A Little Little One Kristina Challenge!!!

Another week has flown by, and apart from almost chopping my finger off (oh that is a whole other story!!) I've had a good week, busy but good!!! And of course I've managed to sit myself down for another Kristina challenge.

Here is this weeks colour inspiration:-

The colours this week are Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Bordering Blue, Sage Shadow and Certainly Celery.

I've gone a little different this week. It's Jorja's second birthday next Saturday and I want to create a couple of Scrapbook pages of her for the day, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make one... and soooo I did.. You must however forgive me for the photo.. I will take another tomorrow outside, but I didn't want to miss the deadline, so I HAD to take one inside!!!!

Anyway... I've used Perfect Plum as the Base and layered it with some Certainly Celery DSP. The photo is mounted onto a piece of Pale Plum. My flowers are from the Bodacious Bouquet set and I've used Pale Plum then 'Rock and Rolled' the edges in Perfect Plum to give it some depth, the centre flower is stamped in Perfect Plum with a Blue brad in the centre. I used my Big Deal Alphabet and my Simple Serif Alphabet sets for the title which I've stamped in Sage Shadow, Certainly Celery, Pale Plum and Perfect Plum.

So there you have it... My beautiful 'Little Little One' having an OH so RARE moment of stillness... I absolutely ADORE this picture of her. I hope you like it too.

Kristina's Colour Challenge #33

WOW.... it is that time of week again... another Colour Inspriation Challenge set by Kristina. And here is the inspiration picture for this week:-

The colours are Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Taken with Teal, Whisper White and Certainly Celery. I don't actually have any Taken with Teal so I've substituted it with Tempting Turquoise... I didn't think Kristina would mind!!!

Anyhoo... here is my card:-
I've use Chocolate Chip for the base of the card then put a layer of Certainly Celery DSP along the bottom, which I've Faux Stitched using my paper piercer and White Pen, I've also added some Certainly Celery Wide Grosgrain Ribbon. The circle are Pumpkin Pie (which I've done by cutting two 'Scallop Punches' and joined them together then layered them with a scallop of Tempting Turquoise and a circle of Certainly Celery. The Flower is from the Boho Backgrounds stampset and I've stamped that twice onto Whisper White in Chocolate Chip Ink. The brad in the centre is a silver brad which I've dipped in VersaMark and White Embossing powder and set with my Heat Tool.

The sentiment I've done using whisper white and Chocolate Chip Ink and my Simple Serif Mini Alphabet set.
Here's a little close up of the flower for you.

Anyway, I hope you like it.

Happy Birthday Lachie

Tomorrow is our Godson Lachie's Birthday. We had is party on Saturday and I thought I'd show you all the card I made for him.
Now most of you know that I do indeed struggle to make BOYS cards... apart from the fact that they aren't generally too keen on Pink or Flowers, I just don't seem to be able to come up with as many funky ideas as I can for girls. My group of lovely ladies who attend my SAS nights have also challenged me to come up with a 'Cards for Boys' night, sooooo ladies... here is a sneek peak also of one of the cards that will be on the agenda!!!

I hope you like!!!

Now I'm sure I saw a card similar to this somewhere... but I can't for the life of me remember, so if you know where please let me know so I can link it back!!!!

Anyhoo... for this card I've used the Nursery Necessities Set for the Boat and Short and Sweet for the sentiment. Firstly I used Kraft Card stock as the base and then layered it with some Real Red and Blue Bayou, which I've stamped the bottom of with the star from the Nursery Necessities set and also punched some Jumbo Eylets using my 'Crop-a-dile' ( a nice new toy, which we will play with at our next SAS too!!!). I've added a strip of Whisper White and Bashful Blue and the boat is stamped onto some whisper white white after been inked up with Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Brilliant Blue Ink. It was then layerd on Kraft, Real Red and Bashful Blue Card. The waves were made by tearing some Blue Bayou cardstock and inking the top with my Brilliant Blue Ink Pad. I also used my Piercing Mat and Needle to do some Faux Stitching on the Bashful Blue Layer.

I was quite proud of the BOYS card... not an ounce of Pink or a flower to be seen. hahaha.

Hope you like and I hope Lachie liked it too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LACHIE!!!!

Advent Calendar... FINALLY!!!

Hello, Hello!!!!

Well I promised my self last Christmas that I would make myself an Advent Calendar to hang on the wall. Lets just say its been a "Work In Progress" for quite some time.
Well I'm pleased to tell you all that I have finished and it is ready to be hung.... well ready apart from a few MAGNET Issues... which I will rectify tomorrow. Yes, I went to hang it and lets just say the magnets decided not to do their job... so there was a lot of "Clash, Clatter, Clang" going on, some under the breath chatter to myself and a lot of giggling from Shaney!!!!! mmmmm!!!

Soooo... here it is my 'Piece de resistance"!!!

Now.. I can't take full credit for this, as the idea I got from SCS, but I promise I did all the cutting and sticking (even the magnets that aren't sticking!!!!).
I used my Dashing DSP and some Old Olive DSP also for the top band. The Dashing squares are layered on some Chocolate Chip squares also.
I've used my Scallop Punch to punch out, Real Red, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip Scallops which have been layered alternately with cirlces of Real Red, Old Olive and Choc Chip and then circles from the Dashing paper. I didn't have any number stamps so I've used some little wooden numbers that I've coloured using my Chocolate Chip Ink Pad. Then it was basically sticking it all together, which I must admit was the most time consuming part... particularly getting the squares all lined up!!!!!

Anyway I hope you like it, and Bear you should be proud... after all I was only ONE day late!!!! NOw all I have to do is fill the tins with some YUMMY goodies for Shaney and Jorja to indulge in.... Well Ella is too little and I'm probably too slow! hahaha

I've got some more cards to post, so don't go too far.
