Travellers Inspiration {four}:-

Hello Again... yep I'm back!!!!

I missed playing with Tina's Travellers Inspiration Challenge last week (bad blogging friend... bad, bad!!!) so I vowed to NOT miss this weeks.

The Inspiration photo this week is from the very talented Savitri and this photo... Oh my!!!! Absolutely GORGEOUS. One of those pics that you look at and can feel yourself floating away in a day dream (or Night Dream - whichever time of day it is... hahaha).

This is the photo that Savitri so very kindly gave us to play along with.... GORGEOUS huh???

And here is my card:-

I've used Fall to Layout #52 for my Layout and I've actually used the 'Door' as my main inspiration, WHY??? I can hear you ask... well that unbelievably GORGEOUS big Red Bow on the wreath that is hanging on it.... YUMMY!!!!

I started with a base of Really Rust (to match the building) and then layered it with Sahara Sand, Choc Chip and Sage Shadow then I used my Circle Circus set, stamping the image in Choc Chip onto some Sahara Sand cardstock and mounting it onto a Choc Chip circle before attaching a BIG Real Red Bow, with a lovely Real Red button and some linen thread. The sentiment is from my Sweet Little Sentiments set and is stamped in Choc Chip onto Sage Shadow.

So there you go.. I hope you like it. And if you haven't played along with Tina's Travellers Inspiration Challenge...then pop on over and have a go.

Thanks for stopping by.

{friend to friend} - Inspiration Challenge

I'm so happy that I got to play along with Keesh's Inkspiration Inspiration Challenge this week.

Here's the wee card I made for it:-

And here is our inspiration picture:-

To be honest I wasn't sure where to start... should I go Grey, should I go Yellow, should I go Black... in the end I used the "rectangle cushion" - the Teal one with the White pattern on it as my main inspiration.

Soooo... I started with a base of Taken with Teal and went from there. I used a small piece of So Saffron (actually on close inspection it could quite possibly be Barely Banana) - it's the yellow bit anyway.. hahaha, and a small strip of Basic Grey DSP. I then cut a small square of Taken with Teal and stamped an image from my Pocket Silhouettes set in Whisper White and then stuck that to one of my Metal edge tags. I used some Black ribbon and then mounted the tag onto some dimensionals. I also added a little Black button and the sentiment is stamped on Taken with Teal with Whisper White.

Hope you like.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #28

It's Sweet Sunday Sketch time again and the Lovely Karen has set yet another gorgeous sketch for us to play along with.

Here is what I've come up with:-

Here is the lovely sketch:-

The minute, no actually the second I saw the sketch I got a wee bit excited... why? well because look at all those circles, and what better stamp set to use than my LOVELY Circle Circus of course. So of course I obliged with my little happy moment and out it came... Circle Circus.

I'm absolutely somewhat obsessed with using Kraft at the moment... so for those of you that visit regularly I will try to NOT use it in my next creation... TRY being the operative word... haha. So, I started with a base of KRAFT and then added a layer of Very Vanilla and some Regal Rose DSP. To that I added some Choc Chip Grosgrain in both WIDE and Thin and for the smallest circle in the sketch I used one of my ribbon sliders from my Hodgepodge Kit and threaded the ribbon through it. I must admit though the temptation to add a bow somewhere was HUGE, but I resisted temptation and remained on my CAS path. LOL.
I then used the large flower stamp from Circle Circus and stamped it in Regal Rose onto some Very Vanilla card and mounted it onto a Choc Chip Scallop with a little bling in the form of a Rhinestone brad. Then used the "damask" type circle and stamped it in Pink Pirouette before adding the outer circle in Choc Chip. The sentiment is from Basic Phrases and is stamped in Regal Rose.

Hope you like.

Thanks for stopping by and I will HOPEFULLY be back before Sunday with a few more creations. (Little People pending of course... hahaha).

xx Sarah

{friend}

Hello There!!!!! It's Sweet Sunday Sketch time again, and Karen has provided an AWESOME sketch this week... GORGEOUS. I couldn't wait to play when I saw it, and would've had a card made earlier today... BUT.... I had an awful day, so have only just managed to get one made now. Given my terrible day... my MOJO went a little AWOL too, so I made life a little easier for myself by combining Karen's gorgeous sketch with Keesh's Inkspiration Colour Combo of Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, Rose Red and Whisper White. BRILLIANT... all the hard work done for me on this one. YAY.

Here's what I came up with:-

And here's the GORGEOUS sketch Karen gave us this week:-

I will definately be using this one again.
I've been wanting to ink up my NEW 'Great Friends' set since I recieved it last week, and today was finally the day.

I started with a base of Always Artichoke then added a layer of Mellow Moss. I stamped the branch image from the set down one side in Mellow Moss and the main image stamped those branches in Artichoke. The frame is stamped in Always Artichoke onto some Whisper White and the butterfly is in Rose Red. I used the senitment from the same set, only I used my marker to colour the 'friend' only before I stamped it onto another branch, then cut it out and used a couple of dimensionals to pop it all up. I also used some Rose Red Wide Ribbon and some Mellow Moss Grosgrain.

Hope you like, and thanks for stopping by.
Hopefully my MOJO will be back in full swing tomorrow and I'll get a whole heap of stamping done.... FINGERS CROSSED.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #26

Sweet Sunday Sketch time again over at the lovely Karen's Blog... pop on over and say hi, and why not have a go at the GORGEOUS Sketch Challenge.

I've used the colour combo from the Colour Throwdown this week which was Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Kiwi Kiss and my newbie... Party Hearty stamp set to create my little card which is also going to be the birthday card for my GORGEOUS Godson Jack!!!!

Here's my creation:-

Here's Karen's fab sketch:-

I started with a base of Real Red then added some Cool Caribbean (sorry.... still don't have my Tempting Turquoise replenished!!!!), then another layer of Real Red and Whisper White which I stamped the Party Hats from Party Hearty onto in Real Red, Tempting Turquoise (yep.. I've got the ink, just not the paper!!!!) and Kiwi Kiss.

I added some Tempting Turquoise ribbon and because little Jack is only THREE he's not going to mind in the slightest that Aunty Sar put a bow on his card... hahahah. Then I added some Real Red buttons on the bottom.

Pretty simple, but kinda cute I think.

Hope you like.

Thanks for stopping by.

Traveller's Inspiration Challenge {two}:-

This weeks Traveller's Inspiration Challenge is a GORGEOUS photo that comes from Anthonette of Chavez Designs. What a beautiful photo... Thankyou Anthonette!!!!

Here is the card I came up with:-

Here is Anthonette's GORGEOUS photo:-

I drew my inspiration this week AGAIN from the colours in the photo and used Kraft, Cool Caribbean (retired) - I for some reason couldn't find my Tempting Turquoise!!! and Whisper White.

I started with a base of Kraft and then added a layer of Cool Caribbean then another strip of Kraft. I used my Pocket Silhouettes stamp... you are probably wondering WHY?... well... ok... see when I was looking at the photo I kept seeing the trees behind the building, sooooo I thought this stamp from Pocket Silhouettes kind of resembeld them!!!!... Is that too much of a strech on the creative license that Tina gives us?? hahaha. So, I stamped the image in Whisper White then added some paper piercing along the top which is from the holes in the top of the building, and then some Kraft ribbon with a piece of Square hodgepodge. The sentiment is from my Basic Phrases and is stamped in Whisper White, mounted onto some more Cool Caribbean and a little bit of Kraft Ribbon, which some more piercing underneath.

I hope you like, and if you haven't already, then pop on over to Tina's and have a play along.

Thanks for stopping by.

An {Inkspiration} Inspiration Challenge #9

Hello There!!!! I've been wanting to sit down and make a card for Keesh's Inkspiration Inspiration Challenge all week (That's actually quite a mouthful isn't it!!!! hahahaha), and I've finally managed to do so.

This weeks Keesh set an Inspiration challenge, and let me tell you... It was quite a toughy too... well for me anyway. I sat and looked at the Inspiration piccy for ages, and ages, and AGES and in the end I finally managed to come up with something:-

Here is the picture we had as our inspiration piece:-

It's a lovely picture, but I just couldn't figure out what to use and how to go about getting started. The more I looked at the picture though the more my eyes kept getting drawn toward the 'Chair' at the back of the picture and the circles in it's backrest... I know WIERD huh!!!! So that's where I started. I grabbed my Circle Circus set and stamped a background piece in Choc Chip Ink onto some Kraft cardstock, I then layered that with some Choc Chip and whisper White onto my base layer of Pink Pirouette. Then I used my NEW 'Party Hearty' set and stamped me a cupcake with Choc Chip and Pink Pirouette and added a little Choc Chip flower from my Felt Fusions Too tin. The sentiment is in Choc Chip and is from Party Heart too. Then I added a bow in some yummy Pink Pirouette ribbon and that's pretty much it.

I think I've just scraped in, in the nick of time with this one... Sorry Keesh!!!!

Hope you like. And hopefully I'll be back soon with some more MOJO and more cards to show you.

Thanks for stopping by.

sweet sunday {guest stamper}

WOW!!!! Finally I can share my "little secret".... well actually it's a BIG secret and I've been busting with excitement ever since Karen asked me if I'd like to be her 'Guest Stamper' over at her awesome Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!!!! I am so VERY honoured that she asked me to do this, afterall there are SOOOOOO many extremely talented stampers out there... I'm still a little speechless. So, once I'd picked myself up off the floor and recovered from a slight, well OK BIG panic attack, you know the kind, where I'm thinking OMGosh, what am I going to make, what if Karen doesn't like it, is it going to be WORTHY of being a 'Guest Stamper' creation, (insert slight hyperventilation here!!!).... then take a deep BREATHE.... Tell myself that I'm OK and lets get to stampin'.

If you've been visiting here for a wee while, you'll know how much I LOVE participating in Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenges... just LOVE them!!!! And if you haven't had a go, then you must pop on over to Karen's GORGEOUS blog and have a play... Trust Me.... they are heaps of fun.

So, do you want to see what I came up with and of course have a look at Karen's GORGEOUS sketch for this week???

Well OK... here it is.... my VERY FIRST Guest Stamper Card:-

And here is the fabulous sketch I had to play along with:-

I started out with a base of Pink Pirouette and then added some DSP from the Candy Lane pack to that I added a square of Riding Hood Red and some Very Vanilla which I stamped with my Fifth Avenue Floral set to create my own background in Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red. I then stamped the large Rose onto some Watercolour Paper using versamark and embossed it in White before colouring it with my Aqua Pens in Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red (to add some depth). I then cut it out and popped it up on some dimensionals.
I added a circle of Pink Pirouette and onto some Very Vanilla card stamped the sentiment in Riding Hood Red from the Hostess set 'Best Yet'. Then added some Rhinestone Brads and a bit of Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon.

Again... I am SO very honoured that Karen asked me to be her Guest Stamper this week, and I hope that I haven't scared her off in anyway!!! hahaha.
Don't forget to go on over to Karen's Blog and have a go at this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

ETA:- The link/post for this weeks SSSC seems to be hiding at Karen's Blog at the moment, so if you are interested in playing along, leave your link here and I will load them onto Karen's Blog when it's all fixed up.

Travellers Inspiration Challenge {one}!!

Hello There my Lovely Blogging Buddies!!!! I'm so very sorry it's been VERY quiet around here this week. I've had a terrible week, with my two little poppets both coming down with this NASTY Gastro bug, myself getting sick, and then hubby being sick too. So the only things I've had time to do are look after my darling family and CLEAN, CLEAN and CLEAN a bit more!!!! Finally though I've managed to sit down and make a CARD.... woo hoo!!!!

Tina aka TravelingMama has just started her own challenge over at her blog, which I might say is a FABULOUS blog... I love visiting Tina and having a giggle, a smile or an "UH HUH" moment. Sooo I was very VERY excited when I found out I had another wonderful challenge to play along with.

Tina is going to give us a photograph of a place travelled as our inspiration each week, and then all we have to do is come up with something creative... anything, as long as it is creative.... sounds wonderful huh... well pop on over and visit Tina for ALL of the deets... trust me you wont be disappointed.

Soooo... here is the card I came up with for her VERY FIRST challenge:-

Here is the GORGEOUS photo we had as our inspiration:-

Isn't it GORGEOUS!!!!

So I used the BRIGHT colours as my inspiration on my card. I started with Cool Caribbean (retired) as my base and added a layers of Regal Rose and Kraft.... why Kraft you ask... well the shoes seem to be sitting on the ground, which I thought resembled Kraft.... uh huh!!!! hahaha.
I've used my Circle Circus Set to create my own background and that is stamped in Close to Cocoa. The embelishment I've made by cutting two tabs from my Round Tab punch and joining them together to create a large circle then stamped another image from Circle Circus onto some Whisper White in Regal Rose and joined them together with a Rhinestone Brad. Add a touch of Regal Rose Ribbon and pop it up on some dimensionals and all done. The sentiment is from Sweet Little Sentiments and is stamped in Regal Rose.
This card is actually a CASE of this card I made a few weeks ago. I just LOVE the layout and given my week needed something quick and easy.

Hope you like and don't forget to visit Tina over at TravelingMama!!!!

Thanks for stopping by.
