Sweet Sunday Sketch #100

Happy Sunday!!!.. It's time of course for another FABULOUS sketch from the gorgeous Karen. Today... well TODAY is Sweet Sunday Sketch #100... yep.. 100... do i hear whistles going, drums banging and see streamers exploding!!!!.. How fun!!!

Ok.. I'll calm down now.. but just a little. Today, Karen has of course given us another amazing sketch to work with.. I will admit to struggling a little with this one... but I blame that soley on ME and not the amazing Sketch ... haha...

So.. here is my card for this week:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I've used my Aviary stamp set for this one... It's such a beautiful set.. don't you think? The colour combo.. given I was struggling.. is my GO TO combo of Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette, Vanilla and a touch of Riding Hood Red thrown in for good measure.. oh let's not forget the Chocolate.. there is Chocolate on there too.. haha.

I stamped the cage in Choc Chip Ink and then the cute owl in Pink Pirouette.. he is there.. I promise.. perhaps I should've gone a shade darker so as to not cause multiple eye strains!!!... oops.

To add a little oomph.. i added some Pearls to the top of the cage and also just to finish the whole thing off around the circle. Oh... oh.. and also a little glimmer by the form of some Dazzling Diamonds around the Chocolate border of the main image panel.

A little sad news today too.... Today is going to be the Lovely Laura's last day with the Sweet Sunday Stampers.... *Sniff*  I've loved working along side Laura.. her cards, her style, and HER.. always amazing, gorgeous and inspiring. Be sure to pop on over and give her LOTS of love today... she will be missed!!

Australian Flood Appeal!!... Won't you help too?

Have I mentioned before how much I LOVE being a part of such an amazing, wonderful and GENEROUS company... Stampin' Up!... well just in case you've missed it before.. I LOVE it!!!

Always in a time of need SU! come to the party and help it's demonstrators in what ever way they can.. and of course they've done it again!!.. Read on for all the details.

From the Demonstrator Website:-

As flood waters continue to inundate Australia in what has been described as the worst flooding in 37 years, we express our deepest sympathies to those who have lost loved ones and homes and to those whose lives have been changed forever. We, like so many of you, feel a compelling need to lend support to all those who have been affected.
Stampin' Up! demonstrators have a long history of making a difference in the lives of others--especially when disaster strikes and the need is greatest. Nearly two years ago, we watched another tragedy unfold in Australia. Our hearts were touched as demonstrators, customers and friends joined together in support of the Bushfire Appeal. We've done it before and we can certainly do it again!
Please join with us by supporting the Australia Flood Appeal--a cause in which Stampin' Up! will donate $2 AUD of the retail value of sales from any stamp set (with a retail value of $30 or more) sold in Australia and New Zealand from 15 January through 15 February to the State Emergency Services in Queensland.

If you've had your eye on a stamp set or TWO then now is the time to get them and in the process help out some amazingly strong and amazing Australians in their time of need.

Check out the online catties either -->HERE <-- or the Mini -->HERE <-- and then email me and I'll place your order for you.

I know TOGETHER we can help make this tragic time a little easier.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #99

Happy Sunday!!.. I'm SO sorry for being SOOOO late with my post, but it's all done now and ready to show.

It seems like FOREVER since I've stamped and/or blogged... probably because I've been hiding away in Kalbarri with my beautiful family and gorgeous friends for the past two weeks... SUN, Beaches, RELAXING.. did I say RELAXING!!!!. I had an AMAZING time... but am glad to be home and stamping again :D.

So here is my card for this week:-

And here is the gorgeous sketch:-

I seriously thought I'd forgotten what to do with all things stamps, ink and paper... so I fumbled though this one. I decided it was time to use my cute little Owl punch... and my little Jorja assures me that he or in this case 'she' is AWESOME!!! her words not mine.. hahaha

I couldn't figure out where to put a sentiment without completely messing it up.. so I opted for the save route and left it off... gotta love a multi purpose card .. Right?!

Before I go I thought I'd show you a quick pic of my beautiful family while on holiday... it's one of my FAVES.. of course I'm taking the photo so I'm not in it.. hahaha.. that's cool though.. Right?! hahaha
