sweet sunday sketch #33
Happy Monday!!!!... well it's nearly Tuesday here.... and I've got my Sweet Sunday Sketch card up before the deadline.... I know... AMAZING!!! Perhaps it was the ironing pile that gave me the inspiration.... NOT!!!! hahaha
Anyway... Karen has set yet another gorgeous sketch for us to work with this week, and here is my card:-
Oh before I show you I must warn you... there is a considerable amount of PINK!!!! I haven't been using my beloved colour much lately... not sure why, so I figured it was time to bring it back!!!! LOL
Here is Karen's lovely sketch
I used Pink Pirouette as the base then added a layer of Regal Rose and some DSP from the Candy Lane pack... (LOVE THIS pack!!) I also added some Regal Rose ribbon (DELISH!!). Now for the circles.... you don't even want to know how long I sat at my desk picking up random circle shaped objects to try and find different sizes... I really must get a circle cutter!!!!. Anyway.. the larger circle is Pink Pirouette, and the smaller one Regal rose. I've stamped the Regal Rose circle with my Fifth Ave Floral rose in Regal Rose just to create a background. Then, I stamped my Rose stamp onto some Watercolour paper in VersaMark and embossed it with White embossing powder before I coloured it in Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose using my Aqua Painter.. I added a little Regal Rose bow with some bling attached and a couple of little pink gems to the top.
Hope you like, and don't forget to have a looksie over at Karen's and have a go at her SSSC... they're so much fun!!!
Thanks for stopping by.

sweet sunday sketch #32
Why Hello There!!!!
Yep... it is indeed Sweet Sunday Sketch time again. The lovely Karen had done it again... another GORGEOUS sketch to play with.
I have decided that I've made PINKLESS cards for long enough, so be warned their could be a PINK FRENZY about to happen on this here blog... not tonight mind you, but very very soon!!!!. Just thought I'd give you all a little warning. hahaha.
My SSSC tonight is PINKLESS, but never fear I have used KRAFT!!!!
Here is my little card:-
Here is Karen's lovely sketch:-
I really needed to use up some of the paper I had lying around on my desk... and hopefully by doing so I'll actually be able to find my desk... I know it's there somewhere!!!! hahaha
I started with Kraft as my base and added a layer of Choc Chip and some Baja Breeze DSP. Then added a strip of Choc Chip with some Kraft and a bit of Choc Chip Grosgrain. I used my Scallop Square to make the frame and then stamped the little stem from Cheep Talk in some Kiwi Kiss onto Confetti White and then added some Felt Fusion Too flowers in Choc Chip and Baja Breeze, joined together with a Rhinestone brad. The sentiment is from my Basic Phrases set.
Don't forget to pop on over to Karen's gorgeous blog and have a little play.
And pop back here soon too, for some PINKNESS!! hahaha.
Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #31 - {hello there}
I can't believe another week has flown by. It's been a pretty tough week for us, but there is nothing like a Sweet Sunday Sketch to put a SMILE back on your face.
This weeks sketch is BRILLIANT!!!! I loved it the minute I saw it, and am SOOOOO glad I managed to get a chance to play... the ironing will just have to wait!!!! hahaha
So, here is my little card:-
Here is Karen's BRILLIANT sketch:-
I decided to have another crack at my current fear - Pacific Point!!!! And... am quite happy at how it all came together.
I started out with a base of Choc Chip, then added a layer of Pacific Point with some DSP from the Good Morning Sunshine pack, another layer of PP with some Summer Sun (BRIGHT!!!!) DSP, another layer with PP and some PP DSP (all the DSP is from the same Good Morning Sunshine pack) and then another layer with PP and my little birdie from the Cheep Talk set.
I realised after I'd finished stamping that I had stamped my sentiment on the main image instead of having it separately sooooo... I improvised and added a little bit of Choc Chip grosgrain instead... Please forgive Karen... SORRY!!! hahaha.
So there you go... now I really should go and tackle my ironing pile!!!!
Thanks for stopping by.

sweet sunday sketch #30
Hello There!!!!
It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch card!!!! My MOJO was MIA a wee bit this week, but I can ALWAYS count on the lovely Karen to get me going again!!!
This week I've made a miniature version of Karen's sketch. WHY???? Well.... I've been wanting to do a letter box drop around my little estate, so thought instead of just popping a gorgeous little Spring Mini in the letterbox, which I'm thinking that a few people may just ignore and pop in the bin {*GASP*}.... just keeping it real!!!! {*GASP* - again}, I would make some little cards to attach, that way there's just a little something extra to grab their attention. What do you think... sound like a good idea? Any other suggestions... PLEASE do share!!!
Anyhoo... here is my little card:-
And here is Karen's lovely sketch:-
I used Kraft (AGAIN) as my base and added some Choc Chip and Baja Breeze DSP then another layer of Kraft with some Choc Chip DSP, some Choc Chip ribbon, and little brad with a sentiment from my NEW Oval All set from the Spring Mini and a Baja Breeze Oval Scallop.
So, do you think you'd like to get a little card like this in you letter box... do let me know, so that I can either make some more OR go back to the drawing board... hahaha.
Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #29
Can you hear me panting?.... I think I may have JUST scraped in by the hair of my chinny, chin, chin with this one!!!!! Good Grief!!!! Talk about leaving it to the last second!!!!
The lovely Karen has once again set a fabulous sketch for us to play with, this week a lovely Loooonnnngggg card!!!! oooohh it's very nice and very FUN!!!!
Here is my creation:-
And here is the fabulous Karen sketch:-
Nice huh!!!!
Now by looking at this card would you believe me if I told you that I had EVERY intention of making a BOYSIE card!!!! Oh yes indeed I did!!! But, well, I guess you can see how successful I was at that. The reason... well my littlest poppet is not very well, and it would appear that she was coming down with this NASTY last night, which in turn led to her not sleeping very well, which of course meant that Mummy didn't get any sleep either..... soooooo... making something out of my comfort zone, by that I mean anything other than PINK....well kinda wasn't happening today... LOL... so I pulled out my PINK and off I went.
I started with Riding Hood Red (which I was going to use anyway if this had been my BOYSIE card) then added some Very Vanilla and a layer of Pink Pirouette DSP from the Candy Lane pack (MY FAVE!!!) . There's some more Vanilla in the form of scallops then some more Riding Hood Red which I stamped using the Branch from.... wait for it.... "Great Friend" (it's stamped in Riding Hood Red). Then I added a little more Pink DSP and another little bit of Vanilla which I'd stamped the frame from Great Friend in Close to Cocoa. The GORGEOUS Flutterby is stamped in Riding Hood Red and the entire section, each and every layer is popped up on dimensionals. The sentiment is from my Hostess set "Sweet Little Sentiments" and is stamped in Close to Cocoa onto some Vanilla and then mounted onto some Riding Hood Red and I then added a little Pink Pirouette flower from my Felt Fusion Too and a little Rhinestone Brad.
Given the night/day/night I've had I'm actually REALLY pleased with how this one turned out. THANKYOU my dear friend Karen, for providing us with such wonderful sketches each week!!!!
Hope you like this one.
Thanks for stopping by.

trendy tree {HI}
I was hoping to sit down tonight and get a bit clever and make some cards since netball training was cancelked. BUT.... my brain decided to NOT switch on so, I've pretty much been sitting here twiddling my thumbs for an hour or so. Instead of going to bed and thinking I'd totally wasted my time, I thought I'd show you a little card I made this afternoon.
It's been a little while since I used my FAVE 'Trendy Trees', so out it came. You're probably sighing with relief that I've given you a little break from Great Friend...it's only a little break though... hahaha.
I started out with Kiwi Kiss and added some Choc Chip DSP from the Good Morning Sunshine Pack... why Good Morning Sunshine and not my Choc Chip pack.... well... the GMS was sitting on my desk and I was too lazy to turn the whole 30cm to my left and find the other pack... haahahaha.
I then added some Choc Chip ribbon before I mounted my tree which is stamped onto some Very Vanilla and topped with some Choc Chip which I've cut a scalloped square out of. I added a little bit of extra ribbon and a little button too.
That's pretty much it. Hope you like.
Thanks for stopping by.

Great Friend {four}
Last night I spent making cards, chatting and consuming copious amounts of M&M's with some gorgeous gals at my Great Friend Stamp-a-Stack.
As promised here is the fourth card we made:-
This was probably my least favourite of the lot, and almost didn't make it to the table for creation, it's saving grace was that I infact ran out of time to recreate something else, but as it happens the gals LOVED it.
I used Certainly Celery as the base and then used my piercing tool to create a border around the edge. The centre is a Scallop Oval (love my new punch) in Regal Rose with a couple of silver brads and the BEAUTIFUL butterfly stamped in Pink Pirouette. That's it!!!! A very CAS card.
I have to admit my biggest struggle when creating cards for my Stamp-a-Stacks is keeping them SIMPLE. Even these were turning towards the not so simple way.... lots of cutting out you see. I can't help myself. The girls obviously don't mind, the all seem to keep coming back... hahaha. THANKS GIRLS!!!!!! Mmmwah!!!!
So, what's your biggest struggle when it comes to creating cards?
Hope you like this one too, and hopefully I'll be back soon with some more to show you, I might even give you a break from the GORGEOUS Great Friend set, just a little one though!!! hahaha.
I've had some queries about my SAS classes. If you would like to participate but don't live in the area, send me an email. You can order the goodies and I'll pop the instructions in the mail for you. Perhaps you already have the Stamp set, well no probs, for the same fee that my Gorgeous Stamping Buddies pay, I'll send you all the cardstock pre-cut and all the extra goodies you'll need to make the cards together with the instructions. INTERESTED... then Email me for all the deets.
Thanks for stopping by.

Great Friend {for you}
Hi there!!! Well, I just can't help myself and I thought I'd show you a pic of another card we will be making tonight at my Great Friends Stamp-a-Stack. Must be all this glorious sunshine we are having!!! LOL.
The layout of this card is the same as the one I made in this post, just a different colour and a different stamp set. When you find a FABULOUS layout, USE it as often as you can.
I started out with Choc Chip card then added some Baja Breeze which I scalloped, then added some Kraft ( there it is again... my current colour obsession - KRAFT!!!). I used the Branch from the Great Friend set to create a background and stamped it in Choc Chip. Then I stamped one of the frames in Choc Chip and another onto Very Vanilla and cut them out to layer them and then stamped the BEAUTIFUL butterfly in Baja Breeze. Add some Fabulous Baja Breeze wide Ribbon... (LOVE THIS) and a little sentiment and it's all done.
Hope you like this one.
Don't forget to Email me if you'd like to come to one of my Stamp-a-Stacks or if you'd like to receive my Newsletter then Email me for that too. I'll add you straight onto my list.
Have a FABULOUS day.

sneak peak {two}
Hello Again!!! Another really quick one for you today. Thought I'd share another one of the cards we will be making tomorrow night at my "Great Friend" Stamp-a-Stack. This one is actually a little CASE from the Spring Mini.... well sometimes a girl just has to CASE... Right?
Don't forget to Email me if you'd like to come to one of my Stamp-a-Stacks or if you'd like to receive my Newsletter then Email me for that too. I'll add you straight onto my list.
So here is Sneak Peak {two}:-
I've started with a base of Choc Chip then added a strip of Kiwi Kiss which I've stamped the little branch from Great Friend, across the top in Kiwi Kiss Ink. Then I added some Kiwi Kiss Ribbon. I stamped the frame from the set in Baja Breeze onto some Baja Breeze card then stamped it again onto some Whisper White in Kiwi Kiss. The sentiment is stamped in Kiwi Kiss and the little heart is from my Cheep Talk set and is stamped in Cameo Coral. That's all popped up on some dimensionals and well, that's pretty much it. Cute, simple and fast. Gotta LOVE that!!!!
Thanks for stopping by, and I'll post the other cards (when I've made them!! hahaha) after the class... better leave my lovely ladies with a couple of suprises!!!

{pink} friend
Hi there!!! Hope you've all had a WONDERFUL weekend. The weather here has been absolutely GORGEOUS, so we've all been enjoying the beautiful sunshine before it rains again.
I've just got a quick one for you tonight. I have a few Stamp-a-Stack nights planned this month and thought I'd show you one of the cards we will be making at my 'Great Friends SAS' on Tuesday night. Oh, and if you are interested in coming to one of my Stamp-a-Stack nights please just Email me and I'll send you all the information... they are such a FUN night!!!
Well here is one design I've come up with:-
I started with a base of Kraft and added a strip of Certainly Celery card stock with some Pink Pirouette Ribbon. I inked up the leaves from the 'Great Friends' set in Certainly Celery and the Butterfly is Pink Pirouette. The sentiment is stamped in Close to Cocoa. Then it is all popped up on some dimensionals. I can't help but feel that I need to add a little something extra to this just to really finish it off.... hmmmm.... perhaps a good nights sleep with lead to a resolution... do let me know if you can figure out what it is it may need. :)
Hope you like it, and I'll be back soon to show you the other cards we'll be making.
Have a wonderful day.
Thanks for stopping by.
