Merry Christmas!!!

Just thought I'd pop in and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe, joyful and Happy New Year. I hope the new year brings you many, many  happy memories with those that you cherish.

I'm so looking forward to celebrating Christmas with my beautiful family, now that I have a chance to STOP and slow down and just be, I can watch the JOY and EXCITEMENT in their faces as they wake up on Christmas morning and ENJOY!!

I wanted to share with you our family Christmas Card this year and a few fun photos that came with it:-

This is my BEAUTIFUL family, and when I say beautiful, I truly mean beautiful inside and out. I know they're mine and I'm possibly (ok VERY) biased, but honestly I couldn't be prouder of how my gorgeous girls are growing up to be kind, considerate and caring of all those around them. I LOVE my little family so very much.

The outtakes, because they just make me SMILE!!

The GIGGLES!!

The DISCO!!.. This one was Miss J's idea.. notice she's REALLY working her pose.. hahaha, and Miss E.. well she just cracks me up!!

Look at the concentration on Miss Ella's face!

Hope you enjoyed a little Christmas cheer from the Kalé Clan.

I look forward to seeing you all in 2012.

Love

Happy Sunday!!! HOpe you've had a fabulous weekend. My SSSC card is going to be a little late today, but I have a good, a VERY good reason. I've been organising a little "Princess Party" this week and today was the day, and just so you believe me here are some pics:-

Princess Belle (aka Miss Jorja) and Princess Aurora (aka Miss Ella). THANKYOU Aunty Kiki for hunting down the Princess Belle finery....see, if she was the normal height of an almost 5yr old it would be the perfect length... hahha

Princess Belle... just as THE Princess Belle arrived bearing gifts. And yes.. Mummy here cried.. I know!!.. but I'm a SOOK and I can't help it! hahah

She was SO excited to see Princess Belle.. a little, well ok BIG suprise Mummy and Daddy had kept for her... "Mummy, how did you get Princess Belle to come to my Party!?"

And the cake!!.. Of course Princess Belle for Princess Belle (Jorja) and quite delicious if I do say so myself!!! ;-)

Sweet SUnday Sketch #146

Happy Sunday!!. It's time of course for another fabulous Sweet Sunday Sketch.

I can't guarantee that you'll be jumping in raptures over my sample today, but, for me it's a minor miracle that it's even made, let alone photographed and blogged. It's been a CRAZY week here... with Kindy Mum duties (which I LOVED by the way!!), swimming, dancing, more dancing, then some more dancing rehearsal, then a Dancing Concert, a Christmas Party thrown in there somewhere and then of course just normal everyday living and necessary things to do!!. CRAZY!!

Sooooo.... here is my sample (please be kind!!):-

And here is the fabulous sketch for you to play along with:-

I've gone and made another gift tag today. Yep, it's my go to thing now when my brain is overloaded. hahaha.

My colour combo is Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and some retired SU! DSP!.

I've used my Contempo Christmas Set and stamped the Christmas Ornament out three times in Cherry Cobbler then punched it out and gave it a serious dunking into the Dazzing Diamonds pot. The "falalala" is from my Season of Joy set. I'm actually thinking of using this on my Advent Calendar this year, which is currently 4 days late in its putting up, but hopefully will be up by the end of tomorrow... hahha.. oops!!!

The rest of the Sweet Sunday Stamper's have some AMAZING cards to show you too... sooooo... off you go.. go visit them and be INSPIRED:-

Here is my card for this week:-

And here is the sketch:-

I've been wanting to make one of the GORGEOUS Santa Punch Art thingamys for AGES, and thought this would be the PERFECT sketch to do it with, well that and some AMAZING 'show and tell' from an equally gorgeous Sarah Klass at a little morning tea gathering on Friday!! :D

The colours are Cherry Cobbler, and well Cherry Cobbler  ;-), some Whisper White and a little bit of Blushing Bride for his face.

I've used a HUGE amount of punches here... let's see... Extra Large Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, XL Bird Punch, Ornament Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (Flower).

Sweet Sunday Sketch #144

Happy Sunday!!! I hope you've had a FABULOUS weekend!!. Here, we're in "Operation De-clutter" mode, and I must admit that if it's sitting still, it's in serious danger of being turfed!!! Yep.. it's time to be ruthless, and in all honesty, I'm still not sure how it's at all possible for one family to accumulate so much C#@*!!! REALLY!!!!

Anyhoo.. the reason you're here is for the Sweet Sunday Sketch, so I won't keep you waiting any longer. Here is my card TAG for today's sketch:-

And here is the sketch for you to play along with:-

PERFECT for a Gift Tag don't you think? I needed something quick and easy tonight, and rather than sitting and over thinking my card, I opted for the easy way out and made a Gift Tag instead. I actually really like it and I'm thinking I'll whip up a few more!. Oh, that and the fact that I've been dying to use my new Textured Impressions Designer Frames, that's probably the main reason I made a Gift Tag! ;-) , oh and of course my NEW Two Tags Die!!!

The colours are Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Naturals Ivory with some Vanilla Seam Binding and some Early Espresso ink for the sentiment.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #143

Happy Sunday!!! I hope your weekend has been amazing! It's time of course for another Sweet Sunday Sketch.

I thought I may as week stick to my Christmas theme and create another Chrissy card... THREE down and TOO many to go.. hahaha.

Here's my card for this week:-

And here is the sketch:-

Now, I played and played and moved things, removed things, tilted my head ( you know the way, right?.. the tilt when you're trying to make it look differently to what it really does ;-) ), then, I removed things, re-sponged things, tilted again, squinted and pretty much threw my hands up in the air. I'm still not 100% sure that I'm 100%  happy with this one, but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. Sooo, in an attempt to save my neck from permanent injury (you know from all the tilting) I decided to settle and just let it be.

I've used my Delicate Doilies, Contempo Christmas and  Happiest Birthday Wishes (Hostess) Stamp sets. The colour combo is Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake,Vanilla, Old Olive and some Retired Christmas DSP,

hip-hip-hooray!!

Hello!!! No you're not hallucinating, this is REAL.. a SJ blog post mid week!. Take a moment to recover, I'm taking a little moment myself.. haha.. at the fact that I manged to sit down and make a little card, that this little card is for a boy (that's right, not a scrap of Pink, glitter or ribbon to be seen ANYWHERE!!), AND, that I'm actually posting it here on my blog for you to see.

We had a little birthday party to go to on the weekend and do you think I had ONE card suitable for a little boy in my stash? NOPE not ONE, not even one that could be tweaked to be suitable for a lil' man. So, after panic set in, I managed to calm down enough to remember that I got THE perfect little man stamp set at Regionals this year and here, my lovely blog friends is the final result of all that PANIC, haha :-

I've use the FTL164 as my layout, absolutely PERFECT and an AWESOME layout that I will most definately be using again SOON!!!

The stamp set is Under the Big Top and I've stamped the clown image from it (minus the little sentiment that is with it) in Stazon Ink on Water colour paper, then coloured it using various Ink Pads (Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight) and for this image I opted to use a Blender Pen rather than my Aqua Pen, purely because there are too many little spaces to colour :)

The DSP is some retired Stampin' Up! goodness, I can't think of the name of it at the moment, and the clown image was cut out using my Decorative Label Punch with a splash of Wasabi cardstock behind it.

That's pretty much it. I hope you like it, be sure to leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

I really enjoyed working with this weeks sketch and here's my card for you to see:-

I've decided to start my Christmas cards now, rather than wait until a few days before Christmas to even think about starting.. oops... SOOOO that means that many of my FAVE peeps might actually get a card in the mail this year!! WOO HOO!

Anyhoo... the card.. I've used the same colour combo as last week, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette and Cherry Cobbler, with a little dash of Early Espresso. My Little {Big} Flossie, Miss J, thought it was WONDERFUL!!! haha, and was quite the supervisor! ;-)

Photoberfest - Kids!!!!

Happy Tuesday!!! Today I've got a post for you of the Non-crafty variety, well non-crafty in the sense that it's not paper craft, but rather photography craft.

I've been reading a lovely blog Katie Evans Photography, and she give amazing, simple ideas and tips for taking photographs and this week she's got a little Photoberfest competition in photographing Kiddies!!!. Considering I have two of these said "kiddies" and about a gazillion photos I thought I'd enter her gorgeous competition.

I'm entering THREE photos this week (it's ok, I'm allowed to, I checked, I promise ;-) .

Here is my FIRST entry:-

My beautiful Miss Jorja. This is one of my FAVOURITE shots of her, one of those moments where she was playing outside and I actually had my camera. LOVE this and LOVE, LOVE her!!!

ENTRY #2:-

Miss Ella, Those EYES!!... that's really all I can say THOSE EYES!!.. Combined with THOSE eyelashes which I swear are a MILE long, no really, they are!!

ENTRY #3:-

Beautiful Sisters! We took this photo for Daddy to take to work and put on his desk. Can you feel the LOVE!? :D

Oki, so all the photographs for this weeks competition will be posted on Pintrest HERE. The photo with the most LIKES at the end of the week will be the winner. How FUN, right!!?

I hope you like my photos and if you have the time, PLEASE do pop on over and give them a 'LIKE'.

If you don't have Pintrest go --> HERE <-- for a clickable link!

Sweet Sunday Sketch #137

Happy Sunday!! I hope you've had a fabulous week. We're just about to start the "Kindy" holidays this week.. WOO HOO!! Yes I LOVE the Kindy {school} holidays.. LOVE them!! :D Extra time with my gorgeous biggest flossie, of course extra time with my littlest one too :D, absolutely NO having to be anywhere at a certain time.. YAY!, unless of course we choose to be. Two whole weeks of not having to do too much at all, except of course on Monday.. Monday we are required to make a trip to IKEA.. yes you read that correctly.. IKEA, because my littlest flossie is turning THREE!!! and of course she's VERY excited that she can go into the IKEA Kiddies Room to play!! Our trip to IKEA will, of course, be purely for her to fulfill her 3rd birthday wish and absolutely NOTHING to do with Mummy wanting to go and have a little wander around ;-).. haha.

Righty.. enough about that and back to the reason you're here, Sweet Sunday Sketch time of course!!!

Here is my card for this week:-

A Miss J Masterpiece!!!

Hello!!!

Next week, Monday actually!!! Is little Miss E's 3rd Birthday... where did that time go!!??

Anyhoo... Big Sis, Miss J has been very excited about the preparations of Miss E's birthday celebrations and has been busy helping me get her presents, which all seem to be from Miss J now!! Hmmmm and of course wrapping them, which is a masterpiece in itself, and if the amount of sticky tape ripping last night was anything to go by, that present may never, ever actually get opened!!!

The biggest excitement for Miss J though was getting to create her very own birthday card to give to her little sister, and can I say that i hope that enthusiasm, love and joy continues for ever and ever.

Let me paint the scene for you! Miss J had begun negotiations at the beginning of the week for staying up a little later when Miss E went to bed so she could wrap the present and make a card, and last night was THAT night!!! After wrapping the present and being ever so proud of her efforts she ventured into MY craft room and reappeared with the following goodies:-

  •  A BIG armful of DSP!!;
  • One Extra Large Bird Punch;
  • An armful of Stampin' Spots!!.. They're all hers now and she LOVES having all "these colours Mummy";
  • One Avery Stamp set; and
  • A "Mummy can you please bring the Cleaning Scrubs"  ( ie stampin' scrub).
Can I add firstly that the mere mention of her wanting to stamp sends me into raptures, but the addition of the "Cleaning Scrubs" left me with a HUGE sense of accomplishment.. bwhahaha.. Bless her heart!!!

Soooo... after some serious colour choosing, placement assessment, punching, colouring and of course STAMPIN', here is the final masterpiece:-

She was SO very proud of her card.. and well I was SUPER, SUPER proud. I think her proudest moment may of actually been when after a little discussion trying to figure out if she could get the 'Purple' Birdcage (the one with the owl in it) to have a stand on it. I told her that I wasn't sure she could without it going through her other cage... but she was determined to show me that it could be done.. and well as you can see, she did it.. followed with a big smile and a " See Mummy, I told you I could do it!!" :-)

Please leave her a little comment, I know she'd LOVE to hear what you think.

Thanks for stopping by.

xx Sarah

And here is the FABULOUS sketch:-

I've used Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Blushing Bride as my colour combo. The background on the card was created using my Creative Elements Stamp Set and inking up the flourishy stamp with Versamark and then using White Embossing Powder to create my own DSP!!. I added some Blushing Bride DSP to the bottom and finished it off with some Early Espresso scallops and some Crochet Trim (Victoria). To create the circle centre piece I used another one of my Doily's from my Delicate Doily DSP pack and sponged it with some Crumb Cake ink and then added some Shimmer Paint (LOVE this stuff!!!). Then I used my Posy Punch Hostess Set and Posy PUnch to create the flowers. Of course some GLAMOURFICATION was required and the gorgeous Pearl Jewels provided that!!

The rest of the Sweet Sunday Stamper's have some AMAZING cards to show you too... sooooo... off you go.. go visit them and be INSPIRED:-
And don't forget to link your card to InLInkz over at Karen's blog so we can all see what you've created.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
