A Circle and a TILT!!!!

A bizarre title, right?!!!.. Well you'll see why in just a sec.

I've been meaning to post these cards for you to look at for a month now and thought I'd best do it.

The first one, being the Circle was a card I made for my gorgeous friend for her birthday:-

I used an old Sweet Sunday Sketch layout, but I can't remember which one!!.. I'll check and let you know!! And a FAVE colour combo of Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. I also used the FABULOUS Build a Cupcake set and the accompanying Build A Cupcake punch!!

The second card was one I made for my little nephew Carter for his 2nd Birthday and this one is TILT!!!

Now!!.. you all know my aversion to anything crooked or tilted, so I was quite suprised with myself and if the truth be told I'm still in a little shock, when I came up with a card for him with a TILTED panel!!!.. I can't take all the credit for this one, as I saw an amazing creation by the very talented Renee and quite blatantly CASED it. (It's got a TILT!!! I had to!!! :D )

I hope you like my mid/end of week post. I'll be back on Sunday with another fabulous Sweet Sunday Sketch!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #123

Happy Sunday!!! It's time of course for another Sweet Sunday Sketch, so I hope you can find some time to play along! :D

I enjoyed working with this weeks sketch, that is of course, once I retrained my 'circle' working brain to be a 'square' working brain. It took a while, but I'm pretty happy with the result. ;-)

Here is my card for this week:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I've used the current Autumn Mini hostess set A Slice of Life today and coloured the image using my SU! Markers in Blushing Bride, Rose Red and Baja Breeze. Now you can't really see it in the picture, BUT I've actually added some Champagne Shimmer Mist to the vase so it's nice and SPARKLY!!!

Finished off with some Early Espresso Satin Ribbon, some Chantilly Lace, a bit of Pink ribbon and some Pearls and we're DONE!.

The rest of the Sweet Sunday Stamper's have some AMAZING cards to show you too... sooooo... off you go.. go visit them and be INSPIRED:-

And don't forget to link your card to InLInkz over at Karen's blog so we can all see what you've created.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #122

Happy Sunday!!! Seriously!! These weeks seem to be going by faster and faster! I can't believe it's Sunday AGAIN!!

We have a BUSY day in the Kalé abode today, celebrating my fabulous and amazing husband's birthday!!. Of course, his birthday usually results in some sort of FESTIVAL!! hahaha. He's off to his Mum and Dads at the moment for a YUMMY lunch with Miss J, unfortunately Miss E is unwell so we have to stay home :(. BUT... the reason your here is not to hear about the FESTIVAL, but to check out this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch!!

Here is my card:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I've attempted the amazing and gorgeous Sharnee's Torn Paper Frame technique today... Sharnee demonstrated this at Convention this year and I have to say.. I'm going to require a LOT more practice before I get it looking anything close to Sharnee's

I've used Crumb Cake, Melon Mambo and Early Espresso as my colour combo and stamped the vase image from the current Autumn Mini hostess set A Slice of Life.

To create the first part of the circle I actually embossed the image then sponged over the image with my Champagne Shimmer mist, before colouring it in.

Well!!! As promised some weeks ago... I'm FINALLY sharing my FINAL installment of Convention pics!!

So... here we go with a few snaps of the night of nights on the Stampin' Calendar.... if you thought Convention itself was exciting...well.... add the opportunity to "Dress Up" in our pretties for a night all in the name of Stampin' and you get yourself a whole new level of EXCITEMENT!!!

Sooooo..... the pics:-

First up the Lovely and Fabulous Lulla.... it was Lulla who convinced me to wear my BIG Pink Flower in my hair.. I was feeling a little, well, apprehensive about it at first!!! Love this pic!!!

And next the lovely Fi and I... I am in LOVE with her gorgeous dress and adore this pic of the two of us.

And of course the Beautiful and fabulous Sarah Klass!!!

Ooohh.. oohh and here... KIRSTY BROWN!!!... Kirsty is an absolute delight and SOOOOOOOOOO clever.

And the GORGEOUS Sharnee!!!... One of many HUGS for the night.. I had to get my "fill".. I may not see her again for another 12 months!!! Isn't she gorgeous!!

And a shot of Lulla and I with the AMAZING, FUNNY and FABULOUS Bonnie!!.. I LOVE this lady... she's absolutely GORGEOUS!!!

Oohh... ohhh.. and Teneale Williams!!!.. Seriously... one of, if not the MOST talented stamper I've EVER had the pleasure in meeting!!!! And she's such a GORGEOUS person too!!!

And because I can.... One last shot of Lulla and I!!!!

So.. there you go.. my last lot of photos from Melbourne Convention... I have to thank GORGEOUS Lulla for ALL of these shots... I left my camera behind on the night, so Lulla quite happily snapped all of these for me. Mwah!!

Hope you enjoyed this final installment!!

Be back soon.

Here is my card for today's sketch:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

I've made a Wedding Card today!! And kept the colour scheme... Vanilla and Black!!.

The back panel is made up of ALL of my border punches, all put together to create a 'Vintagy Lace' look. Oh and they've all been Sueded!!.. I  know, I know.. I'm a glutton for punishment!!.. ahahah.

I've used my Fifth Avenue Floral set for the Rose in the Circle... a stamp set which has be sadly neglected over the past 12 months!! I've also used some Champagne Shimmer Mist to go over the rose... however the photo doesn't show it's Shimmery goodness.. sooo.. you'll have to pretend you can she it in all it's Shimmery Glory and give it the appropriate .. oohhh.. and ahhh!! hahaha.

The sentiment is from Well Scripted and it's all finished off with lashing of Vanilla Satin Ribbon and Pearl Jewels!!.
