Sweet Sunday Sketch #300 - Farewell!!!
Happy Sunday! It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! All the details are over on the Sweet Sunday Sketch blog. I do hope you'll join us!
I've been sitting in front of my computer for hours trying to figure out what to write for this post... I've been a member of the Sweet Sunday Stampers since the 20th September, 2009!! My goodness.... 6yrs!!!! This could get a little soppy, so please, bear with me!
I have truly LOVED every moment and each and every week of hanging out with the GORGEOUS and AMAZING bunch of ladies that have made up the Sweet Sunday Stamper team of the years...and to this day have always pinched myself and wondered why and how I was so lucky to stamp alongside such DIVINE and TALENTED ladies.,... I mean seriously, have you seen their cards!!! After nearly 7 years, our gorgeous leader, Karen, whom I am honoured and delighted to call one of my dearest friends has decided that the Sweet Sunday Sketch has come to an end.... SNIFF!!!! As I'm sure you're all aware, sometimes LIFE just takes over... and I can also say, that over the past year or so.. LIFE has definitely gotten in the way of my stampin' time!
My style has changed oh so much since my first Sweet Sunday Sketch entry... HERE!! and my first Sweet Sunday Stamper entry HERE!!! Goodness.. HUGE changes! The ladies, the camaraderie and let's not forget a team of stampin' ladies where THREE of us have the SAME birthday.. YUP the exact same day!!!! Seriously.. where does that happen!!! have been absolutely AMAZING... Even the constant debates on whether WONKY panels on cards were actually allowable on any of the sketches!!... (VICKI!!!) hahaha... actually... I think, Vicki may have even turned my opinion of them... a little!
I feel like I've known these gorgeous gals for ever, even though I've only ever been lucky enough to meet one of them in real life... a moment I still hold dear to my heart! I hope that one day in the future, I'll get to meet the rest of them.... it's such a shame AUstralia is SOOOOO far away!!!
We've had a ball an I'm sure each and everyone of us has gone all out on today's sketch!... Soooo... here is mine...
And the FINAL sketch for you to play along with:-
I do hope you'll all jump on board and play along on this very last Sweet Sunday Sketch!!! I'm quietly hoping, we might be able to have a little Sweet Sunday Sketch Reunion down the track!!! That would be fun!!
Thanks for stopping by.

I've gone for a little non traditional coloured Christmas card today! I thought I'd branch out this year and change up our Christmas Theme here at Casa Kalé, and go for Pink (Blushing Bride), Blue ( Pool Party) and Gold (Glimmer Paper) this year. Our family tree will be filled with all different kinds of ornaments in all different kinds of colours... my girls get to choose a new ornament each year, and the only pattern I see emerging is that it is a different colour every year! Soooo.... the colour theme will be reserved for our family meal... FUN, right!?
I've used Home for Christmas DSP... LOVE this DSP... actually I think it's my current FAVE!, Very Vanilla cardstock, Blushing Bride... there is a little sneak peek of some NEW ribbon that will be arriving in the new Occasions Catalogue soon... it's GORGEOUS.. REALLY GORGEOUS! Gold Glimmer Paper and some gold cord. The word JOY is from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies.
Please stop by the Sweet Sunday Sketch blog and find out all the details for this sketch, while you're there you can add your very own creation to the Inlinkz too!

My card today is for a little girl in my daughter's class, who has just become a big sister! I'm guessing you can tell by all the PINK in this one, that it was a beautiful baby girl!.
I've used Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride and Rose Red as my colour choice today and also added some Typeset Specialty DSP and the GORGEOUS little deer is from the equally gorgeous Home for Christmas DSP, which is available in the current Occasions Catalogue, which doesn't just have to be limited to Christmas, as you can see in this card! :D
I added some Doily, some gorgeous Vintage Lace, Linen Thread and some Blushing Bride Sequin trim to finish it off.

just because... Sweet Sunday Sketch #291
Happy Sunday! It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! All the details are over on the Sweet Sunday Sketch blog. Join us, and perhaps you could be our SPOTLIGHT designer for the week!!!
Here is my card for this week's sketch:-
I've gone a little out of my comfort zone with this colour combo... using Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow and Basic Gray!... Goodness... I may need a little lie down after this!!! ;-)
I added some burlap and some linen thread to give it a little more "SJness" about it, given the boldness of all the colours... It needed a little toning down.. well to me anyway!
I've also used my Butterfly Basics stamp set and the coordinating Butterfly Thinlits. The sentiment is from A DOzen Thoughts.

This card was pretty quick and easy, and... can you believe not one bit of stampin'!? Not one! GASP!! I've used the gorgeous English Garden DSP and pulled my colour combo from that, so ... Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake and did I mention Blushing Bride!? ;-)
I've also used the Expressions Natural Elements and Blushing Bride Sequin Trim.

Seriously, how DIVINE is this GORGEOUS Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper!? It's SOOO divine and in my honest opinion, you NEED to have some! I've teamed it with some Crumb Cake card stock and some EQUALLY divine Very Vanilla Subtle Stripes Satin RIbbon ( it ties THE BEST BOWS... just sayin' ). The little Santa has been cut out from a piece of the aforementioned DIVINE DSP and I've used the VERY cute Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies for the sentiment. Quick, simple and amazingly easy for a bulk lot of Chrissy cards!.
