Sweet Sunday Sketch #50

Merry Christmas!!!! I hope you all had a fabulous day celebrating with your loved ones and of course enjoyed a little pressie or two from Santa.

The lovely Karen, even through the Christmas madness, has managed to give us a GORGEOUS sketch to play with this week. I had fun with this one... and it gave me an excuse to use my BRAND NEW just out of the packed "Apron Lace Punch"....ooooohhhhh... it's a BIT nice isn't it!!!!

Oki.... here is my card for this week:-

And here is Karen's sketch:-

I've used one of my fave combos, Vanilla, Cocoa and PINK..... ooohhh look here.. no KRAFT, not even an speckle of it... goodness, perhaps I've had too much Christmas goodness.. hahaha.

I started out with Vanilla as my base then added some Cocoa cardstock which was the first piece of card cut using my NEW punch (can you tell I was a little excited about getting this one!!!) to that I added some of my delicious EXTRA WIDE Pink Pirouette ribbon and then a little more pink in the form of Regal Rose Wide Grosgrain. The main image is stamped on Vanilla and I've used my new Butterfly Prints for this one. The Butterfly is stamped in Regal Rose and then punched out using my NEW Butterfly punch, I then softened it just a tad by sponging some cocoa around the edges (cocoa in the ink form not the chocolate drink form.. which would've been quite possible given I'd just made some Bailey's Chocolate Balls before hand!! hahaha) I then stamped the sentiment from the same set using my Regal Rose marker I coloured in the LOVE then used my Cocoa inkpad for the rest of it. The Butterfly is popped up on some dimensionals and a I added a little bit of PINK bling to her too.

So there you go. Be sure to pop on over to the other Sweet Sunday Stampers, wish them a MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS and see what amazing creations they've come up with too:-

and of course KAREN GIRON

And of course, be sure to link your card to Mr Linky on Karen's blog so we can all have a looksie too.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I'll be back soon to show you what Santa brought me this year... oooh I must've been a Good Girl!!!

My Chrissy Cards!!!!

Hello There!!!

I know, I know... It's only Monday and I've got a post ready for you. hahaha.

I've actually been meaning to post these cards for a while, but with going away, coming home, having a sick little poppet, organising a 3rd Birthday, finishing my Christmas shopping, ACTUALLY posting my Christmas cards... I kinda ran out of time... BUT I'm here to show them now. hahah

The first two are the ones that I MASS produced and sent out as my Chrissy Card for this year, the others are ones that I made when I was deciding which ones to send, and have actually already found themselves a new home... is it just me, or do you always need MORE cards than you first anticipated. hahaha.

So which one is your FAVE?

All that's left to do now is wrap up all the pressies... I can't actually wait for Christmas Day... sitting, eating and spending it with my GORGEOUS family.

sweet sunday sketch #49

Hello.... Hello... HELLO!!!!

I hope you haven't all given up on me!!! I'm sorry for the quiteness here lately... BUT... I've been away on holiday to Hamilton Island for 10 days... my gorgeous girlfriend Bec got married over there and I was honoured to be one of her Bridesmaids. We had such a wonderful time it was SO relaxing, and I seriously wished we could've stayed away for a little longer. My two little poppets had a BLAST, swimming in the pool and at the beach everyday... i must admit to being quite envious of Jorja's new tan... she get's that from her Daddy!!! I'll post some pics soon... I just have to wait for the newly weds to return so I can get my camera back off them... YEP... they FORGOT their camera, so we left ours with them for the rest of their time.. oh yes.. they toodled off to Daydream Island for a few nights... lucky things!!!

Now... for the reason you are here, to check out what the gorgeous Karen has come up with this week for the Sweet Sunday Sketch!!... I'm SO glad to be back, I REALLy missed not playing along, and it was a little sad, given that the two sketches I missed while I was away are in fact the VERY FIRST Sweet Sunday Sketches I've missed.... phew.. almost had a non coping moment!! hahaha.

OK.. here is my card for this week:-

And here is the sketch that Karen has given us to play with:-

You'll notice that my card has pretty much NO stamping on it... UM.. well, apart from the blue panel, and on that I used my Nursery Letters Jumbo Wheel (for the very first time!!!). Everything else on this one is from the Rock-a-Bye Boy Simply Scrappin' Kit.

Be sure to pop on over to the other Sweet Sunday Stamper's for some AMAZING inspiration:-

and of course KAREN GIRON

And don't forget to link your creation to Karen's blog so we can all see what you've come up with.

I would like to wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS wherever you may be. I'm sure it's going to be a stinkin' hot one here in OZ.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

We've just returned from 10 days on Hamilton Island and as you can imagine... the unpacking, cleaning up and washing cycle has begun, add to that madness I still have to organise Jorja's 3rd Birthday for Sunday, get the Christmas tree up and all the pressies wrapped.

I PROMISE I'll be back soon with some new stamping goodness to share.

sweet sunday sketch #46

Happy, Happy Sunday!!! Gotta LOVE Sunday's and you've just GOTTA love Karen's gorgeous Sweet Sunday Sketch!!! This week Karen has set us a really FUN one, so be sure to have a play.

Here is my card for this weeks sketch:-

And here is the gorgeous Sketch:-

I REALLY enjoyed working with this one. I thought I'd go with another Chrissy card. I've been BUSY, BUSY, BUSY this past week making all of my Chrissy cards, which I'll post soon, and thought an extra couple of cards wont go a stray that's for sure.

I started out with some Choc Chip and created my own background by using the small Poinsettia stamp from my Season of Joy set. I then added a layer of Real Red and some Ski Slope DSP. Be quick though if you want some of this DELICIOUS DSP because as of Tuesday, you won't be able to get it anymore, so let me know if you need some to finish of those last minute Chrissy cards. I then used my Circle Scissors... LOVING this little toy!!!... and my new 1¾" Circle punch and on the white circle stamped JOY from the large stamp in Season of Joy in Choc Chip then restamped the snowflake in Baja Breeze added a "Glue Dot laiden, Dazzling Diamond plonked" brad to the centre and popped it up on a dimensional. (GOSH... how was that for a mouthful!!!) I also stamped one of the small Poinsettia's from the same large stamp and "dunked" that into some "sparkly fun" and added it just above the 'J'. I also added a touch of sponging around the edges of the circles just to soften them a little and to finish it off some Old Olive Ribbon.

Be sure to pop on over and visit the other Sweet Sunday Stamper's for some gorgeous card samples too:-

And don't forget to link your card to Mr Linky over at Karen's blog so we can all see what you've created.

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #16

Happy Friday!!!! WOW is it just me or did this week absolutely FLY by... well ok... they all seem to be melding into ONE... well for me!!!!

This week Keesh has set us a Colour Challenge to work with... FUN!!! Now the colours that she has chosen are not generally colours I use... you know I tend to sway towards, PINK, Green and Choc Chip, oh and lets not forget KRAFT!! Well I can assure you there are absolutely NONE of those colours in this here card. I definately had fun with it though and am pretty happy with how it turned out.

Here is the colour combo for you to play along with:-

Everytime I see a colour challenge with Taken with Teal, I almost die... why?... well because I don't actually own any ink, markers etc in that colour, I actually think I only have ONE sheet of Taken with Teal cardstock.. hmmm perhaps I should get myself a little marker!!! What do you think?

I started out with a base of Pumpkin Pie then used the other colours in the layers... Taken with Teal for the scallop, Real Red and Whisper White. Now keeping in mind I DON'T have any Taken with Teal ink in my possession, I did have a minor panic attack as to how I was going to keep the whole thing balanced, but never fear that's where my handy VERSAMARK ink comes in... see I just need to use that and stamp it onto the coloured card... Voila... instant Taken with Teal pressie!!!! hahaha. I know, it's not really rocket science is it!!! hahaha

Oh the stamp set I used is Big Bold Birthday, and the card is going to be for my gorgeous Godson for his 6th Birthday next week... It's pretty safe to assume he wont be visiting this here blog!!! Oh and given I'm the GodMa... it's ok that I added some ribbon.. he won't mind... Right!!!
With the pressies, I added a little definition by using my White Gel pen then used some linen thread to "pressify" them!!! (hmmm not actually sure that, that is a word!!!)

Don't forget to pop on over and see what the other DT gals have come up with, I'm sure they are AMAZING!!!:-

And of course leave your link on Keesh's blog so we can all see what you've come up with.

Thanks for stopping by.

sweet sunday sketch #45

Happy Sunday!!! Is it just me or are these Sundays coming around VERY VERY quickly!!! Not that I mind, I get to play with Karen's gorgeous Sketches... but seriously.... Christmas is definately sneaking up on me!!!

Back to the fabulous sketch that the lovely Karen has set for us this week. I've got to tell you the second I saw it, it did indeed let out little squeals of excitement... it's just LOVELY!.

First up, my card:-

And here is the GORGEOUS sketch to play with:-

Isn't it gorgeous. So for my card I used a colour combo of Kraft, Garden Green, Certainly Celery, Regal Rose and some Pink Pirouette. I do LOVE a good Pink and Green combo.. hahaha.
I also used my NEW Razzle Dazzle stampset, which is available (in Oz in the upcoming Summer Mini Catalogue). For the image I coloured the stamp using my Blender Pen and Markers. The scallop behind the image I made by cutting out 1" circles and adhering them to the back and then mounted that onto a Certainly Celery circle. I HAD to add some of my NEW Extra WIDE Pink Pirouette ribbon.... ooohhh it is DIVINE (that too is available in the upcoming Summer Mini) and also some Regal Rose Wide Grosgrain. The sentiment is from my Hostess Set Best Yet and is stamped in Garden Green.

Be sure to pop on over to the other Sweet Sunday Stamper's blogs for some amazing inspiration:-

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #16

It's Friday...ALREADY!!!!! I was thinking that after the Mad Hatter's Hen's Party, my weeks might slow down a wee bit... NOPE... I think they're about to get a whole lot busier. I've got to get ALL of my Chrissy shopping done, plus Jorja's 3rd Birthday party organised before we go to Hamilton Island in a couple of weeks, add to that numerous Bridesmaid dress fittings...ooooh la la!!!! BUT..... at least I can still sit down and make some cards... I like to call THAT time, my SANITY time!!! hahaha.

This week Keesh has got a fun Sketch for us... and you all know I LOVE a sketch.

Here is my card for this week:-

And here is the Sketch:-

I think I was VERY brave this week using one of my SCARIEST colours.... Pacific Point, and not just a little bit of it, a whole BIG bit of it!!!! oooohhh. My friends little boy is having a birthday next week, so I thought I'd use Keesh's sketch to make his card, and overcome my Pacific Point fear at the same time.

So I've started with Pacific Point then given I'm terrified of said colour, thought I may as well add a little bit more in the form of some DSP from my Good Morning Sunshine pack. Oh and some excitement... I finally got to use my BRAND NEW Circle Scissors.... yes.. I've been busily cutting out circles of all sizes, for no other reason than "because I can" hahaha. So using said NEW toy, I cut out another piece of DSP from Good Morning Sunshine, then to that added a Choc Chip Circle and a Kiwi Kiss circle (oh this one I used my NEW 1¾" circle punch)...more excitement!!! I've used my Party Hearty stamp set for this card, stamping the Celebrate You image in Kiwi Kiss then adding a Choc Chip button with some linen thread to the centre. I then inked up the Hat stamp from the same set in Choc Chip, Summer SUn and Pacific Point.

I've used two different sizes of Choc Chip ribbon for the "stripes" on the sketch and added a little piece of Hodgepodge.

mad hatters tea party!!!!

Last week, actually the last few weeks have seen me busy, busy, busy helping to plan my BEAUTIFUL friend Bec's Hens Doo. Us Bridesmaids decided to make it a "Mad Hatter's Tea Party" theme and I nominated myself to make the invitations (which I haven't photographed yet... but I will I promise!!!) and some gifties and other bit and bobs for the day. (I know... funny I should nominate me!!!) hahaha.

I made three little gifts to give as prizes on the day. First up was this sweet little box which saw in the new upcoming Summer Mini.

I used Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Choc Chip and Whisper White and the NEW stampset (also available in the Summer Mini) called Hello Again.
Inside the box were some little Note Cards and Envelopes, which I decorated with the same stamp set and some DSP from my retired stash - Summer Picnic.

The next little gift I first saw on my gorgeous friend and fellow SU! demo Sarah Klass's blog (*waving*). I absolutely LOVED making this little pressie, and will definately be making more:-

This one I've used Kraft and some Riding Hood Red DSP with some Pink Pirouette Ribbon and again the Hello Again stamp set. Inside I've popped in one of my SU! pens, a little pink Post-it note (well actually the whole pad!!! lol)... and a little SU! magnet.

The third little pressie was this gorgeous little oragami box... these are so quick and easy to make. Inside was a little gift of body cream and shower gel.

I didn't stop there though... Oh no!!! For those of you that know me, you would also know that when it comes to organising little parties and then having the chance to make little crafty things, I tend to get a wee bit excited and then can't seem to stop myself. Soooooo... given it was infact a Mad Hatters Tea Party, I went about making a few little "Eat Me" and "Drink Me" tags... and yep.. I did let out little squeals of excitement when I'd finished... I know.. It doesn't take much.

And here we are (R to L) Bec - The Beautiful Bride to Be (with the White feathers), and Kylie, myself, and Karen (The Bridesmaids).

We had such a FUN day and night!!! Now I can't wait for the wedding.. oh did I mention it was on HAMILTON ISLAND!!!!!!! Wooo Hooo!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

sweet sunday sketch #44

Happy Sunday!!!!! WOW... what a week here in the Kale' abode!!!! It's been a busy week planning and getting things ready for my gorgeous friend and Beautiful Bride to Be 'Bec's' Hen's Doo. I'll tell you all the goss about it soon..

I loved this weeks sketch from Karen as soon as I saw it.. and NO there are absolutely no crooked panels, not one!!!! Phew!!!

I've actually made a scrap page for this week, but I hope to get the chance to sit down later on during the week and make a card with the same layout.. FUN!!!!

Here's my page for this week:-

And here is the gorgeous sketch Karen gave us to work with:-

I was a BIG bit excited this week because I got to use my Brand New Circle Scissors for the very first time... well ok let me explain a little... I got to use it to DRAW my circle... you see I haven't got my glass mat just yet... should arrive this week, so I had to hand cut it, but it was very exciting to use it anyway!!!! ... yep.. doesn't take much!!! hahaha.

I've used my Scrappin' Kit - Rock-a-Bye Girl to match with other layouts I'd made for Ella's first birthday. The base is Regal Rose with some Pink Pirouette added as the first layer then I cut a circle of the heart DSP from the scrappin' kit. The strip across the bottom is Kiwi Kiss and is one of the accents from the kit, I also added a strip of Kiwi Kiss ribbon. I used one of the flower embelishments also from the kit and added a little Pink Pirouette flower from my Felt Fusion Too tin and a little rhinestone brad. The second little circle element is a little Kiwi Kiss button with some linen thread.

Inkspiration Inspiration Challenge #15

Happy Friday!!! Hope you've had a wonderful week. This has been such a BUSY week, who would've thought planning a Hen's Doo would take so long. I'll share all the details with you after the big event... just incase the Beautiful Bride to be is reading!!

Now, onto Keesh's Inkspiration Challenge for this week. Today we have and Inspiration challenge... FUN!!!!! and I can't wait to see what you all come up with for this one.

I must apologise for the picture of my card. I would have to say that this card would have to be the MOST difficult card to photograph... I really struggled to get a GOOD photo of it... so I'm SO Sorry.

Here it is:-

And here is the Inspiration picture to work with:-

Aren't they GORGEOUS.

I showed this card to my hubby wanting his "creative" opinion... dangerous sometimes.. (Sarah if you're reading I'm sure you're giggling!!).... His first words were "I actually like it" and then without even taking a breath.... "that's the darkest card you've ever made... that's going to be hard to take a photo of!!!" My response to that.... " I KNOW!!!" hahaha.

I've used Black Textured cardstock for the base and then using my Pocket Silhouettes set clear embossed the image onto it. I used one of my Square Metal edged tags with another image of the same stamp embossed with Silver this time and mounted it up on some Dimensionals. I thought I'd got for a 'non-traditional' wedding card here, and added the Mr and Mrs from Basic Phrases which was also embossed in Silver and attached using a little Rhinestone brad. To finish it off some Black Ribbon.

So what do you think... do you like my "non-traditional" Wedding card or do you prefer something a little less dark?

Don't forget to pop on over and visit the other Inkspiration DT girls blogs for some more amazing inspiration:-

sweet sunday sketch #43

Happy Sunday!!!! I'm SOOOOOO glad it's Sunday... and particularly more excited this Sunday than most... WHY I hear you ask.... well not only is it Sweet Sunday Sketch time, BUT, my GORGEOUS hubby is finally back home after being away for 10days.... YAY!!!!!! I would have to say this is the longest stint he has ever been away.... I'm thinking he shouldn't do it again.. hahaha.

Anyhoo..... onto the reason you are here... Sweet Sunday Sketch!!! Karen set us a "doozy" this week... well ok, probably not for you all, but for me.... GOODNESS... I think I had about 5 attempts at this one (all of which ended up in the bin) before I came up with the one I'm about to show you!!! You're probably wondering why I had so much trouble.... well.... there is indeed a CROOKED panel on this here sketch.... my Right Angled, nice and straight card making brain went into serious panic mode... don't worry though it didn't last too long!!! hahaha. (Love Ya Karen - *waving* and *smiling*!! hahaha)

Onto the card:-

And here is Karen's tricky sketch (go on laugh at me, you know you want to... it's not that bad ... Right?... hahaha:-

I decided to keep it nice and simple given my current aversion to anything that isn't straight... perhaps I should play around with this one a little more and overcome my FEAR!!!
Sooooo...I started out with a base of Kraft card stock and added some Brilliant Blue DSP from my retired Jersy Shore pack then added a little bit of Bashful Blue Ribbon and a Brilliant Blue button... I am getting through my button collection!!!! I decided to use the hat stamp from Party Hearty and used my markers to colour them all in. I popped that onto a piece of Pumpkin Pie and distressed the edges a wee bit. So now I've actually tackled to fears in one card... A crooked card AND a BOYS card... YAY!!!!

Be sure to pop on over to the other Sweet Sunday Stamper's Blogs for some amazing inspiration:-

And don't forget to link your card to Karen's blog so we can all see what you've come up with.

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #15

Happy Friday!!!!!
It's time for another Inkspiration Challenge, this week Keesh has set a Colour challenge for us all.

Here is my card for this week:-

And here are the colours to work with:-

Oh, you may think this layout looks familar....well it is, I used the same sketch that Keesh set for us last week... I REALLY enjoyed playing with that particular sketch so I figured WHY NOT!!!

It felt a bit strange making a 'Autumn' Coloured card in Spring, but to make it a little easier, I decided it was time my little Trendy Trees came out for a play.

I've used Choc Chip as the base of the card then layered it with some Very Vanilla and some Really Rust DSP from the retired Falls Flowers pack. I then added a Choc Chip strip and a little Choc Chip Grosgrain just to give it a little texture and contrast. I used my Round Tab punch to create the large Choc Chip circle... (oh I CAN'T wait for my NEW BIG circle punch to arrive!!!..ooops Sneak Peek again!!!) Then used my Scallop circle for the Very Vanilla scallop. There is a Really Rust circle and then the little tree stamped in Really Rust with some "dabs" of Close to Cocoa (see you thought I'd forgotten Close to Cocoa didn't you!! hahaha) onto Very Vanilla. I added a little Very Vanilla ribbon embelishment to it too. Up to the top of the card .. FINALLY a use for my since retired Really Rust buttons with a little Linen Thread and the sentiment is from Basic Phrases.

Hope you like this one... perhaps if you are one of my US readers you might like to have this card for yourself.... given you are in the middle of your autumn (FALL). If you think you'd like to receive this little card then be sure to leave me a comment. I'll choose a winner next Friday!!!

Sweet Sunday Sketch #42

Happy Sunday!!!! You are going to LOVE playing along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch this week. It's a fabulous sketch, with soooooo many possibilities, so be sure to play along.

Here is my card for this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch:-

And here is the gorgeous Sketch:-

I started out with a base of Baja Breeze, mainly because it was sitting right next to me when I sat down to start making this card... Lazy huh!!! hahaha. I then added some Choc Chip ( for the scallop) and some Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose and Whisper White. The flourish is from my Season of Joy and the little flowers are from Cheep Talk, which I stamped in Regal Rose by colouring them directly with my Regal Rose Marker. I like the effect it give, a little darker on the outside with a pale centre... very pretty. I added some Certainly Celery grosgain and a Pink Pirouette flower from my Flower Fusion Too with a little Rhinestone brad to finish it off. The sentiment is from my Short and Sweet set and is stamped in Chocolate Chip.
Be sure to pop back during the week, I have the MOST BEAUTIFUL card to share with you... and NO I didn't make it, I received it in the post during the week and it REALLY made my whole week . But it deserves to be SPOTLIGHTED in it's very own post. A little part of my card was inspired from it... :o).

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #15

Happy Friday!!!! Hope you've had a fabulous week and better still have a FABULOUS weekend.

It's time for another Inskspiration Challenge, and this week we have a SKETCH.... I do LOVE a sketch!!!!!

I really, REALLY enjoyed working with the sketch that Keesh set this week. And while the temptation to pull out my beloved Circle Circus set AGAIN almost took over.. I say almost, because in fear of you all getting SICK of me using it, I opted to add an extra card to my Chrissy stash... and I'm actually really happy with the outcome. Gosh hope you like it !!! hahaha.

Ooooh and now for the great sketch:-

I actually got the inspiration for this card from and absolutely STUNNING card I saw at the Perth Regionals last week. It was one of those jaw dropping, couldn't speak for a moment moments... the creator of said card was Tina Dickman... and YAY.. Tina has now posted her gorgeous card to her blog here, so be sure to pop on over and have a look... you wont be disappointed.

I started out with a base of Kraft... (well if I wasn't using Circle Circus, I couldn't NOT use Kraft!!! hahaha) then added a layer of White and some DSP from Ski Slope (in Baja Breeze). I used some Baja Breeze Dbl Stitched Ribbon and some Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon across the middle. I stamped my Poinsettia stamp from Season of Joy in Versamark then embossed it with Whisper White embossing powder mixed with a little Dazzling Diamonds then added a Rhinestone to the centre. There is a Kiwi Kiss Circle behind it just to bring it out a little more and also a White Scallop so it didn't get lost on the background. The sentiment is from my Hostess Set "Best Yet" and I used my White Embossing powder on that too. The Brads were silver and I dabbed them in Versamark and White embossing powder to make them White!!!.

Be sure to pop on over to the other Inkspiration DT girls blogs for some more AMAZING inspiration:-

and of course KEESH

And dont' forget to have a play too.... link your creation to Keesh's blog so we all can see.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

We got to make some GORGEOUS projects, which I'll share with you soon I promise... you'll just have to wait until the NEW Mini comes out.. not long to go now, but let me assure you, YOU wont be disappointed!!!!

And today... SUNDAY... and another FABULOUS Sweet Sunday Sketch. Karen has set another BEAUTIFUL sketch for us this week.

Here is my card:-

And here is our sketch:-

I LOVE making Christmas cards, and I especially LOVE making them a little differently using PINK!!!! I know I'd LOVE to receive a PINK Chrissy Card... How about you... would you LOVE a Pink Chrissy Card?

I started out with some Kraft cardstock and to that layered some Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze DSP from my Ski Slope pack. Then added another layer using Close to Cocoa and Kraft again this time creating my own background using my Season of Joy set and stamping the images in Versamark. The main image is stamped on Whisper White in Pink Pirouette. I re-stamped the small poinsettia in Regal Rose and added a little bling with Dazzling Diamonds. I also re-stamped the little snow flake in Baja Breeze and mounted that with some dimensionals.. oh and lets not forget about the other little bit of bling in the form of a pink rhinestone in the word 'season' ... did you see it? Rather than add circle to the top I used my creative license and added a Pink Pirouette bow. I don't think Karen will mind!! :o) (*smiling and waving Karen*)

Be sure to pop on over to the other Sweet Sunday Stamper gals blogs for some more amazing inspiration:-

Inkspiration Inspiration Challenge #14

Happy, Happy Friday!!!!

I'm a bit excited today, not only because it's time for Keesh's Inspiration Challenge, but because tomorrow is our SU! Regional event.... woo hoo.

I'll be sure to let you know lots of exciting news when it's all over.

Today is an Inspiration Challenge from Keesh, so be sure to play along.

Here is my card:-

And here is the Inspiration picture:-

Soooooo much possibility with this one... there's green, black, blue, kraft... all sorts.

I grabbed my main inspiration from the little cushion sitting at the front of the bed. I started my card with base of Basic Grey then layered some tempting turquoise and some Basic Grey DSP. Then added another panel of Tempting Turquoise and Basic Grey with my images stamped onto some Kraft. I used my Pocket Silouettes today (thought I'd give you all a break from my Circle Circus frenzy of late!!! hahaha), and I stamped that using my Whisper White Ink Pad. I added a little white button for some embelishment. The sentiment is layered in the same way as the rest of the card and I used my Basic Phrases again stamped in Whisper White for that, oh and added a little ribbon tag using my Kraft taffeta ribbon.

Be sure to pop on over to the other amazing Design Team Gals blogs for some more GORGEOUS inspiration:-

I've been meaning to share this Scrap Page I made with you all week. FINALLY I've remembered to sit down and post it for you.

This is my GORGEOUS Jorja....playing outside in the SPRING sunshine. I just adore this photo... I guess it's safe to say I pretty much ADORE all the photos of my beautiful girls. She just looks so sweet AND cheeky don't you think.

I've used my retired Simply Scrappin Kit - Crew Girls for this... and it is to be a part of her scrap album which is coming along VERY VERY slowly. LOL.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #39

Happy Sunday!!!! Hope you've been enjoying your weekend. We've had a lovely weekend. Lastnight I went to the John Farnham concert with my Mum.... WOW... it was AWESOME... YES I am a PROUD John Farnham fan!! :o)

The lovely Karen has set an AWESOME sketch for us this week... I REALLY, REALLY enjoyed working with this one, and will definately be using it again... SO much fun.

Here is my card:-

And here is the wonderful sketch:-

Cool huh?.

When I first saw it I had a "minor" panic attack (Please don't panic Karen... waving!!!) only because I didn't have ANY oval templates... I KNOW... *GASP*... but you may have noticed I said 'didn't' ... because... I went out and got me a little template sheet so that can cut a proper oval as opposed to attempting to create one with random object on my craft desk...hahaha... albeit amusing to picture it... I've opted for simplicity this time... hahahah.

I chose one of my FAVOURITE colour combos for this week, Choc Chip, Regal Rose (well any PINK for that matter), Certainly Celery and of course KRAFT!!!.

I created my own background on the Regal Rose using the little flower from Cheep Talk stamped in Regal Rose then used my White Gel pen to brighten up the centres. The bottom layer, I stamped the little heart from Cheep Talk in Certainly Celery. I stamped the large flower from Cheep talk in Regal Rose, stamped off once onto Vanilla card and added a Pink Rhinestone to the centre then stamped my sentiment from Best Yet in Choc Chip. The edges of the Vanilla oval and the Kraft section have been sponged in Choc Chip to add a little dimension. Oh and the scallop edge around my Oval was created by using my Scallop Oval punch... I haven't got a LARGE scallop (Oval) template just yet.... on my wish list hahahha, so had to get a little bit creative with that bit. ;o)
Oh and I mustn't forget the CHoc Chip Ribbon just to finish it all off.

Hope you like this one, and be sure to pop on over to the other Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs for some more AMAZING inspiration:-

And don't forget to have a little play too... all you need to do is create a card using the sketch as your guide then leave a link to your card on Mr Linky on Karen's Blog for us all to see. FUN!!!!

Thanks for stopping by.
