Sweet {SWEET} Sunday Sketch #164

ETA:- Apologies for the late post, it would appear that in my excitement of being ready early, I forgot to hit the correct buttons when 'attempting' to schedule my blog post :-/ ... hmmmm...  SORRY!!!

Happy Sunday!!! I hope you're ready for another fun Sweet Sunday Sketch! This week is  a little MORE fun, because our awesome leader has some FUN Blog Candy up for grabs for one lucky person!!!.. So DO join us!!

Okay.. this week I thought I'd do something a little different.. and seen as our resident rule breaker Jen, isn't with us any more (*waving Jen.. LOVE YA!!!), I thought I'd fill her shoes.. hehehe.
Well, ok, I didn't really break the rules I just changed it up a bit.

Here is my card/scrap card for this week:-

And here is the layout for you:-

When I sat down to make my card this week, I thought it would be fun to create a scrap page layout using it.... ANNNDDD.. of course I just so happened to receive my little girl's school photos, so it worked out PERFECTLY!!! I'm thinking I'll make another, but a FULL Size scrap page for this darling photo. She's BEAUTIFUL isn't she :D. Yep.. I know I'm biased ;-).

I've used the gorgeous Twitterpated DSP from the soon to finish Mini Catalogue. The flower is made using my Triple Doily Punch, and I've used my Designer Frames Embossing Folder for the little pink frame behind the photo. A touch of Baja Breeze Seam Binding and a little tag and it's all done.

I hope you like what I've created and for some more amazing inspration be sure to visit the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers:-

And don't forget to link your card to InLInkz over at Karen's blog so we can all see what you've created.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

A {Suprise}

A few weeks ago I received an email from Melanie Schulenberg of Pockets of Inspiration Blog, asking me if I was interested in joining the Creative Take Design Team for the Paper Crafters Sampler (PCS). The PCS is a monthly online magazine for Stampin' Up! customers and demonstrators and is filled to the brim with ideas and inspriation using Stampin' Up! products.
Included int he magazine is a template, designed by Melanie to create your own 3D object, and it's my job :D, to have a play with the templates and see if I can create something a little different and HOPEFULLY inspire you in the process :D.

I have to admit to being in shock for a while after I'd read Melanie's email... I wasn't sure if she'd sent it to the wrong person.. hahah..

The template I've worked on first is fromt he July Issue , which is filled with Summer inspiration and BRIGHT colours. Although, for me it's actually in the middle of winter, it's always nice to pick up some bright colours and play.

If you'd like to subscribe and receive your own electronic copy of the July Paper Crafters Sampler then just click here.

The template Melanie has given me to work with is a Lollipop Podium, and this is what I came up with:-

I've got an idea for something else using the same template and hope to have that up for you to see sometime this week, so do pop on back to see .

I've used a combination of fabric (Flirtatious) and Designer Series Paper to create my butterflies and then pop them all through my Big Shot using my Beautiful Butterflies die. I used my Doily Triple Layer punch to create the Wisteria Wonder flower on the front and made some 'grass' using my paper snips and some Lucky Limeade Cardstock. Some buttons, Brads and Satin ribbon finish it off quite nicely I think, and it's definately something I can see me making more of, especially as I have two little girls who ALWAYS need pretty party ideas!! :D

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #162

Happy Sunday!! I hope you're ready to play along with us this week, on the Sweet Sunday Sketch!

Here is my card for this weeks challenge:-

And here is the fun sketch for you to play along with:-

I've gone a little embossing crazy this past few weeks, so I'll try to change it up a bit for you next challenge.. haha.

I firstly stamped the background using the 'Reason to Smile' stamp set, in VersaMark, then used White Embossing Powder and my heat tool to create my own DSP, so to speak. I ADORE white on Crumb Cake, don't you!?

The main image is the other flower from the same stamp set, also heat embossed in white, then I used my Stampin' Write markers to colour the images. One is coloured in Blushing Bride and Cherry Cobbler and the other in Baja Breeze and Island Indigo.

I added a little piece of Twitterpated DSP, some Island Indigo scallops, cut using my Big Shot and Edgelits and finished it off with a BIG DOUBLE BOW in Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding. I'm a little obsessed with those bows at the moment too, in case you hadn't noticed! ;-)

The rest of the Sweet Sunday Stamper's have some AMAZING cards to show you too... sooooo... off you go.. go visit them and be INSPIRED:-
And don't forget to link your card to InLInkz over at Karen's blog (following the DT call instructions if you want to be considered in the DT selection!!) so we can all see what you've created.
