Colour Challenge #28

Now... here's something worth celebrating... YEP I have managed to sit down, amidst the EXTREME lack of sleep (due of course to my BEAUTIFUL Ella!!) and actually participate in Kristina's Colour Challenge for this week... I'm VERY EXCITED!!!!

Here is the inspiration for this week:-
The colours are Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, Sage Shadow and Whisper White.

And here is my card:-
I made this card with my 'Pick a Petal' stamp set, which I LOVE and I took my inspiration for the card from this one I'd made a while ago. (Oh and I've just realised that amongst all the excitement of actually sitting down and making a card that I have in fact used Rose Red instead of Ruby Red!!!! Oopps... Please forgive!!!)
Sooooo... the base of the card is Rose Red, with a layer of Sage Shadow and Whisper White. The Petals are stamped in Pumpkin Pie with an overlay of Rose Red and the sentiment is from the Curvy Verses Stamp set and is stamped in Sage Shadow.

This card actually has two purposes... not only is it for Kristina's Challenge but it's now going to be sent to my BEAUTIFUL Friend Leanne... well Just Because!!!!

Hope you like it.

Here everything I used:-

Stamps:- Pick a Petal, Curvy Verses
Paper:- Rose Red, Sage Shadow, Whisper White
Ink:- Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, Sage Shadow
Accessories:- Circle Punches.

Hope you like the pics.
Will be back soon, and hopefully with some beautiful creations for you.

Cupcakes and a Book!!!!

Well I'm pleased to say that I FINALLY managed to sit myself down and make a couple of things... still plenty more to come, but at least I've made a start!!!

My friend Tracy had her birthday in September and her daughter Sarah had her 6th Birthday last week so here are a couple of pics of the the little pressie I made for Tracy and the card I made for Sarah.

First up Tracys pressie:-
I made a note book using some Soft Sky Textured cardstock, some wide Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon and some Fall Flowers DSP.
I covered a chipboard letter with some DSP also before layering everything and sticking it all together. These are so simple to create yet make an absolutely GORGEOUS little gift.

And now for Sarah's card... and a little story to go along with it!!!!

I got the idea for this card from here and here . Ive used Chocolate Chip Card as the base which I've stamped with the Circles/Bubbles from the Big Bold Birthday Set, then I've layered some Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink Cardstock and then stamped the cupcake base in Chocolate Chip Ink onto some Whisper White Cardstock together with the 'Make a Wish' sentiment from the same stamp set also stamped in Chocolate Chip ink. The top of the cupcake was 'Rock and Rolled' using Pretty in Pink and then Regal Rose around the edges and the candles were stamped in Choc Chip, coloured with So Safron and then dipped in some Dazzling Diamonds. The ribbon is the very GORGEOUS Regal Rose Wide Grosgrain.

Now for the story to go with the card. I made this card in the morning, wrapped the pressie for Sarah and took the card out to stick on top (which I did) however... I actually FORGOT to write in the card... yep that's right... I gave a birthday card and didn't write in it!!!! How terrible is that... now I'm going to blame that on my current lack of sleep... what else can I blame... well perhaps the Blonde Hair, but we'll go with lack of sleep for now!!!! hahaha.

Hope you like these little items and I'll be back soon with some more things to share.

I AM STILL Here!!!!!

Hello Everyone!!!!

Just wanted to let you know that I am STILL HERE!!!! Albeit EXTREMELY tired... but that is part and parcel of having a new little darling in the house isn't it... and truth be told I wouldn't change it for anything.
Ella is doing extremely well and is absolutely GORGEOUS... well perhaps I'm a tad biased, but she really is GORGEOUS!!!! Jorja is loving being a big sister... well apart from trying to draw on Ella's head with a Red Crayon yesterday... I guess though if the opportunity is there... well why not take it huh!!!! hahaha.

I will be back in action soon, with some little creations... hopefully much sooner than later... I just need to find some time somewhere in the day to actually sit down and pull out my stamps and get creative... well I'm half way there, I've actually got a stamp set on my desk just waiting to be played with... so perhaps tomorrow I'll get the card and Ink out and we'll be almost there.. hahaha.

So, I'll be back soon.

Take care.

Colour Challenge #24

Here is this weeks Colour Inspiration Challenge set by Kristina. I figured I'd best get in early with this one, given it could be a little while before I get the chance to sit down and make a card... with the arrival of Baby K#2 getting closer and closer...well pretty much any time now!!!! So I'll either have a little person to cuddle, which makes making cards a little bit tricky OR I'll be EXTREMELY sleep deprived... which would make for some very interesting card designs I think... hahaha. Anyway.. back on track, here is the inspiration picture for this week:-

The colours this week were Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss (I used Old Olive) and Very Vanilla.

And here is what I came up with:-

I've used Pumpkin Pie as the base of the card... (Sammy will be PROUD!!!!) and then used my corner rounder punch to make a scallop edge on one side, then I used some Old Olive DSP and scalloped that also before sticking down at the top of the card. I then cut a slit in the the side and used a strip of Chocolate Chip cardstock as a band then tied a knot with some delicious Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain (just for something a little bit different really!!!) then I used my Oh So Lovely Stamp set (Hostess Level 1 set) to stamp the image on a Very Vanilla Circle in Old Olive ink and a flower from another Hostess Set (Cause for Celebration) which I attached with a Pewter Brad and popped up on a dimensional. The sentiment is from the So Many Sayings, yep you guessed it another Hostess Set, which I stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink onto some Pumpkin Pie Card stock.

Hope you like it.

Here is everything I used:-

Stamps:- Cause for Celebration (Level 2 Hostess Set), Oh So Lovely (Level 1 Hostess Set), So Many Sayings (Level 1 Hostess Set)
Card:- Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive DSP, Very Vanilla
Ink:- Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip
Accessories:- Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain Ribbon, Pewter Brad, Dimensionals, Corner Rounder Punch, Circle Punch.
