Sweet Sunday Sketch #62 meets Just Add Ink #10

Wow!!! That was a mouthful!!!

Happy Sunday!!! Hope you have had a wonderful weekend. It seems that Perth has mostly recovered from our FREAK storm during the week and the sun has decided to grace us once again!!

FINALLY I've managed to participate in a Just Add Ink Challenge... it's only taken me 10 weeks.. SORRY GIRLS!!!!! When I saw the little swatch in my Google Reader for Just Add Ink.. my heart skipped a little beat... from the small picture it looked like a combination of Kraft and Pinks... ooohhhh now you can see why my heart skipped a beat!!!!... Well I went on over for a closer looksie and what I believed to be PINK was in fact CAMEO CORAL!!!!! Gasp!!!! However, having already decided to have a go.. I wasn't going to let one little scary colour deter me... so on I went. :D... Now to add to the little addition of an SJ Scary Colour, one of our fabulous Sweet Sunday Stampers... who for today shall NOT remain nameless.... VICKI!!!!!! gave our Head Sweet Stamper Karen a little sketch for us all... AND... it has... wait for it.... A TILTED PANEL!!!!! like I said.... VICKI!!!!! hahah ( Don't worry folks.. Vicki knows we love her... just not her funny tilted panel ideas.. hahaha)... soooo what I'm trying to say is that I've conquered not ONE, but TWO scary moments on the one card... hopefully the results don't scare you away!!!

Ok... So it would appear I've gotten a little carried away, so I best get onto the Eye Candy before you all disappear. SORRY!!!! :D

Here is my card:-

And here is the CRAZY tilted panel sketch (hahaha):-

And here is the lovely Just Add Ink Colour combo:-

I've busted open a NEW goodie today for this one... A wee little punch that will be available NEXT WEEK in the NEW Autumn Mini Catalogue... oooh it's LOVELY!!!!! Actually I think I've just passed with the Just Add INK component... A little bit of sponging and a little sentiment.. phew.. LUCKY!!!

I've used Kraft as my base and layered some Close to Cocoa and DSP from Candy Lane with a layer of Cameo Coral and some ribbon from my stash which just so happened to be a PERFECT match to Blush Blossom... AWESOME!!!! The TILTED Panel is a layer of Cocoa and Blush Blossom which I've sponged around the edges and then added some Paper Piercing to.

Be sure to pop on over to the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stamper's blogs to see some more AMAZING creations:-

And don't forget to link your card to InLInkz over at Karen's blog so we can all see what you've created.

The edges have been sponged with So Saffron and some Choc Chip too just to soften them up a bit and the sentiment is from my Basic Phrases set. Nice card to send to a friend for a "Sprinkle Drink Date" or perhaps just a Coffee Date... hahaha

Inkspiration Inspiration Challenge #19

Happy Friday!!!! It's time for another Inkspiration Challenge and this week Keesh has set us an Inspiration Challenge, I do hope you can play along.

Here is my card for this weeks challenge:-

And here is the Inspiration picture for you to play along with:-

I'm thinking we're going to see lots and lots and LOTS of flowers this week... and I am no exception to the rule... who doesn't love flowers anyway... Right?

I've pulled out one of last years Hostess Sets (Oh, So Lovely) for this challenge and inked it up using Stazon before colouring it with my Blender Pens in Kiwi Kiss, Old Olive, Almost Amethyst and Lovely Lilac. The sentiment AGAIN is "Happy" from Basic Phrases and "Birthday" from ME!!! (Seriously have to get my butt in order and get some of these made... how cool would that be... I could use my own handwriting and not actually have to write it... EXCELLENT!!!!!)

I've kept this one nice and easy, accenting it with some Apron Lace Border along the bottom, some GORGEOUS Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon and a touch of bling with a Rhinestone Brad.

Be sure to pop on over and visit the other DT gals, for some more AMAZING inspiration:-

Sweet Sunday Sketch #60

Happy Sunday!!!! How's the weather today????? Humid, HOT and pretty much YUK!!!... Well that's what it's like for us West Aussies :o)... hopefully it's a little nicer where ever you may be.

Karen has set another FUN sketch for us this week, SOOOO I hope you can find some time to sit down and play along.

Here is my card for today's sketch:-

And here is the sketch for you:-

I knew I wanted to use the colour combo of Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery, and Garden Green... all was going well until I had a brainwave to use Butterflies and then when I tried to get them all in a little cluster... WELL... it kinda wasn't doing what I had hoped. I did however persevere, which involved an awful amount of fluffing around, fiddling, sighing, going for a walk, coming back and looking at it again, tilting my head ( you know sometimes that helps.. Right?) and then a little more fiddling until I figured it was either going to work and you'd like it (which I hope you do) OR it wasn't going to work and you'd look at it with a tilted head and squinted eyes and just kinda well.. OK NOT LIKE IT!!!!

I do though hope you go for the first option, but do feel free to let me know if you don't.. I PROMISE I won't be offended.. LOL.

Righty enough waffling... why don't you pop on over and visit the rest of the AMAZING Sweet Sunday Stampers... you know they'll have some AMAZING creations for you to see and of course be inspired by:-

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #19

Happy Friday!!!! Hope you've had a wonderful week. For my fellow West Aussies, I hope you've survived the HEAT WAVE we've been having... seriously.. I'm really looking forward to some cooler weather... I didn't think I'd ever say that!!!

Anyhoo.. Keesh has set a Colour Challenge this week and although the colours are GORGEOUS (you'll see in a sec) I actually really struggled with this one this week. I'll explain why in a sec!! hahah

Sooo here is my card:-

And here is the Colour Combo for you to work with:-

Soooo... why did I struggle?.. Well you see.. that little colour up there in the swatch called Taken with Teal.. yes... well I don't actually own any ink, markers OR DSP in that colour.. I know, I know. I do know though that had I had any one or all of the abovementioned items my struggle may not have been such a BIG deal!!!! Yes... I'm off to purchase myself some ink, marker and DSP containing Teal.. I am determined to never have such a struggle again.. hahaha.

I've used my Framed with Love Set again and the the small flower is from my Razzle Dazzle set. I've stamped it once in Choc Chip and once in Whisper White then added a corresponding button for the flower on each one. The sentiment is "Happy" from Basic Phrases and Birthday from ME!!

Be sure to pop on over and visit the other DT gal, I'm sure they struggle LESS than me and produced something AMAZING:-

sweet sunday sketch #59 {happy birthday}

Happy Sunday!!!!!... Hope you've enjoyed your weekend. It's Sunday and that means it's Sweet Sunday Sketch time ... YAY!!!! Although... I'm LATE!!!, I'm LATE!!!!... Sshhhh... don't say anything... oh and Karen, if you're reading this just pretend that I had this up RIGHT ON TIME.. hahaha. I've actually had my card made since Friday (I KNOW!!!!) and even photographed, but I spent the day with my Mum today and, well, I got home a little later that I thought, and have frantically been trying to get my post done, however my computer decided it would have a "GO SLOW" moment!!!! Anyhoo.. It's all done now... Phew!!!!

March is a CRAZY month for birthdays for me, so I thought I'd attempt to get on top of my little birthday card stash by using Karen's gorgeous sketch this week.

Here is my card:-

Here is Karen's sketch for you to play along with:-

I've used Choc Chip, Baja Breeze and Pink Pirouette with a splash of Regal Rose as my colour combo. And because of the way the layers on the card overlap, I've kept it pretty clean and simple. I used me For Everything set for the flower and again a combination of my Basic Phrases and my Handwriting from the sentiment.

Be sure to pop on over and visit the other Sweet Sunday Stampers for some AMAZING inspiraton, they NEVER fail to inspire:-

Inkspiration Challenge {sketch #19}

Happy Friday!!! Hope you've all had a fabulous week. It's Friday, which not only means it's the weekend tomorrow, BUT that it's time for another Inkspiration Challenge.

This week we've got a Sketch challenge, which are always fun and here is my card:-

Here is Keesh's sketch so you can play along:-

I've made my card using Kiwi Kiss, Choc Chip and Kraft. My intention to begin with was to make a Blokey kinda card... Kiwi Kiss, Choc Chip and Kraft are pretty good for a blokey kinda card don't you think? BUT... and I emphasize the BUT... I couldn't help myself and had to add a couple of little flowers under the tree... well it just looked SO lonely there on it's own... hahaha
It was also about time that I pulled out my Trendy Trees set.. (LOVE, LOVE that set... again going on my BLokey card feel) then thought it might be fun to add some Hodgepodge.. you know the tin filled with GOODIES that has been sitting on my desk for AGES and not been used!!!, as a focal point of the tree. The sentiment is from my Trendy Trees set also and is stamped in Kiwi Kiss and Real Red and just to add a little bit of depth and dimension to my Krafty bits I've sponged around the edges with some Choc Chip.

So there you go... hope you like this little Tree... and be sure to pop on over and see what the other Inkspiration DT have made for you to see, I'm sure you WONT be disappointed:-
