sweet sunday #54 {fabulous friend}
Happy Sunday!!!! It's time for another fabulous sketch from the lovely Karen... so hope you can play along.
I REALLY enjoyed putting this weeks card together, granted I did have to start it a couple of times but am happy to say I'm VERY happy with the end result. I hope the "FABULOUS" person it's for likes it too and it put a smile on her face!!!
So here is the card I've made for this weeks sketch:-
And here is the sketch for you to see and play along with:-
I've started out with some Pink Pirouette (i know, I know.. MORE PINK!!!) added some Rose Red DSP to that then using my Apron Lace Punch (gee, have I mentioned how much I LOVE that punch!!!) cut some Old Olive. The square panel is Baja Breeze with some Baja Breeze DSP, then I used some of my Felt Fusion flowers.. FINALLY! Am I the only crafter who gets these DELICIOUS goodies then spends the next few months just looking at them in the tins and NOT using them... Please tell me I'm not the only one!!! Ive used a Rose Red flower, layered with Pink Pirouette flower and then finished off with a Choc Chip Button. Oh and the leaves they are one of the Old Olive Felt Fusion flowers just cut to create leaves... see I did use them!!! ;o)
The sentiment is again a combination of MY handwriting for the "fabulous" part and Basic Phrases for the Friend part.
Hope you like this one. Be sure to pop on over and visit the other Sweet Sunday Stampers for some AMAZING inspiraiton, they NEVER fail to inspire:-
And don't forget to link your card to Mr Linky over at Karen's blog so we can all see what you've created.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Inkspirations Inspiration Challenge #17
Hellooooo There!!!! Well it's indeed another HOT day here in Perth... this weather is starting to get a little crazy!!!.. But given it's SO hot, it's the perfect opportunity to sit down and stamp.
This week Keesh has set us an Inspiration Challenge... always fun, and always fun to see the many different takes on it... can't wait!!!
So.. here is my card for this weeks challenge:-
And here is the Inspiration picture:-
When I looked at it, it just SCREAMED "clean and simple", so that is what I've {hopefully} achieved.
I've used Choc Chip as my base then added a panel of Confetti White which got a little trimming with my FABULOUS and FAVE tool at the moment, my Apron Lace Punch. I stamped my image on Kraft Card stock using Whisper White Ink and my Pocket Silhouette stamp. The Happy Birthday sentiment is... well the Happy is from Basic Phrases and the Birthday is from my very own hand... yep... that's my handwriting. I LOVE Dawn McVey's stamps that incorporate the printed word with a handwritten word... so I thought I'd have a little crack at it myself.
To finish it off I added some Choc Chip wide Grosgrain and a button with some linen thread.
Hope you like this and be sure to pop on over and see what the other Inkspiration DT have made for you to see, I'm sure you WONT be disappointed:-
Don't forget to link your card to Mr Linky on Keesh's blog too, so that we can all have a looksie at what you've created.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday {sprinkles} #53
Happy Happy Sunday!!!! I hope you've had a wonderful weekend.
Well today is of course Sweet Sunday Sketch time and Karen has set us yet another fabulous sketch to work with.
I had SO much fun making this card... I got to play with my BRAND NEW stamp set, which I have to say was absolutely, without a doubt, made for my Beautiful Jorja and I. If you've dropped by before you've probably heard me mention that Jorja (who is 3) and I go on little "Sprinkle Drink" dates.... SO MUCH FUN!!!! Well the minute... nope actually the SECOND I saw this I just knew I HAD to have it, should there have been any doubts in my mind this prompt reaction of "oooohhh WOW Mummy!!!... Sprinkles... (insert *gasp*.... WOW Mummy a Donut!!!" in such excitement that only a sweet three year old could portray, DEFINATELY sealed the deal.
Here is the card I've made in all it's Sweet Sunday "Sprinkle" Goodness:-
And a little close up of the little "Sprinkle Glazed" Donut!!!:-
And here is the gorgeous sketch from Karen:-
You may notice that there is NO steam coming from the little drink... well I have to admit it is quite intentional.. you see I thought it only fair I make the very first card with my FABULOUS new set for Jorja... so this is her little "Sprinkle" drink... which is usually COLD and fully of FROTHY goodness... hahaha.
I've used Riding Hood Red as the base of my card and added some Riding Hood Red DP from the Candy Lane pack. I cut some circles one in Close to Cocoa and one in some Watercolour paper. The cup image is stamped in Cocoa and then I restamped it onto some DP and paper pieced it before sticking it to the main image... oooh that was a bit exciting too... I've not done any Paper Piecing before... there's a little story in that... perhaps one I'll share another day.. I don't want to scare you all away with my crazy antics!!!..I coloured the FROTHY goodness in using my blender pens and some So Saffron ink. Now for the Donut!!!... Well watching this little delight come to life was SOOOOO much fun... (Lee!!!! Don't you think???..*waving*)... and I must admit to there being rather random and loud squeals of joy and excitement all the way!!!!. Again i stamped the image in Cocoa and then coloured the base of the donut in Creamy Caramel and the top in Regal Rose... then I used some Crystal Effects to GLAZE it and added some "Sprinkles". The sentiment is also from the Sprinkled with Love set (Taylored Expressions) and I've stamped that with Choc Chip and Regal Rose. The panel behind is Pink Pirouette and some PP DP from Candy Lane. Just to finish it off I added some Red Riding Hood Taffeta Ribbon.
This card REALLY was a DELIGHT to make, and it was even more fun showing Jorja the finished thing this morning... I must admit to getting just the reaction I was hoping for... more squeals, more WOW Mummy!!!!, and then a little " Mummy.. Jorja want to stamp!!!... Absolutely made my morning!!!
Righty... enough of my rambling... be sure to pop on over and visit the other Sweet Sunday Stampers for some more AMAZING inspiration and fabulous eye candy:-
And don't forget to link your card to Mr Linky over at Karen's blog so we can all see what you've created.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I HOPE you made it to the end of the post without banging your head on the keyboard, begging me to stop!!!...ooops there I go again.. hahaha.

A NEW year of Inkspiration Challenges!!!!
Happy Friday!!!!! Well the title says it all... Today is the FIRST Inkspiration Challenge for 2010, so I hope you can all play along, they're always SUCH fun. Today Keesh has set us a Colour Challenge, and I have to say... I was a little bit scared when I first saw the colours, not because they aren't lovely, they are SU! colours after all, BUT there is some Cameo Coral to be used, and well if you read this post, you'll know that I've been a wee bit scared of Cameo Coral, and here I am two cards in ONE week using it... I think I can almost say I've overcome my fear... hahaha.
Here is my card for this week:-
And here are the colours for you to see:-
I started out with some Very Vanilla as my base and to that added some Very Vanilla DSP from my Candy Lane stash and then sponged the edges with some Choc Chip to soften it up a wee bit. I stamped the flower from my Razzle Dazzle set on to some Choc Chip card and then used my Apron Lace punch to punch some So Saffron to make the centre piece. The Butterflies are stamped in Cameo Coral and I've sponged the edges again with some Choc Chip and added a silver brad which has been laiden with a Glue Dot and then "plonked" as the lovely Sarah once described it (*waving Sair*)... still love that term "Plonked".. oops sorry there I go digressing!!!.. ok so where was I... oh yes... the brad... it's been "plonked" into some Dazzling Diamonds. I decided it was also high time I used some of my Hodgepodge (which has since been retired), instead of just looking at it in it's tin, so I stamped my sentiment from Short and Sweet in Choc Chip onto some Vanilla card, added some sponging and secured it with some brads, also from the hodgepodge tin.... WOW, I should probably sit down for a sec, Cameo Coral and two lots of hodgepodge on the one card!!!!! hahaha. Oh and I mustn't forget the ribbon. I also added some Very Vanilla ribbon across the centre for a little dimension and then tied a Choc Chip bow before attaching the Butterflies. Ooops and almost forgot to mention the little So Saffron centres for the flowers, just to make them POP a bit.
So there you go... I hope you like this one, I'm actually really happy with how it turned out. Be sure to pop on over to the other Inkspiration DT blogs for some amazing inspiration:-
This week the whole DT will be helping Keesh choose a winner, we'll all be stopping by to have a visit and see what amazing creations you've created... I can't wait. So be sure to link your card to Mr Linky on Keesh's blog so we can all see.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
ETA... if you think you're suffering from deja vu... YOU ARE!!! hahaha... This post did go up last week... I didn't get Keesh's email about postponing the challenge...ooops... but i've got the right date today... phew!!!!

Sweet Sunday Sketch #52 and a little {embellish}
Happy Sunday!!! Hope you've had a wonderful weekend. Here in Perth it's been a VERY hot weekend... I'm thinking a little touch of rain soon might be nice, I think we're up to day 57 without any rain... come on weather man... just a drop!!!
Well I'm sure the weather report is NOT the reason you've pop on in for a visit, so I best get onto the real reason... which is the Sweet Sunday Sketch!!!!.. Loved this layout from Karen, and this week I thought I'd combine her sketch with the {embellish} colour challenge. Now, I must admit the jury is still out on this card, but here it is and I HOPE you like it:-
Here is Karen's GORGEOUS sketch:-
And here is the colour challenge from {Embellish} magazine :-
I started out with some Choc Chip as my base then layered it with some Close to Cocoa DSP, Elegant Eggplant, which is a colour I haven't actually used a lot of, thought this challenge was the PERFECT opportunity, some Almost Amethyst DSP and some Kraft card and Ribbon.
The main image is stamped onto some Kraft cardstock and I've used my Pocket Silhouette stamp set stamped in Lovely Lavender and then the sentiment stamped over the top in Elegant Eggplant. I added a couple of buttons to it and sponged the edges of the card to soften it just a tad. Oooh and I mustn't forget to mention my absolute FAVOURITE tool at the moment my APRON LACE PUNCH!!!!! (Divine.... *wink*)
And don't forget to link your card to Mr Linky over at Karen's blog so we can all see what you've created.
Want to play along with the {Embellish} magazine colour challenge then pop on over and check it out... it's really FUN!
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Kristina's Colour Challenge #57
Happy Sunday!!! Hope you've been enjoying your weekend. Today... well today here in Perth we've been given a NICE cool change... phew... it's been wee bit hot, however.... it's just a tease... this week is going to be a HOT one.
I can't even tell you how excited I was when I saw THIS Colour Inspiration Challenge from Kristina... I know, I know... it's just a one off one, but still very VERY EXCITEMENT!!!!
I thought I was going to struggle with this one, well OK I DID struggle with this one. WHY???... Well... you know how we all have some particular colours that we can never, ever, EVER seem to get to do what we want... well this here challenge had a couple of those said colours for me. One of those being Cameo Coral (*waving at ya Sair... I know you'll work wonders with it ;o)).. and More Mustard... actually Yellow.. never ever seem to get that one right.. hahaha.
Anyhoo.... never fear, I wasn't going to let my fears get the better of me, and I can quite comfortably say that I've gone HEAD FIRST with the Cameo Coral as you're about to see... forget about baby steps... this is one HUGE GIANT step!!!
Here's my card
And here is the Colour Inspiration pic that Kristina gave us.... GOtta LOVE those fabrics.:-
I've use Cameo Coral as the Base... I KNOW!!!!! then stamped my image from Framed with Love in Riding Hood Red. I added a piece of Whisper White which I punched using my FABULOUS Apron Lace Punch and added some Baja Breeze Ribbon. I made my flower using Whisper White and So Saffron and added my Mustard contribution in the form of a Button in the centre. The sentiment is from my Sweet Little Sentiment set and is stamped in Cameo Coral ( I told you!!) .
So there you go.. hope you like.
Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to pop back later for this weeks AWESOME Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample.

Here is the sample of colours for you to see:-
Absolutely GORGEOUS I might add, and for some reason I just couldn't get them to work the way I had hoped.
