Colour Challenge #10

I've been dying to try my hand at one of these colour challenges which is due to the inspiration of Kristina Werner. So many of the other talented ladies blogs that I stalk on a regular basis are joining in, so I thought it was about time I had a go.... let go of all my creative inhibitions and dabble in colour combinations that under normal circumstances I'd probably be a little shy to try!! hahaha.

Here is this weeks challenge:-

Now for all of those who know me well, you will all know that when it comes to cards (oh ok pretty much anything then) I really struggle to NOT include something with just a dash of PINK... well I don't see ANY pink at all on this challenge... so for me this is HUGE!!!! well I am pleased to share with you all my creation and there is ABSOLUTELY no PINK in it at all.(Yay for me!!!)

I used a sheet of Not Quite Navy for the base of the card and stuck a piece of So Saffron DSP (from the Palette o' Prints Promotion) on top then cut a piece of Whisper White card stock and roughed up the edges and attached some Old Olive. I used my Scallop Circle punch (who would've thought I'd use this soooo much) and cut a piece of So Saffron DSP and attached a circle of Not Quite Navy which I'd stamped in the middle with a centre piece from my Pick a Petal stamp set in Whisper White to that I added a smaller flower stamped in So Saffron Ink and attached an Old Olive button. Then there's the strip of Not Quite Navy with a touch of Bashful Blue ribbon and yet another little So Saffron flower... I quess I over compensated for the fact that I didn't use PINK and added a few extra flowers. The words are from my So Many Sayings (Level 1 Hostess) stampset, which is such an amazing set of stamps and stamped that in Old Olive Ink. And there you have it... my PINKLESS creation.

Hope you like.

Hey Sarah, great card! Can totally relate to the no pink thing, although for me that also incudes purple. But that's what challenges are for, right? To take us out of the comfort zone and do something we'd never do otherwise. I think you did a great job...and it's always great to see other Australian SU girls giving the Americans a run for their money LOL!!
