Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #20
I can NOT believe it!!!! I know... sounds like I've been watching the Little Einsteins doesn't it? hahaha. Well I have, but I am already digressing!!!! What I can't actually believe is that it is already Sunday, which means time for another LOVELY Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, but also that I have made my card ALREADY!!!! (Waving at you Karen, with a BIG smile too!!! hahahaha - aren't you proud of me?? )
I decided that this week I was going to go with my instinct and pick up some PINK and some Close to Cocoa and go from there... I can't really go wrong with Pink, and I just wanted to make a card and not stare at it for the next hour or so deciding if I liked it or not, and worrying that my lovely blogging buddies mightn't like it either (*wink*) - Shell you know what I'm talking about huh!!!! hahaha.
So here is my sweet little card:-
Oh and I mustn't forget to show you the lovely sketch Karen has given us to play with this week.
Like I said I started with a base of Close to Cocoa, then used some Pink Pirouette and some of the absolutely divine Candy Lane DSP...YUMMY!!!!! There are is another layer of Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red and Very Vanilla, which has the sentiment from Best Yet stamped in Riding Hood Red and an image from the lovely Pocket Silhouettes stamped in Pink Pirouette behind it. I added a little button from Button Bouquet just to finish it off.
A nice quick and simple card tonight.... sometimes quick and simple is just the BEST way to go, don't you think?
Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Bec!!!
My Beautiful Friend Bec celebrated her birthday yesterday!!!! Happy Happy Birthday Bec. I'm meeting up with her on Sunday for a girlie Brekkie...oooh can't wait for that! And I think it's pretty safe to put her card up now. If she decides to take a peek over here then SUPRISE!!!!
I've once again been inspired by the lovely Karen and this gorgeous card she made during the week. Don't you just LOVE that layout. Fabulous!!!
I feel like I haven't been making enough PINK cards lately so I went all out here. I started with the lovely Pink Pirouette and added some Regal Rose and Baja Breeze. The little pieces on top are Baja Breeze with some Basic Grey DSP. The scallop is in Regal Rose and I've used my Cheep Talk Set with the bird stamped in Pink Pirouette and the branch in Regal Rose with some Rose Red outline and the little flowers in Baja Breeze. A splash of Pink Pirouette Ribbon and all finished. Oh and just in case you didn't notice, I went a little bit crazy with my brads, before I'd actually realised that the sketch only had 4 brads in total, I'd already put 4 brads on each section..... oooops!!!!
Thanks for stopping by.

An Inkspiration Sketch & A Shell Colour Challenge!!!
I've managed to combine a few needs with this card, first up it's the sketch challenge from the Lovely Keesh, secondly it's a colour combo for my lovely Blogging Buddy Shell and thirdly it's a card for my soon to be 'nephew'.... oooh how exciting!!!!
So, first up here is the sketch that Keesh has set for her Inkspiration Challenge this week:-
And let me tell you... the urge to pick up my Trendy Trees set was HUGE!!!!, but I was strong, strong STRONG and picked up my Nursery Necessities instead!!!!
The colour combo for the lovely Shell is Baja Breeze, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Whisper White and a bit of Baja Breeze DSP too!!!
And now, here's the card:-
I started out with a base of Baja Breeze, then added a layer of So Saffron and some Baja Breeze DSP to that then I've got the middle section with some more So Saffron and some Certainly Celery, with a bit of Baja Breeze Ribbon. The moon is stamped in So Saffron, the star in Certainly Celery and I've put some extra Baja Breeze DSP behind them both. My scallop.... well my scallop around the moon was created by cutting a few Scallop Circles then cutting them so that I could create a Scallop large enough to fit around the circle. That's all popped up on some dimensionals and then I added the sentiment in Certainly Celery with a little So Saffron layer to make it pop out a bit.
Hope you like. And Shell, hope I haven't scared you with the colour combo!!! hahaha
Thanks for stopping by.

A couple of cards!!!
Hope you are all well!!!
Well I've got a couple of cards to show you tonight. One is a card I made for a Swap for a team stamp night and the other is a card I made for a little Challenge I set myself with the lovely Karen.
First up, my cute little SWAP card (well I think it's kinda cute!!! hahaha)
This card is so quick and simple to make, I made some similar in this post. With my two little darlings and a very very busy week I needed something that I could mass produce quickly and still have it looking lovely.
I used Kraft as the base with a layer of Close to Cocoa then used Certainly Celery cut with my Scallop Square Punch and a square of Regal Rose. To that I added my little Tree from Trendy Trees stamped in Pink Pirouette and a sentiment from Basic Phrases stamped in Close to Cocoa. Popped all up on a couple of Dimensionals and all done.
This next card is the little challenge I set with Karen. Well it was a challenge indeed for me.
The deal was to use Elegant Eggplant. I've NEVER used Eggplant before... and was a bit... NO a BIG bit terrified. Karen was doing the Colour Throwdown Challenge and you can see her BEAUTIFUL card here, so I thought I'd use the same colours... it's only fair isn't it???? hahahah
I've used Barely Banana as the base and added some Brocade Blue ( actually I'm thinking this was supposed to be Bordering Blue!!! ooopsie... Sorry Karen... PLEASE forgive!!! hahaha) ok back on track, I've added some Brocade Blue DSP then some Elegant Eggplant and then a bit of Kraft. (Im not doing very well with sticking to the rules here am I???). Now considering I don't actually have an Elegant Eggplant Stamp Pad, I only have a SU! Marker Pen I needed an image that wasn't going to take a huge amount of time to colour, so I opted for Pick a Petal. I stamped the outline in Eggplant onto some of the Brocade Blue DSP then stamped the sentiment in Eggplant and Versa Mark and used some clear embossing powder. I also added a little Rhinestone Brad to the centre of the flower.
So there you go, my very first attempt with Elegant Eggplant. I think it's missing alittle something, but I'm not quite sure what yet. If I figure it out, I'll definately let you know.
Hope you like them both and thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #19
I've just been sitting here making, nope actually the phrasing should be 'TRYING to make' a card for Karen's lovely 'Sweet Sunday Sketch'.
I'm still not happy with the card I've made, and I'm afraid it could quite possibly still make it to the rubbish bin.... yep I'm that unhappy with it. However!!!!.... through fear of not actually being able to sit down and make another this week for the challenge I'm hesitantly going to show it...hhmmmm!!!... Feel free to let me know what you think... HONESTLY!!!! and please don't be suprised if you pop on back and find it missing... it may go AWOL!!! Even while I'm typing this post I'm still trying to convince myself that maybe I like it... BUT NOPE... not happening.. unfortunately.
Anyhoo... here is Karen's lovely sketch for this week:-
I'd made a card with this sketch a little while back, but I don't think I can enter into the challenge.. now that wouldn't be nice would it... hahahaha.. but the longer I type the more I'm thinking I should... hahaha...
Alrighty.... here it is:- (I'm sitting here squinting at the screen... still hoping I'm going to like it!! hahaha)
I've used Old Olive, Choc chip, Tangerine Tango and Whisper White Card stock, some Bashful Blue Ribbon and the Nursery Necessities stamp set.
Maybe tomorrow I'll wake up and it will look different... I'm thinking not, and quite possibly it will be gone, gone, gone.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope I haven't scared you off. hahaha.

Thinking Trendy!!!
You have to go over to the lovely and amazingly talented Karen's Blog and check out her absolutely GORGEOUS, STUNNING and FABULOUS card!!!!! Oh my goodness... the minute... nope the second I saw this card, I just... well I'm still speechless and I still have to sneak on over to her place to have another looksie. Did you see the Bow... isn't it just the most perfect little bow you've ever seen??? Even more amazing is that while Karen was tying said bow she was actually chatting with me at the same time... I told you she was clever!!! (Hello there Karen... I'm waving at you.. haha)
I loved this card soooo much that I told Karen I was definately going to have to CASE it... well I did, But I also told her that I'd do it in a different colour scheme... and I did that too... so do you want to see what I did? By no means is it anywhere near as lovely as Karen's but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I mean, how can you go wrong with such a LOVELY stamp set like Trendy Trees. It's by far one of my most favourite sets.
Ok... well here it is:-
I've used Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery and Garden Green as my colour scheme. Let me begin by saying that I have NEVER used Apricot Appeal or Garden Green before, so if nothing else, I'm very proud of myself for that. hahaha.
The row of trees is stamped in Regal Rose and Pink Pirouette and the sentiment also from Trendy Trees is in Close to Cocoa. I used some delicious Regal Rose Wide Grosgrain Ribbon and tied my own Bow, again, doesn't even come close to Karen's little bundle of 'bow perfection' but not too bad considering my game of netball today saw me end up with not only an extremely sore hip but a lovely cork to my calf, so sitting is somewhat painful, and tying a bow... well that can be even more painful!!! hahaha. Sorry I am digressing,.. the button is from the Buttons Latte collection. The row of trees on the bottom of the card are stamped in Regal Rose.
I hope you like it and I'm sure you will just ADORE Karen's version. It truly is Perfection!!!
Thanks for dropping by and I'll be back soon with more.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #18 - Friend to Friend
I have to say it is just as well that Karen is a day behind me here in Aus!!!! I seriously didn't think I was going to get this done this week... but I've managed to somehow escape from my little darlings for a short moment to get a card done for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch!!! Phew.
Here is the 'Sweet' sketch we had to play with this week:-
And here is my card:-
I've used Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose and Baja Breeze... I was SOOOOO tempted to go with Certainly Celery, but figured you've probably all seen enough of that combo for a while so went for the Blue instead.. hahaha. Please let me know if you haven't seen enough of one of my FAVE combos... and I'll get right back onto using it again for you... hahaha.
I honestly had NO idea what I was going to do with this card... NONE at all. All I knew is that I needed it to be super quick, because at any moment I'd have both darlings sitting on my knee again, and let me tell ya... stamping with a two year old and a 7mth old on your knee is... well I think you know where I'm going!!! hahaha.
I ended up using the flourish from my Seasons of Joy set and the little flower from my Cheep Talk Set, oh and the sentiment is from my Pocket Silhouette set. I've used Baha Breeze for the flourish and Regal Rose and Pink Pirouette for the flowers. The sentiment is in Regal Rose too. I finished it off with some paper piercing around the edge.
All in all a pretty quick card.
Hope you like. And I'll hopefully get some more time tomorrow to make some more goodies to share with you.
Thanks for stopping by.

Stamp-A-Stack Creations!!!!
Last night my 'tiny' dining table was squished FULL of lovely lovely ladies all there to Stamp up a Storm. It was our regular 'Stamp-a-Stack' night. I'd been asked by the lovely Sammy (HELLOOOOOO Sammy!!!!) to come up with 'Occassions' cards. Now let me tell you, under normal circumstances I'd come up with a whole collection of cards that could be used for any occassion, but with the 'Occassions' title, my brain seemed to turn to mush and I had a few moments of 'What on earth am I going to do!!!!'. Never fear though, my stamping brain FINALLY returned, after copious amounts of Milo and Chocolate and here are the cards we all made.
Of course you've already seen the first two on this post here, one for 'CONGRATS' and the other for perhaps a House Warming.
The girls wanted occassions such as Wedding, Engagement, Sympathy, Get Well, Good Luck.
Here is the one I came up with for the Wedding/Engagement Card:-
It's quite similar to this one I made a little while ago, but I got the idea of using Boho Backgrounds from here.
This one I came up with to use for a Get Well or Good Luck (really any occassion is good for this one), It's nice and bright and I used Cameo Coral... WOW, been wanting to tackle my fear of this colour for a long time... I'm quite proud of myself. hahaha You may have seen this card before on my blog in different colours here.
This next one I had 'Sympathy' card in mind when I came up with it, but again, it can be used for any occassion.
So there you go, hope you like them, the lovely ladies last night assurred me that they enjoyed making all of them.
Thanks for stopping by.

A Little Sneaky Peak!!!
WOW... Sunday already!!! Where did the weekend go. Oh I know... Swimming for Miss Ella and Miss Jorja, Voting ( a tad upset about the outcome :o( ), Netball (which I'm still trying to recover from!!!), A BEAUTIFUL dinner with gorgeous friends, a trip to the Zoo in the Beautiful Sunshine and sitting down finally to make a couple of cards!!!!!
I've got a room a group of LOVELY ladies coming to my place on Tuesday night for an 'Occasions' Themed Stamp-a-Stack!!!! What to make... that is the question I've been twiddling my thumbs over for a week now!!!!!
I wanted to make the cards nice and simple but versatile so that my lovely group of stampers can actually get home to bed at a respectable hour. FINALLY, I had a breakthrough and came up with a couple, so I'll share just a few with you now... I can't be giving away ALL the cards we'll be making...hahaha.
I've used the same Layout here to create two quite different cards, for two different occasions, a 'Congratulations' card and a card that I thought would be suitable for perhaps a 'House Warming'. I've left the sentiment on this one as 'For You' that way it can still be used if the event of a House Warming shouldn't come up. hahaha.
Both cards I've used Kraft as the Base of the Card with a layer of Chocolate Chip. The I've punched out a Scallop Square of Bashful Blue and a Square of Pumpkin Pie, oh and lets not forget the little extra strip of Kraft too.... Poor little strip nearly got forgotten about!!! haha.
For the Congrats card, I've just punched out a Star in Old Olive and then stamped the sentiment in Choc Chip onto some Very Vanilla Cardstock and attached it with a little silver brad. On the For You (House Warming) card, I've stamped a little tree in Old Olive and Choc Chip and the sentiment in Choc Chip onto Very Vanilla and attached them with some Dimensionals.
So there you have TWO cards, TWO different Occasions, but ONE layout.
HOpe you like it.
Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #17 - Hi There!
Ooooh it's Sunday, which means it's time for Karen's lovely Sweet Sunday Sketch. I've had the loveliest day today... being Mother's Day my little darlings with the help of their gorgeous Daddy have spoilt me rotten. I do indeed LOVE being a Mummy! And I hope all the lovely Mummy's out there have had a wonderful day too.
Yet another fabulous sketch from Karen to work with, and here it is:-
Here's my card... and I'm so quick off the mark with this one, Karen might actually faint!!!... (Please don't though!!! hahaha) - I usually leave it until Wednesday night to get it finished you see. :o)
I've used the colour combo of Pretty in Pink, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red and Very Vanilla (I'm assured by my SU! Colour Chart that it all goes together.
The stamp set I used is Cheep Talk and I've added some of the lovely Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon and a Button Bouquet Riding Hood Red button AND a bit of bling with some Rhinestone brads.. ( I just couldn't help myself!!!)
Hope you like. I'll be back soon with some more goodies.
Thanks for stopping by.

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge - LOVE YOU
I LOVE the new stamp set Trendy Trees, and when I saw Keesh's Inkspiration Challenge this week, I knew I HAD to use it for my card.
Here is the sketch that Keesh has set for us to use:-
And here is my card.
I've used Pink Pirouette as the base and layered it with some Regal Rose DSP (from the Hostess Set - Pattern Pack II), then on to that another layer of Pink Pirouette and Whisper White. Across the centre I've used Rose Red 1" Double Stitched Grosgrain and Certainly Celery Wide Grosgrain.
The Trees are stamped in Certainly Celery and Pink Pirouette with the trunks being in Close to Cocoa, and the sentiment 'Love You' is from Short and Sweet and stamped in Regal Rose.
I've done some piercing around the Whisper White cardstock just to finish it off an added a little Certainly Celery Brad to the pink tree.
I hope you like it. I'm giving it to my BEAUTIFUL Mum for Mother's Day tomorrow. And I think the sentiment fits perfectly... because I do indeed LOVE my MUM!!!!
Here's a little piccy of the two of us!!!!
Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mummys out there too.
Thanks for stopping by.

Cupcakes!
I figured that because the majority of my cards lately have had little or heaven forbid NO Pink in them at all *gasp*, that it was about time I went on a little PINK frenzy!!!. And what better challenge to do that with than one of Taylor's Cupcake Challenges.
I've used this sketch of Taylors to create my card, which is full of Cupcake PINKNESS!!!
I used Rose Red as the base with a layer of Regal Rose and some Pink Pirouette DSP, then added a layer of Close to Cocoa (All cupcakes need some chockie don't they??? hahha) and some Very Vanilla. The images is from Big Bold Birthday and I've stamped the cupcake base in Close to Cocoa and the cupcake top in Pink Pirouette, and outlined it before I stamped with my Regal Rose marker. I used the same method for the little flower which is stamped in Regal rose with a Rose Red outline and attached with a lovely Rhinestone Brad, the candle is stamped in Rose Red and the flame in So Saffron and that's been dunked in some Dazzling Diamonds, and all popped up on some Dimensionals.
In the corner I've got a lovely assortment of Rhinestones, Felt Fusion and little flower goodness.
The sentiment on the bottom is from the Hostess Set Sweet Little Sentiments and I used Close to Cocoa and my Regal Rose Marker for that one. Oh and the ribbon is Taupe, which is unfortunately retired.
So there you go my YUMMY Cupcake Challenge in all it's PINKNESS glory!!! hahaha.
Hope you like it, and thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #16 - Hello There
Sweet Sunday Sketch time again... Yay!!!!... Karen has set yet another wonderful sketch for us to play along with this week and here it is:-
This card is one of those cards that you start and have absolutely NO idea where you're going with it... and let me tell you I had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what I was doing, so I hope you like what I came up with:-
Pacific Point was the ONLY new colour that I hadn't made a card with... I find it a little ... mmmm... I'm not sure... a bit scary to work with at the moment... but never fear I'll warm to it eventually.
I used Kiwi Kiss as the little border and layered scalloped square in Choc Chip and Pacific Point on top of Kraft then used some Good Morning Sunshine DSP cut into squares on two of the scallops and the little birds from Cheep Talk stamped in Kiwi Kiss on the other two, the sentiment at the bottom is also from Cheep Talk.
So what do you think.... be honest!!!!
Be back soon... I have a Stamp-A-Stack class to get ready for tonight... which I seem to be quite organised for at the moment... I'll probably realise about 5 mins before that I've forgotten something... hopefully not!.. hahaha
Thanks for stopping by.

Trendy Trees
Just thought I'd show you a card I've made for my Stamp-a-Stack class tomorrow night... ooohh a little sneeky peeky!!!
I've used the lovely Trendy Trees stamp set... I really REALLY love this little set, it is so versatile, and I can see me getting a lot of use out of it.
Anyway... I seemed to have used every one of the NEW In-Colors except Tangerine Tango.... so without further adieu here is 'Tangerine Tango' and Trendy Trees:-
Well now you know, that I've used Tangerine Tango as the base... hahaha... I stamped the background with one of the round stamps in the set in Tangerine Tango and then layered some pieces of Very Vanilla. The Trees are stamped in Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss with the trunks being Choc Chip. The sentiment is also from the same set and stamped in Choc Chip and I've added a little bit of paper piercing underneath it, a little button and some ribbon and all done.
I've got to sort out the rest of the cards for tomorrow night, but will be back to show you what we made.
Thanks for stopping by.

Baby Shower Goodies
Hi There!!! As you probably know my sister is having her very first 'delicious' bundle of joy in June, and tomorrow I am throwing her a Baby Shower. You've probably seen the invitations I made for her here, and today I thought I'd show you a few bits and pieces I've made for the big day.

Anyhoo here are the favours I made... there are 20 odd here:-
A little close up of the Giraffe and the Lion... aren't they just the most adorable little creatures?
And here are a couple of gifts I made for prizes for some of the party games we'll play:-
A little bundle of 'Thankyou Notes and Envelopes'
And a Chip Board Journal, which I covered with some DSP and used my Cheep Talk Stamp set.
I hope the ladies coming enjoy the afternoon and those that are lucky winners like there little prizes.
Be back soon with some more, but I must go and ice my cake!!!!
