And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

This weeks card is a tad skinnier than a the usual card size you'd make. The measurements I used are 3.5" x 5.5". I used the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack for the colour combo. The base of the card is Naturals Ivory and I've used Soft Suede rather than Crumb Cake, partially for a little contrast and partially because it was sitting on my desk ;-).  I used the gorgeous Hardwood Background stamp stamped in Soft Suede Ink and the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder and Large Scallop Edgelit for the Costal Cabana piece across the middle of the card. I'm loving the Scallop Flower Die at the moment, and couldn't resist adding a Real Red Rose the the card, with a little Linen Thread behind it. The sentiment is from the Oh, Hello Stamp Set and I've stamped that in Soft Suede.

Soooo... here is my card for this weeks challenge:-

I turned to the Color Coach for my colour combo this week... Bermuda Bay, Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe and a touch of Whisper White.

I used the Scallop Flower Die to cut out my BURLAP to create a gorgeous flower and added a Doily for the bottom panel (just being a rule breaker, is all ;-) ) I added some Pool Party Seam Binding and some sparkle in the form of Gold Sequins. The sentiment is from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set and I've stamped that in Bermuda Bay.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #211

Happy Sunday!! It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch, I hope you can join us!!

It's been a BUSY weekend here in the Kalé abode... Three fabulous parties in the last two days and now a last minute second sit down to stamp my Sweet Sunday Sketch Card!! This sketch was actually REALLY, REALLY fun and easy to work with... exactly what I needed!!

Here is my card for this week's sketch:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

The ease of creating this card, is also due in large to the fabulous Fresh Prints Designer Paper Stack and some left over Card Candy for a FABULOUS stampin' day some gorgeous stampin' gals and I hosted a few weeks back!!

Like I said, the Fresh Prints DSP was the basis of this ... so the colours are from there... Crumb Cake, Costal Cabana and Real Red!!.. The Card Candy was made using the Sale-a-Bration Banner Bunch and Banner Blast Stamp set.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #210

Happy Sunday!!!!! (INSERT DISCLAIMER).... Issues with my camera battery ( it was FLAT!!...ooops), COMPUTER....it's being temperamental!!! and BLOGGER!!!! it's having a moment all of it's own!!!... I'm a tad late in getting my card up!!! BUT... here we are!

Soooo... without any further rambling... here is my card for today's sketch!

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I can't help myself at the moment!! If I can squeeze a doily, some burlap and use the FABULOUS Hardwood Background stamp in one card... I WILL!!! Of course, I've managed to do that today too!

The colour combo I've used is Crumb Cake and Crisp Cantaloupe. I've used the Scallop Flower Die to create the gorgeous Crisp Cantaloupe flower and added some Gold Sequins and Linen Thread to give it a little Vintagey feel. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs and I've spritzed the whole card (and MYSELF!!) with some Vanilla Spritz, to add some sparkle!

Sweet Sunday Sketch #209

Happy Sunday!!! It's time for another fun Sweet Sunday Sketch, I hope you can join us!

I've had lots of fun playing with my new Hardwood Background Stamp this week, I LOVE IT!!! I may or may not (quite like MAY) be used on almost everything I create for the next month (at least!) LOVE it!!!

So with that said... here is my sample for today's sketch, lets see if you can guess which background stamp I used!! ;-)

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I've used my HARDWOOD Background Stamp... I know, you're shocked!! For the diagonal panel I've used some of the GORGEOUS Fresh Prints Designer Paper Stack.
The colour combo, which has been taken directly from the Fresh Prints Stack is Real Red, Costal Cabana and Crumb Cake. I used my delightful Scallop Topper Punch to create a quick and simple tag, which was also stamped with the Harwood Background Stamp... I did warn you! hehe. and then I used my large Butterfly Punch to punch out the butterfly. I added a little piece, a butterfly actually, of some red DSP from the Fresh Prints stack and a small butterfly punched out in Costal Cabana to give it a little more depth. Let's not forget the addition of some BLING in the form of Rhinestone Jewels.

Some Crumb Cake seam binding and a Real Red button with a splash of Linen Thread finished it off quite nicely, I thought.
