.... I'm back to having some PINKNESS!!! I figured it was time... the last few cards I've made have been without a trace of my beloved colour. Although... this colour combo is one that I've not used before. Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa and So Saffron. I used my Boho Background stamp and the bottom panel is one of the background stamps from the set which I've Clear embossed using embossing powder and my Heat Tool.. The centre of the flower I've added some extra dimension by using some Crystal Effects to make my own 'Brad' I guess.
The sentiment is stamped in Close to Cocoa and is from the Short and Sweet set.

Hope you like.
Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #12

Hi There!!!

Again... I think I'll just make the deadline for Karen's gorgeous Sweet Sunday Sketch.
When I saw the sketch for this week it actually screamed out BOYS card!!! Just so happens we have Shane's Dads birthday coming up so that's exactly what I used the sketch for (Oh I think it's pretty safe to say he WONT be looking on my Blog before his Birthday, so it's pretty safe to share it with you.

Today has been one of those days... you know THOSE days where.... my little darlings won't have their naps... well not without PROTEST... the computer is running on SUPER SLOW time, my paper cutter needs a new blade so it cuts my DSP nicely, and nothing seems to be going right!!!! So I'm not 100% happy with my card, but the fear of completely messing it up took over, and I decided this will just have to do today, so I hope you like it.

First up here is Karen's gorgeous sketch!!!

And here is my card:-

I'm still waiting on all my NEW goodies to arrive, so I'm using up some of my recently retired stamps and paper.
I've used Choc Chip as the base and layered it with some Outlaw DSP (yep retired), the stamp set I've used is 'It's Your Birthday' (ah huh... retired). I saw a card here, which is where I got the idea for the layering of the stamps.

Thanks for stopping by... I'm off now to try to but Ella back down for a proper nap this time!!!!

Here's what I used:-

Stamps:- It's Your Birthday (retired)
Card:- Choc Chip, Outlaw DSP
Ink:- Sage Shadow, Creamy Caramel, Choc Chip
Accessories:- Dimensionals.

Ice-ceme!!

No... it's not a spelling error... it's Ice-Ceme... well that's how Jorja says it anyway.. Hahaha.

I've managed to sit down and create a Scrap Page. I've been wanting to scrap these photos of Jorja for a few weeks now, ever since I saw this sketch layout by Jen Tapler at Paper Craft Planet.

Well... I missed the deadline for the challenge, but I still wanted to make the page. And here is what I came up with.

I've used Jorja's hat as the colour scheme, so used Basic Grey Textured as the base, then added some Rose Red DSP (unfortunately retired) and some Tempting Turquoise as the strips for the photos to go onto.
The letters are Thickers from American Crafts.

It was such a funny chain of events... Jorja starting out with an Icy Pole...thinking she was very grown up and special and then Gee (aka Granny) asked her if she'd like to taste her 'Icecream'. Well Gee was swiftly handed the icypole and when she asked Jorja if she could have her Icecream back Jorja quite bluntly told her .... Noooo!...Noooo!!
She managed to eat what was left of it without one single dribble!!! Well she couldn't possibly waste any could she??

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Sarah

Here's what I used:-

Stamps:- None
Card:-
Basic Grey Textured, Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red DSP (retired)

Ink:-
None... well actually, Tempting Turquoise and Rose Red.. to colour the buttons at the bottom of the page.

Accessories:- Glue Dots, Buttons (SU!)

Pocket Notes ... Best Wishes Gift

Hello Again.... I Know!!! Another night with TWO posts... what's going on!!!

I just wanted to share with you very quickly a little extra gifty I made for my BEAUTIFUL friend for her birthday. Just a little something extra to go with her pressie.

We made these little card folders at the Stampin' Up! Regionals last year, so I thought I'd whip up another for a little gifty. So very quick and a really lovely extra something to add to a present bundle for someone special.

Again I've used up my 'Retired' In Colours bits and pieces, well mainly this time because it goes with her Birthday card.

I've used Blue Bayou as the Folder Base and some Soft Sky and Falls Flowers DSP. The stamp is from Live Your Dreams (also recently retired).
The card on the inside (there's three cards and three envelopes) have a Blue Bayou and Soft Sky square and two butterflies on each, one Old Olive and one Blue Bayou ( yes MORE cutting!!!!) the sentiment is from Short and Sweet, I wanted to make it something that she can use. I also lined the inside of each envelope with some Falls Flowers DSP, unfortunately I'd run out of the matching piece from the front... but I don't think she'll mind.

Hope you like.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi There!!!

I've been sitting here at my desk for pretty much most of the evening trying to decided WHAT to make. Well OK lets be honest... I've been procrastinating.
I finally came up with a card, but I'm not too sure about it. Not really sure if I like it or not, but I figured given I've been sitting here for so long, I'd better post something to show for it.. Hahaha.

So here is my "Mmmmmm" card:-

I'm still waiting for my new goodies to arrive (New In Colours etc)... yep been procrastinating about that too... so I thought I'd use up some of my old (you know the three day retired OLD goodies!!) hahaha. I've used Soft Sky, Blue Bayou and Falls Flowers DSP. Some Soft Sky Ribbon and my fave and RETIRED too Bodacious Bouquet Stamp.

Well I hope you like it.. maybe a cup of Milo and some Chocolate will change my mind and I'll like it a bit more.

Be back soon.. Thanks for stopping by.
